Greetings,
This
email
is
serving
as
a
formal
complaint
against
Christopher
Bailey,
MD
during
a
visit
to
his
office
Tuesday,
May
9,
2023.
On
May
4th
I
had
a
bariatric
sleeve
procedure
done
by
Dr.
Medina.
On
May
5th
I
was
discharged
home.
While
at
home,
I
began
experiencing
excruciating
pain
on
my
right
abdomen
that
the
medicine
prescribed
could
not
accommodate.
The
night
of
May
5th,
I
called
the
ARC
emergency
line
to
inform
them
of
the
pain
and
to
seek
advice.
I
also
updated
my
MyChart,
so
that
Dr.
Medina
and
his
staff
were
aware
of
the
pain.
On
Sunday,
I
received
an
email
to
report
to
Dr.
Median's
office
to
see
Dr.
Bailey,
whom
I
have
never
met
because
Dr.
Medina
was
out
of
town.
Upon
arrival,
my
wife
and
I
were
greeted
by
the
nurse
whom
we
explained
the
pain
that
had
been
happening
the
past
few
days.
When
Dr.
Bailey
entered
the
room
with
a
medical
student
observer.
He
then
began
asking
questions
of
when
I
had
my
procedure,
due
to
severe
soreness
in
my
throat
from
the
tube
during
surgery,
I
was
unable
to
speak,
so
my
wife
responded
for
me.
Dr.
Bailey
then
proceeded
to
ask
why
I
was
in
a
fetal
bent
over
position,
my
wife
then
began
to
inform
him
of
the
pain
I
was
experiencing
on
my
right
abdomen.
Before
my
wife
could
complete
her
sentence,
Dr.
Bailey
rudely
interrupted
my
wife
stating
"I
need
to
hear
it
from
her".
Dr.
Bailey
them
proceeded
to
discredit
my
pain
level
as
if
I
were
intentionally
being
untruthful
about
the
pain
by
stating
"you
shouldn't
be
in
this
type
of
pain,
I
have
people
who
are
already
back
to
work".
My
wife
then
informed
him
that
I
was
not
like
other
patients
nor
was
I
his
patient
to
make
that
assumption.
Dr.
Bailey
then
Ricky
directed
me
to
get
onto
the
medical
table.
Due
to
the
excruciating
pain,
my
wife
assisted
me,
at
that
point
Dr.
Bailey
aggressively
and
rudely
stated
"she
needs
to
do
this
by
herself".
My
wife
then
stopped
him
and
informed
him
that
I
could
not
due
to
the
pain,
and
that
he
did
not
have
to
be
so
rude.
Once
on
the
table.
Dr.
Bailey
began
feeling
my
stomach
and
noticed
I
still
had
the
sterilization
strips
covering
my
incisions.
He
then
proceeded
the
yank
them
off
pulling
my
skin
stating
"you
don't
need
these
on".
My
wife
then
informed
him
that
Dr.
Medina
informed
us
these
would
fall
off.
As
the
exam
progressed,
Dr.
Bailey
then
deemed
that
he
wanted
me
to
be
scanned
next
door
at
the
Cedar
Park
Emergency
hospital.
This
was
one
of
the
worst
experiences
I
have
ever
encountered.
As
a
medical
professional
myself,
in
no
way
did
Dr.
Bailey
exude
the
mission
of
not
only
national
board
of
medical
professionals,
but
also
the
mission
of
the
Cedar
Park
medical
facility.
While
I
believe
in
the
oath
we
as
medical
professionals
stand
for,
I
cannot
help
but
believe
that
Dr.
Baileys
actions
and
approach
were
racially
motivated
upon
entering
a
room
and
seeing
two
black
females.
Dr.
Bailey
made
me
feel
I'm
a
inconvenience
to
him
and
his
schedule.
He
embarrassed
me
infront
of
the
student
that
was
shadowing
him
as
well.
My
wife
is
a
Doctor
as
well
and
she
was
taken
back
on
how
Dr.
Bailey
behavior
was
shown.
