Being German, I’m typically disappointed by American pastries as they are so incredibly sweet that you can only have a few bites. I was so happy to find this German bakery which offers a variety of baked goods - pastries, pies, cookies, bread - just to mention a few. All of which are so flavorful but not overwhelming sweet. A must have is the pretzel. They only had one left by the time I got there, but next time, I’m getting there early so I can get a few more. Tip - order your bread a few days in advance to ensure you get the loafs you want.

Been German descendant and have eaten baked German goods in my home country during my whole life I am really happy to have found this place. When you enter in the store you can already smell the fresh breads and cakes! You can taste the high quality ingredients they use! I totally disagree with the comments about customer service. If you go there it’s because you’re going to buy baked goods and not to be pleased. I have had only good experiences with the staff!

Yummy!!! A delightful little treat while on our travels. You won't find a better sourdough in the DFW area. Buy lots, trust me. Update after three years. Still good!! I'm on a sugar cleanse and was able to buy a few delicious items made with natural sweetener and no sugar. The sourdough is delicious. Loved their apricot scones. Delicious pecan pie.

People say after you work at a food place you won’t want to eat there again. Not true. Even after working at the BreadHaus, I still miss the Oma and Garlic bread so much. I would recommend the breads, cakes, cookies and pies to anyone who is missing their European bakeries and anyone who just wants amazing product. Miss y’all. Love from CO.

I was in the BreadHaus for the first time today!! It is WONDERFUL!! I stopped to get just a loaf of fresh bread. The aroma has heavenly. The breads on display were lovely. I purchased my Sourdough & saw some "Train Rolls" and ask about them. The lady told me how good they were--I laughed and ask for two! She wasn't kidding chock-full of raisins...room temp(no butter) Fantastic!! I'm ordering for a dinner party for next Sat!! Y'all check them out!! Yummmmmy!!

OMG found this place by accident, glad I did! You walk in and the smell takes you away. Amazing sourdough and garlic bread, so soft and fresh. Had to go back in and buy another garlic loaf, because the 3 of us ate 1/2 loaf leaving the parking lot. Lol

I’ve been going here since it opened and it’s still amazing to this day! The owners are so kind and knowledgeable! Awesome breads, rolls, pretzels, treats, etc. Everything I’ve had from here tastes great and fresh. They also freeze well if I can eat everything I buy! Thank you, Petra!

FANTASTIC bread! We stopped in to grab a fresh loaf, as our rental home’s 1980’s oven does not bake well (and we love homemade bread). The owner was so very kind, the pretzels were delicious, and we are loving the country loaf we purchased! We will be back to support this delicious small business!

Limited options and when they run out that's it. The lady who works there and speaks German is wonderful. If you know any German definitely go and give her a chat. The smell in there is amazing and the baked goods are very fresh. I had the apple strudel, raspberry kiss, and a few more. I would definitely go back to try new items. I think buying the entire cake is the way to go.

Snazzy place with a great selection of breads. Come prepared to be behind others if you're not coming right when they open!! I recommend the Irish soda bread. You can place an order ahead of time or come in to buy what you need. Counter is lovely and staff is fantastic.

Most of their breads are good and tasty. Petra and her staff do a pretty good job. Unfortunately there's a low retention rate on their staff. The problem seems to be with Mark the master baker. Obviously he has upset some of his (many) journeyman bakers, who tried to get even with him by doing ....

Love the sourdough bread. Being gluten sensitive the recipe used does not cause a reaction and also freezes really well My go to place for sourdough bread in Grapevine. The offerings of other pastries and cakes are great. We have given cakes as gifts to our friends and have been enjoyed with great enthusiasm The train rolls are just perfect. Almost addictive

Great organic bread 🍞, love pretzels and caraway sticks. Oma bread is my number one, delicious multi grain bread. You should also know that this bread can be sliced for you, just ask for it.

I was raised in Germany and this bakery has brought back some great memories. I love their Brotchen rolls. As in public events in Nuremberg where we lived there were venders selling Bratwurst with sauerkraut and mustard on a Brotchen. I do wish they carried Schmaltz, which was our after school treat, it's bacon grease on dark bread and added salt(not to healthy, but we were kids). Why did they rename the store? Brothaus was more appropriate.

BreadHaus’s bourbon pecan pie is the BEST pecan pie I have EVER had! It is sweet without being sickly sweet (like most pecan pies), the flavors are very complex, and the crust and filling textures are addicting!! ¡¡Bien hecho, BreadHaus!!

It was my first time trying their bread. The waste was decent. I only rate this store with ONE STAR for their product because they treated their new customer "me" so RUDE! Here's what they did: one of their employees came out while I was outside the parking lot and asked me this: "Excuse me, is this your car? (he pointed at my car), and I said "yes?." He then said, "can you move it away from the front door?" and I told him, "well, if I can make my car start, then I would be happy to do it." In the back of my mind, this store is so selfish, rude, and doesn't care about their customer. and to think, I was just there (parking) for less than an hour when they approached me. For the first time, my car just won't start, so I called AAA for assistance, I went (walked) to the nearest gas station to buy a battery for my key fab, just in case it will solve the problem. While waiting for help, that's what they did to me (their customer). Where's what I can say: If they don't want your customer to park in a certain area, you should put up a sign or blockage and please do not forget to also put this sign "No Parking for more than 30 minutes!" I was really not a happy customer and I will not go back to this place. Very rude!

Incredible bread and baked goods and fair prices for the quality of ingredients. I love brushing off my Deutsch skills to chat with the owner when I visit. Best bakery in the Fort Worth side of the metroplex!

Wow, just wow. That is some of the best sourdough I’ve ever had. The texture and crisp and everything is perfect. The scone was perfect too- texture and not too sweet. I love that it’s organic as well.

Went in hoping for some good yeast rolls for Easter. None. Breads, cakes & cookies, but no rolls. I did get an Easter bread. Very good. A very dense bread with what I believe to be raisins. The girl behind the counter was very sweet. I could observe breads being made in the kitchen. Lovely smells. I know there are so many breads, so little time. Will have to go again.

This bakery has delicious Finnish rye bread. My family's other favorites are their brownies and apple strudels. They service is friendly. They also ship, if needed. Unfortunately there is no seating nor coffee.

Best fresh bread in the Metroplex. But more than you think you need...because you'll love it. I usually get a roll or small treat for myself for the drive home, a reward for going to get the bread :)

Serving Grapevine since 1996 BreadHaus takes an artisan approach to baking everything from Loaves to Pastries not far from historic Main Street, owners Mark and Petra Lively’s focus on Organic Ingredients and Vegan offerings yielding a loyal following that often sees may items sold out long before closing. Built upon time honored traditions such as slow fermentation, the sizable Europe oven turning out a daily variety of Breads both sweet and savory, it is on arrival that a smell of Yeast is immediately detected while service is quiet but cordial and happy to make suggestions. Not built for the #gram as most items trend rustic, Lebkuchen loaded with Ginger and Citrus but one example, guests can expect prices far lower than other similar concepts with snappy Pecan Shortbread just a dollar and slices of Bourbon Pecan Pie with more Nuts than Filling for $4. Also home to a small larder selling dried Beans and Sauces, hours from 9:00a-4:00p Tuesday through Saturday worth mentioning, early April found Hot Cross Buns a little less fluffy than hoped while Sweet Potato and Almond Squares were each plenty moist, not overly sweet and generously portioned.

What a gem and surprise find, I was out looking for cakes and stumbled into Breadhaus, glad I did and the smells of freshly baked goods amazing. They don't really make layered cakes but their chocolate Bundt cake was delicious not overly sweet and very moist, the taste was fabulous, the family loved it. Will be going by again soon check out the rest of the baked breads and goodies.
