I saw Dr. Norman Gaylis in 2015-2016 and he was the BEST in the country! I've since had to move to Chicago so unfortunately can no longer see him, but I highly recommend anyone with a rheumatic condition make him their first call if you're able. People who complain about his personality don't realize that he is just fighting for you, the patient, and he wants what's best for you! He will fight insurance, fight on your behalf if another doctor has diagnosed you incorrectly, and he will always get it right. I absolutely loved my appointments with Dr. Gaylis and would travel back to see him if I was able to do so. Smartest, most passionate, loving doctor I have ever seen. And he's actually very funny and pleasant if you're not rude to him! Miss all the staff in Aventura!

I've been dodging being diagnosed with MS for over ten years. My symptoms worsened to the point of not being able to stand in the shower. I would have to sit on the floor to finish. Several doctors later, I find myself in the office a few doors down from this office for physical therapy. Brooke and her crew treated me like family. They provided the best physical therapy routine and at-home instructions. I soon realized after several sessions that I was majorly improving, to the point of being able to stand in the shower with no problem. Then come this year, the Neurologist makes the obvious diagnosis and tells me the 2 things that can help are cold weather and physical therapy. I've been to other pt locations but never had the success I had in the pt location down the hall from this doctor.

I had sought an appointment with one of their specialists but when I tried to make one, I was asked upfront about insurance. I have insurance but if in case the office wouldn't take it, I would pay out of pocket. The telephone operator, Julio (?) transferred me over immediately to the front desk, right as I was about to explain that I'm in so much pain, I'd pay out-of-pocket, no problem. Good to know their priorities. I'm seeking help elsewhere.

I visited Dr. Gaylis in 2012 when I was severely sick with Lupus and was not expected to live. My mom and I came over from The Bahamas. Dr. Gaylis was overwhelmed with the state I was in and offered me compassionate and comprehensive care. He devised a treAtment regime with high hopes to help me even though my situation seemed hopeless. I was not expected to live to see 2013 but yet it’s 2021 and I am still here. I continued to improve and continued seeing Dr. Gaylis for a number of years until I left in 2016 for University in Canada. Before I endured so much pain that affected how I walked, I had to stop working and dropped out of school. Slowly but surely with the help of Dr Gaylis and Nurse Odence I got my life back. Dr. Gaylis was so passionate about my case and so pleased with the way my health improved, it was hard for him to part ways but he urged me to find a specialist where I was headed. I owe them a very big thank you. I always refer people to them. If they see this review I want them to know this is Adra McKenzie and I am officially graduating with my degree in biology. I am doing better than ever! Keep doing what your doing. I am forever grateful to you both ❤️

I don’t know we’re I would be without doctor Gaylis. He is genuinely kind and compassionate doctor. He looks for answers and finds them, even when other doctors give up. His open mind and scientific curiosity has to be applauded. His research team is the best. RNs Joanne, Odense and Lina are compassionate, attentive, knowledgable and always treated me like a family. I simply feel lucky that I am with dr Gaylis.

Dr. Gaylis diagnosed me with polymyositis in April 2020. My case was very advanced but his treatments including infusions worked and I have been recovering slowly since then. Dr. Gaylis runs an extremely well organized practice. His people work well together. When I was there I was always treated quickly and rarely was left waiting. I found it easy to request a telemedicine session during the pandemic. When it was time for me to go north for the summer, his office worked very cooperatively with my provides up north. I can strongly recommend Dr. Gaylis.

GO TO THIS DOCTOR, I traveled across the country to see Dr. Gaylis. In a short few months Dr Gaylis has reduced my pain level and because of his treatment I am walking normal. After years of misery from severe pain I now smile and enjoy everyday of life. Rita and the staff are world class, wherever you are in the world, travel to see Dr Gaylis you will never regret it.

It has always been a smooth visit everytime. The staff has a sense of urgency for the patients. There's no long waiting period in the lobby. I appreciate the prompt attention because joint pain is more painful if sitting too long. Dr. Yglesias listens to my concerns, examine and provide treatment as needed .Very professional staff/Dr as always. Would definitely recommend..

I have been a patient of Dr. Gaylis since 1987. Dr.Gaylis is an amazing physician. He cares about each patient as if they are his family and with respect. He is aware each patient has different needs. Your health can have you all over the place, but he will work to find the best treatment for your diagnosis. He will get you stable, so you can be the best you possible. His staff is caring and so very nice. His office is state of the art. My personally journey, after all these years of treatment, I have never been better. I am extremely active and outgoing, in 1987 I could hardly walk. I am now an actress, I do stand up and am exhibiting artist That is pretty incredible. At one time I could not hold a brush or hardly dress myself. Pain was constant. There is a treatment for you, let him work with you to find what course of action best suits your needs.

My wife and I have been to this office several times. While getting an appointment wasn't always easy, the administrator, Sara Schub was very professional and accommodating. She intervened and I was taken within 24 hours. Dr. Yglesias was wonderful, knowledgeable, and personable and I didn't feel rushed. He spent a lot of time with me and really helped me.

The Staff are Great! And Dr. Gaylis is one of the top doctors that I have seen in over 30 years of having a rare disabling illness. The office runs a very efficient & very professional practice. I have never waited more than 10 mins. beyond my scheduled time.Dr. Gaylis is not today’s typical doctor that rushed through your appointment, I’ve been his patient now for 2 years. He thinks outside, alongside, above, below and inside the box when it comes to treatments for patients. He does the work to support and treat his patients! A rare find these days in medicine!

I walked into Dr. Gaylis office for kelp with an ongoing gout flare up. After reading the reviews and the scores somewhat low, I said to myself in 54 yrs of existence on this earth, I have never given a review for any of my doctors. With that said, I took my chances and responded to his office. I was advised that he might be a bit different and arrogant but I responded with an open mind and I was right, I rather have an individual specially a doctor and a professional to be arrogant and knowledgeable of his practice and his knowledge in the field that I’m going to get treated of if he knows what he’s doing and he’s positive and he has years and years and years of experience and dealing with thousands of people that come into his life daily I trusted and with that said the doctor did not disappoint. The staff did not disappoint. The clerical staff did not disappoint. The assistance did not disappoint. Not only did he apply his medical experience and practice upon my issues, but he was able to diagnose Treat and make me overall the patient believable that he is a very well-rounded, professional, knowledgeable, professional, and I with hands-down would say second to none in many of the doctors that I have attended in all different classifications of medicine as a great doctor, and very, very, very thorough and helpful and caring to my knee not only did he clear up my actual knee applied medication and made me go home with a new thought and how to look at all my doctors and look at the reviews that I’ve always ignored reviews don’t make the doctor reviews don’t make the person reviews are only to gauge another patient’s experience and sometimes patients are the problem not the solution they should know that go to the doctor to fix a problem that they’re having medically they’re not there to be treated nice they’re not there to be treated as their own kids they’re there to be treated as patience and to take care of the problem and with that said arrogant or not this doctor second to none one of the best doctors I have ever met and very very very caring to your problems. Thank you as a new patient and being able to treat me and set me up for future visits to take care of my ongoing medical issue. I am sure it only could be positive positive future visits, Dagoberto patient Dr. Gaylis

I had an appointment at this office in November. I had an injury that needed immediate attention and the administrator, Sara Schub, was caring, professional, and instrumental in expediting my appointment that same day. The staff was efficient and the office ran very smoothly. They took x-rays and gave me the results on the spot and I was able to leave with a diagnosis and a treatment plan that same day.

From my moment of arrival to departure, everyone was exceptionally pleasant, courteous and exuded efficiency. I was seen on time and ushered through all the various stages of preparation very professionally. I saw Dr. Gaylis within 20 minutes. He was extremely professional and personable, answering all my questions patiently and thoroughly. We agreed on a plan of action for assisting me with my rheumatic issues. I could not have been more satisfied with my overall experience. Thank you Dr. Gaylis and his team. First class!!
