I
came
into
the
ER
early
with
chest
pain,
shortness
of
breathe
and
a
very
low
heart
rate.
I
still
had
to
wait
in
the
waiting
room
for
an
hour
before
being
taken
back.
A
long
day
in
the
ER
with
various
tests,
they
finally
decided
to
admit
me.
I
was
not
on
an
IV
and
went
almost
12
hours
with
no
food
or
water
not
sure
what
plans
the
doctors
had.
Somewhat
understandable.
By
evening
I
was
given
a
fruit
plate
because
I
am
a
vegan
and
a
4
oz
cup
of
water.
After
dinner
I
was
transferred
to
my
room.
Settled,
I
was
given
another
4
ounce
cup
of
water
but
then
back
on
no
food
or
water
after
midnight
in
preparation
for
the
next
days
testing.
By
the
time
I
was
taken
for
my
tests
the
next
day
at
1
pm
I
was
so
weak,
they
were
unable
to
perform
the
tests
on
me.
I
was
pumped
full
of
juice,
crackers
and
peanut
butter
and
taken
back
to
my
room.
Dinner
came,
another
plate
of
fruit
and
water.
By
midnight,
I
was
back
on
no
food
or
water.
And
still
no
IV
fluids.
I
definitely
was
not
dehydrated
when
I
came
in
but
was
getting
that
way
quickly.
During
the
night
I
did
actually
need
to
go
to
the
bathroom
and
called
for
assistance
three
times
before
the
CNA
appeared…she
had
evidently
never
been
notified
I
needed
help.
By
the
morning
I
was
so
dehydrated
and
weak.
Physical
Therapy
deemed
I
was
even
too
weak
to
get
up
with
assistance
and
go
into
the
bathroom
so
they
set
up
a
bedside
toilet.
My
test
was
supposed
to
be
early
but
had
been
pushed
to
the
afternoon.
So
again
I
was
going
long
hours
with
no
food
or
water.
By
this
time
I
could
barely
get
out
of
bed
so
they
took
my
whole
bed
to
the
test
vs
me
going
in
a
wheel
chair.
Obviously
I
was
weaker
than
I
had
been
the
day
before.
The
team
performing
the
test
was
a
bit
upset
the
condition
I
was
in.
If
I
could
give
5
stars
alone
it
would
go
to
Debbie
in
the
stress
test
lab.
She
was
the
one
who
pumped
me
full
of
food
when
she
saw
how
shaken
I
was
from
not
eating
or
drinking.
She
also
had
several
times
called
up
to
tell
the
floor
I
could
eat.
It
unfortunately
was
not
told
to
the
correct
people.
Once
again
I
was
pumped
full
of
juice,
crackers,
and
juice,
and
the
cardiologist
changed
the
order
so
they
could
do
a
different
test
in
my
weakened
state.
Once
I
was
back
in
my
room
and
was
able
to
start
eating
and
drinking
again,
I
could
feel
my
strength
slowly
getting
better.
Dinner
came
again
another
DAMN
fruit
plate.
This
time
there
was
a
menu
slip
that
was
the
official
vegan
menu
options.
The
fruit
was
not
the
default
option.
I
could
have
had
pasta
with
red
sauce,
mashed
potatoes,
roasted
veggies,
soy
milk.
So
I
finally
inquired
and
they
brought
me
some
toasted
carrots.
Rice
and
mashed
potatoes.
I
think
I
definitely
would
not
have
been
as
weak
and
feeble
during
this
stay
had
doctors
talked
among
themselves
and
not
gave
contradicting
orders
to
the
nurses.
Patients
should
not
be
starved
to
death
nor
refused
hydration.
I
even
asked
several
times
for
an
IV
bag
if
I
wasn’t
allowed
water
because
going
pee
once
a
day
mustard
yellow
pee
definitely
indicates
severe
dehydration
that
did
not
exist
prior
yo
coming
to
the
hospital.
Oh
and
as
I
write
this,
I
have
yet
to
be
discharged
and
have
been
waiting
over
an
hour
and
a
half
for
assistance
to
go
to
the
bathroom.
