Beautiful, easy trail loops around the lake. Casual fishing allowed. Special outdoor events & celebrations hosted here. Parking available but best to take sky train, which is steps from the park. Lovely garden and culture centre surrounds the park.

I travel a lot, yet I cannot list too many city parks with as much to offer as Lafarge Lake Park. It is good for families with little ones or dogs, young people, all ages, really. It has multiple sport venues from beach volleyball to a full stadium. There is fishing in the lake, multiple concessions and food trucks. For locals is accessible by SkyTrain. If only we could swim in the lake...Well there is swimming in the town centre facility at a short walking distance from there. Oh, and it is pretty in every season.

It’s very nice to sit there and enjoy the view or to have a walk around the lake. This is the best during regular work days as less crowded and you can enjoy a very relaxing self time.

Beautiful park to visit at all times of the day. You’ll see people sitting on benches, friends chatting while walking, dog walkers, kids playing, and whole families enjoying themselves. The walking direction is only one way (counter clockwise). There is plenty of parking in this area and also clean and accessible public washrooms.

Located within Coquitlam's town center, BC, this park has lake sorrounded by walking trail for anyone including wheelchaired individuals. A haven for wild ducks to entertain visitors at daytime and a spectacular light display during winter season at night. Just doorstep of skytrain station and across Douglas College. Lots of parking areas to choose your comfortable choice

Too pretty to go alone. Go with someone who keeps complaining about how long the walk is l. Jk! The park is absolutely beautiful, could have been even better if it was snowing. Decoration are fascinating! Loved it

This park is in the center of Gaoguilin. There is a lake in the center of the park. There is a fountain of water in the center of the lake. On the west bank of the lake is the Skytrain station. There is an activity center on the east bank of the lake. It is a paradise for children. There are a lot of trout in the lake, which is also a good place for the elderly to play.

I visit LaFarge Lake often. The walk around the lake gives you a bit of exercise although it is just 1.2 km. The views are pleasant and Christmas time is so nice with their festival lights. Summer is great too.

Perfect weather to go for a walk and enjoy the lights luminating the perimeter... can't get enough of them.. and seeing people, young and old leisurely walking around the lake. Pandemic or not, being out here gives good vibes.

Beautiful Christmas lights show there! We had a fun and happy time waking around the lake. The kids had so much fun while they were walking and running to take pictures with everything they liked along the way. Plus had somethings for kids to stop and play not only walking so pretty nice. Oh! They have free hot chocolate but of course what a long line so we didn't get one. I like that they have 2 washrooms each side of the lake so pretty convenient. Our first time visit so we have to go back to walk around at day time. Pretty relaxing time for us so yes, shouldn't miss to visit this Christmas lights show

Gorgeous and peaceful park nearby Coquitlam Central Mall. It is easy to access by car and skytrain. There are a lot of parking lots which is very convenient and less-time consuming. We love walking around the lake and it takes around 20-30 minutes. There are also many activities at Lafarge Lake Park.

Always nice to walk around the lake. The fountain and new amenities are nice additions. Haven't seen anyone shady so it is relatively safe. At night, it is on a darker side as some parts of the trail around the lake have no street lights at all. Would recommend coming here during Christmas and new years because they have lights all around the lake. Also recently added rocky point ice cream shop near the restrooms !!!

Nice and beautiful lake, in the town centre of Coquitlam. Decorations are nice especially during the Christmas season and Canada Day. It’s nice to have a run around the lake in the afternoon since it’s 2.1km around. I’d recommend you visit here locally.

Nice spot in Coquitlam in the heart of the Tri Cities area. I happen to live across the street from the Lake so I frequently walk and use the area all the time. The area is easily accessible from the Evergreen Line at the Lafarge Douglas Station located right there, and also bus stops close by as well. Lafarge Lake/Town Center is a nice area with 7 playing fields from Soccer Football Softball Baseball Rugby and Field hockey and a main stadium as well. Around the area is of course Lafarge Lake with a nice walkway around the Lake, and keep your eyes open for Barny the Beaver and his Home...there's a a nice outdoor stage for music and other events as well. The area hosts a big Canada Day celebration with live music and food and things for the kids as well, also a beer garden also. With Canada Day Fireworks to end the evening off shortly after around 10pm. Also other events held there as well Caribbean Days with Food trucks also, And can't forget about the Christmas Lights display during the Holiday season that are displayed all around the Lake. Also the Lake is Stocked with Trout for fishing also.I'm sure I'm forgetting about a few more things,so feel free to comment if I have... Also in the area are Tennis courts BMX track Skateboard park Beach Volleyball play area for kids Swings and climbing area water park and also basketball courts and roller hockey area table tennis tables/ping-pong... There's also a couple Concession Stands one closer to the Stage area and picnic area, and has Rocky Point Ice Cream there as well. And the second Concession Stand is located right in front of the Stadium front Gates. There's also washrooms throughout the area and change rooms as well as washrooms by the main stadium also. Plenty of free parking throughout the area. Also by the Lake is the Evergreen Theater that has a Concession Stand there also. The Theater has some great local performances all the time, which I have gone to a few and was pleasantly pleased with the performances. Evergreen Theater is located right at the Lafarge Douglas Station on the Evergreen Line.

I have been enjoying nature beauty almost minimum twice a day with walking. Being enthusiastic bird watcher I have being enjoying capturing through camera lens lot of birds in surroundings of the lake and in the Inspiration Garden.

If you haven't visit this lake enjoying the lights, you still have enough time since they are open until February. There are only very a few public washroom in the park. If the city hold this big event every year, for sure draw a lot of people visiting the event. Hopefully, the city can do much better job in the public washroom issue. I saw moms bring little kids were looking for washroom in the Rocky Point Ice Cream spot. But there are only ONE, the moms were lining up and the kids were crying. All the people were asking how come there were only ONE washroom in this so busy spot. For sure it will be not enough washroom even on normal days. Please the City of Coquitlam solve this problem for people visiting your city.

This park has kept the family side and feelings so to enjoy peacefully. Plenty of space, parkings, sitting areas, washrooms, playgrounds (beach volley, skate park, kiddo park...). Few wild life too that will entertain the kids. Walking/running around the pond is quick and fine too. Enjoy!

The lights at Lafarge Lake are wonderful. It is a great place to walk around and admire everything with family and friends. I took my kids there and they had a blast looking for things on the treasure hunt. It is quite the beautiful sight at night and is a great place to capture some very cool photos. It is a fairly short walk on mainly flat paved surfaces. We will definitely be coming back again.

Lafarge Lake was beautiful and cool, a great day to experience the Caribbean cruise at the annual Caribbean festival with local products and live performances. Lines moved very quickly therefore moving from tent to tent and sampling the foods was deliciously delightful.

Very beautiful park on city centre with Christmas lights. It my favourite FREE thing to do every year. Lights display is getting prettier every year. However for my mom with her first winter and bad knees wasn’t a good experience. She loved the lights and beauty of it but it’s very cold to walk around park after 5. Highly recommend to dress up warm and ready with hot chocolate to drink for this beautiful walk. Parking was free as well I went there on weekday πŸ©΅πŸ©΅πŸ’§

Gorgeous park. The whole surrounding area is great. A small lake with fishing, pathways, flowers, a park, splash park, ping pong tables ,foosball tables, soccer fields, a concession, beach volleyball courts.... I mean this place has everything. We ended up there for the Caribbean festival by accident today which was an awesome festival!

Love this area. It's a welcome green space with many sport and park amenities. A beautiful little lake to walk around with neighboring playground, tennis courts, volleyball, and playing fields. The Rocky Point ice cream outlet is great. Added washroom facilities are very convenient. Hosts many family-oriented special events including Canada Day.

This is a really well kept park and in good weather it is the REAL San Francisco treat, I mean Coquitlam treat. Even in poor weather it is still a nice walk. The lake is completely paved around so you do not need gum boots, but this is the Lower Mainland so I would bring a jacket if it is overcast. On a quick side note I hope all people new the BC have waterproof jackets to help them get through this rainy season. As far as thia park goes they have a great winter lights festival and it gets busy but it is worth. Just check this lake out.
