This place is so tacky and overpriced. I paid $200 thinking it would be worth it. There’s no good view at all, the rooms are tinyyyyy the owner must have spent so little to decorate the place with plastic “chandeliers” and dollar store clocks, curtains, mirrors etc. it’s an old building dressed up to be “fancy” so they can over charge. The air conditioning system is very old and smells like Seward water. There’s random rattling inside the walls and barely any space other than the beds in the room. It’s half the size of the motel 6 I paid half for and it was a lot cleaner! They also make you pay for parking in the lot outside. This place doesn’t even have secure door locks. It’s just a door knob you’d find in an old apartment. And there’s not any side tables or a single drawer to put your belongings in?! I’m so mad this place gets away with this. I hope more people steer clear. Very cruel of them to charge so much and not give us basics. Literally everything you think is customers of a hotel or motel room even is missing. I’m very disappointed I have to sleep in this ghetto place when I could have gotten much nicer for $10-$20 more. Ugh don’t get fooled like I did! The lobby pictures make the place look nice but trust me, go elsewhere.

This hotel can't reach past the bar of a bad joke. I swear you will get a more enjoyable and valuable time getting mugged for $400 than spend that $400 here. If you look at the 5 star reviews for this place you can reverse image search their profile pictures and see they aren't from real people, these are FAKE reviews from the staff. You can try this yourself and see it. I'm 100% sure they went into a different hotel for their pictures and posted it to their site, it looks nothing like what they are showing. You have to pay for parking, there are no refunds and half your money is held captive if you write a bad review, the fact it's 2 star despite that fact is a sign your better off sleeping in your car than spending a night here.

Economical hotel. Small rooms. Close to downtown and waterfront. Staff changes often. Only one of the front desk employees seems to remain from the last year and a half. Not a negative, small hotel jobs are often a stepping stone to other career and lifestyle goals. Meets my three personal main critera; clean, safe and quiet.

Yep! I found a freaking lizard in the bathroom! This hotel is a joke! The owner is so cheap! All the accessories were brought from the dollar tree! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Miami Dollar Tree Hotel! Lol!😂😂😂. Please don't book with this terrible dirty hotel!

We stayed four nights at this hotel on the top floor, one of the only hotels that allowed check-ins under 21 (a lot of hotels in Miami require the age of the person checking in to be 21+, which is EXTREMELY inconvenient when you’re 20…) so for that my travel partner and I were grateful to get this place to stay. This hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from Bayside Marketplace, 4 minutes from a McDonald’s, and overall a central location for food delivery apps (disregarding delivery times). Which, additionally having a smoothie shop downstairs just next door made it much easier. (On another note, that said restaurant makes excellent burritos and delicious smoothies) For a budget hotel at 2-stars the place is very clean, however very small. Puts the real meaning of budget into real life display for sure. It served its purpose and it did it very well. I was not disappointed by the staff, I felt at ease and didn’t feel unsafe. For the most part the traffic nearby wasn’t too loud but often got a bit noisy during rush hour, it lasts between 1pm-6pm weekdays usually. The occasional honking of impatient drivers is commonplace here, but easy to slightly get used to. Overall, I think this hotel has potential but for the time being I would say it is a solid 2.5 Star Hotel. Definitely worth the convenience and stay.

The rooms are very small, the beds are small, and very uncomfortable. There were stains on the bed, and when you go to wash your hands very little water comes out. The air conditioner doesn't work so I had to sit in my own sweat. You can hear the people next door watching TV. And many more complains.

A5 stars! I will never forget to speak to all of my colleagues and family about this amazing hotel. With their kind and excellent way of welcoming them, I am very pleased and fulfilled. They never disappoint me with my high hopes. The clean and refreshing environment was a great plus to their ranking for me. Cheers in the future for more clients.

Lower your expectations if you are intending to stay here. Even though this hotel is cheap for the surrounding area, it is still very overpriced for what it is. Rooms are small with a noisey air conditioning unit to cool them. The wifi didn't work in the entire time we were here. The hotel also had a policy that guests are charged $10 for every hour they want to check in early - clearly guests are just a inconvenience. I noticed rubbish on the floor of the lobby which stayed there the entire duration of our stay - says everything really.

As soon as we arrived outside the Miami Sun Hotel, I knew it was not going to be good. The reception area was an absolute mess and the room keys were actual keys and not cards like typical hotels. The pictures of the rooms are close up for a reason. They don't want you to see what the room looks like as a whole. The bed was barely a mattress, every channel on tv was fuzzy, and the main issue was the only air in the room was a small window unit. The hotel should be $50 a night and no where near $175-$200 a night. Absolute rip off. He ended up checking out early and went to another hotel. The receptionist didn't bother to ask why we were leaving and just said, "Ok." I'm guessing she has heard this before. Do not stay here!

Everything was so awesome here from day one until I checked out. The employees are exceptional and the room is comfortable. I couldn't ask these guys for more because I was very satisfied with the food, facilities, services and everything they offered. I'm sure I'll leave a good review of them.

The amenities at this hotel are the first. I didn't say anything wrong when I choose this motel. From the start until the day before, they honored my requests. Thank you that much to everyone! You will also not be dissatisfied if you employ their services. It is definitely advised that you enjoy the benefits of their amazing and relatively cheap service!

YUCK!!! This place looked okay when we first walked in. We booked one night because we wanted to be close to the cruise port. No on-site parking like it said on website. Had to pay a parking garage fee. He AC acted crazy and didn't really work throughout the night. It was super loud and looked like it would break any giving second. Then my worst nightmare ever....THEY GOT ROACHES. I went to clean the little fridge out that had our drinks and snacks we bought the day before and a roach fell on my hand....completely disgusted and will NEVER EVER stay there again.

Excellent hotel in the city! One of their most valuable resource being their workforce. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, with a spacious desk and a tidy, wide bathroom with plenty of counter space. The dining room is excellent, with a range of dinner themes. Overall, staying at this hotel is a pleasant experience.

The Miami Sun Hotel is such a cute little place! It is not fancy by any means, but for the price point, I would say it was definitely worth it! We booked online, but it somehow got cancelled through the 3rd party, and the lady at the desk, Elizabeth, was so sweet and upgraded our room for us. We had to turn the AC unit on when coming in, but it cooled down in no time. Everything smelled and looked clean. You cannot ask for too much when getting such a cheap room, but it met all my expectations for the price!

I used this place through the bounce app they held our bags until our hotel was ready. tbh I don't know what I would have done without it as I arrived in Miami at 8 am and our hotel wasn't available until 3. This allowed us to go to the beach go out to eat and kill time without carrying our baggage around.

Arrived at the hotel no free parking or valet. Had to park in the pay lot next to the hotel. the lobby appeared clean and very pretty. Check in was simple and efficient. Was haded a actual key on a key chain. Elevator super small as it is an old building. Our room was on the 4th floor there was no air conditioning in the elevator and it felt suffocating. Got off the elevator and Sri no air in the hallways and the smell of marijuana was overwhelming. Got to our room and it was the tiniest room I’d ever seen with a king bed shoved in it. Tiny in wall ac unit was not on so the room was hot (July in SE Florida) , when we turned the unit on I could barely hear myself talk. The shower was smaller than the elevator and the sink was randomly placed near the bed with a tiny mirror above it. (I wish I had taken a picture ) we decided we weren’t staying and sat there trying to find a new hotel and when we went down they said since we were there an hour it was non refundable. The desk girls personality was not one I’d put in a hospitality position. The pictures on their website are misleading.

Bed sheets had not been changed, there were crumbs in my bed. This is absolutely not acceptable. How would you like sleeping in dirty, unchanged sheets for an overpriced room?!!

Highlight of the hotel was the front desk concierge and near cleanliness of the room. Otherwise a studio room turned into a smaller hotel room with a bathroom that has no ventilation.

The rooms are small. After reading through the reviews the owner stated that it’s a prehistoric hotel, so the rooms are meant to be small. My biggest complaint is false advertisement. If this is a prehistoric hotel with extremely small rooms, market that. There are people that would love to stay here under these conditions. On the website it read that it was modern & minimalist, that got my attention. I was expecting the decor to be modern & minimalist, not the room. Once I seen they do not have card keys, but actual hard keys like an apartment building I wish I would’ve stopped the transaction. If you are looking for modern, do not stay here. This is a traditional motel with minimalist decor.

Horrible Customer Service !!!! My son made a reservation here for an event 3 weeks away. As soon as I saw all the negative reviews on this hotel I decided it was not a safe environment for him and his friend to stay in. When he tried to cancel a day after making the reservation, they told him he couldn't cancel within 30 days of his stay. I've never heard of this before but sure enough it was hidden in the terms and conditions you'd have had to click on to read. I called the "hotel" on a Thursday to speak with a manager. I was told by the worker, Eli, that Susan the manager would not be back till Monday. When I asked her how there can be no one in charge till Monday she had no answer. When I told her I would be blasting the hotel on social media she just hung up. Do not book with this hotel. Read the negative reviews ! They aren't exaggerating.

Pleasant staff and fairly clean. Older, smaller rooms at an expensive cost. Worked for us in a pinch.

Fantastic hotel! The swimming pool was big, the breakfast can't be better, you have everything that you wished, with a wondrous view of the pool and the amazing field. The hotel was super clean, and everyone was so generous with a natural smile. I will surely recommend this hotel to all of my friends.

THIS PLACE IS A TRAP. Don’t fall for the low price. The rooms are unacceptable and borderline unlivable. They will extort you out of your first nights stay after you check in and see what I’m talking about. It’s hard to describe the “accommodations” other that smelly and nasty with an unsanitary mattresses. Picture speaks for itself. Would give negative stars if I could.

Very clean hotel with friendly staff. Spacious room and excellent food at its health food store next door for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Priced well, within minutes' walk to the metro rail and to Bayfront Park and Bayside Mall + marina. This was my second stay here. 5 stars for sure🙂
