This is the absolute worst medical office I have ever dealt with in my entire adult life! It is a shame because Dr. Clark was very sweet and personable but dealing with the ladies working in their office is just not worth the hassle. I am a new patient who recently moved to the area from Chicago and have had 3 TERRIBLE experiences with this office's staff. When I had my first appointment at 9:30, I didn't actually see the doctor until after 11, which is fine. I understand getting backed up, but by the time we checked out I was starving and really needed to get back to work. I filled out the form to have my medical records transferred from my previous doctor in Chicago and explained that she had moved offices since I moved but provided the address and phone number. I was told by the lady checking me out that I would have to call to get the fax number because "they don't have time to call." So I went back and sat an addition 10 minutes to call and get the fax then wait in line again for another 20 minutes to turn the sheet back in. Not the best first impression but ok. Then days later my test results were posted to an online forum, but I did not understand the language of what I was looking at so I called the office to ask if someone was available to explain the results to me. I waited on hold 17 minutes and then they took a message and said someone would call me back. I waited about 4.5 hours and called back. I was on hold 26 minutes this time. The lady that answered the phone sighed and laughed under her breath when I told her I didn't understand the results. She said that someone would call me back. When I told them I had been waiting almost 5 hours, she said, " I understand that this is important TO YOU, but people can wait up to a week for a call back!" I brought to her attention that she had basically told me that my results were not important TO THEM, to which she started back pedaling and took another message. Someone called me later that night and said, "All your tests are fine" and basically let me go after all of 3 minutes. I was very irritated but Dr. Clark had gotten me in to see a specialist that I was having trouble getting into on my own, so I put it out of my head. Then the 3rd incident was when they scheduled my follow up. I was unable to make the appointment time because of work so rather than sit on hold I tried to reschedule online. The messaged me asking about another date and time, I wrote them back promptly saying no unfortunately that day would not work either and also inquired as to what the appointment was for and if was necessary since "all my my tests were fine." I never received a reply and they just scheduled the appointment anyway, so I canceled it online and waited for a reply to my message. I waited 5 business days with still no reply when I finally called. The same woman who was so rude to me last time answered and said the appointment was cancelled so they did not feel the need to respond. She is an extremely unpleasant, rude, and lazy person to be your point of contact! Although I did like Dr. Clark very much, I did not and will not be rescheduling for any doctor in that office!

I had a new patient appointment on my calendar for 8AM, booked a solid month and a 1/2 out. I get a call the day before my appointment saying it's at 8:30. OK. I can do 8:30 it'll make me late for work but I can do it. I show up at 8:30 and they tell me I was supposed to be there at 8. I tell them I got a call saying 8:30. They acknowledge that I received the call saying 8:30 but I should have "known" to disregard said call to be there at 8 to complete paperwork. They then refused to see me. I don't have time for that clown show. Just your basic multi doctor giant with zero common sense in the front desk and even less patient regard. In Southwest Florida, you can do better.

Absolutely disgraceful experience here. Nothing like being gaslighted by a doctor for 4 months because he had issues as an alcoholic in his past, only to be told he never requested my records or read any previous notes. Essentially refusing to discuss my symptoms with any of my other doctors because I'm too young to have these symptoms, despite my GI providing a diagnosis and testing showing my the majority of my stomach is paralyzed. Avoid at all cost, they will just gouge you for their "services" unless you have a top of the line PPO. American Healthcare is obviously a scam, but it shows most at places like this. EDIT: After being told the office manager would be reaching out I never received a call back. No update on the records they were supposed to request for me, but they were kind enough to send a letter stating they can no longer treat me because I'm unhappy with their service. What a joke. UPDATE 7/13: Lisa - the supervisor made me sign physical releases for all my medical records over a month ago (because they never got them months ago when they should have), and never sent them out or to her medical record department. This place is a dumpster fire. Highly recommend if you experience anything similar to report them to the Florida Department of Health, as I will be doing. Cannot make this stuff up.

I had an appt at 1:45pm on Thursday that I made in August and I was a new patient so I arrived 30 minutes early just like they asked. I waited around until 2:30 and realized every single person in the waiting room was called before me, even those who just walked in. I went up to the desk and was told Dr. Clark was running very behind. I sat back down and waited some more. 3:00 came around and I went back up and was told she was running behind still. I asked to reschedule and was told she doesnā€™t have any openings til May. I also let them know I would rather see the PA or NP to get in faster and that I was told over the phone I had to establish with the doctor first which is why I waited this long to get in. I decided to stick it out and wait some more. I heard the front desk women talking about me and they kept telling me I would be called shortly. I finally got back there at 3:10pm, when my appt was for 1:45. The intake person was very apologetic and let me know that I was taken off the schedule during that whole time I was waiting and they didnā€™t know I was there!!! I finally saw the Dr. and was not impressed either. I have common ear issues and usually need the wax drained with a lavage. She told me I had to make a separate nurse appointment for that and to come back in a week. I have had that done same day at every single other one of my visits with my previous doctor. Additionally, my next follow up visit wonā€™t be for another 3 months. I will not be returning. The other reviews make a lot of sense now reading them!!

Never setting foot in this place again. Poor communication, poor bill tracking , strictly for profit. Here youā€™re just a time slot and a payment. Long story short at one point I took a $200 blood test for no reason, and they refused me refills of medication because they didnā€™t want to do telehealth. This AFTER my doctor left the practice and no one called and told me. Moved back into the area and called to have an injection of medicstion. Upon showing up they told me I have a balance and they put a $100 hold on my card. I go back into the room for the injection and the nurse declined to perform it because I havenā€™t been seen by their doctor in so long. 1) should have checked with the nurse before agreeing to perform the injection. The nurse didnā€™t even come in to talk to me face to face. Just said no and hid at her desk. 2) didnā€™t offer any solutions. 3) didnā€™t ask me if I had access to any blood or hormone tests , which I did. 4) didnā€™t even offer to schedule an appointment TO SEE a doctor in order for me to get the help I need. 5) no weā€™re sorry or anythingā€¦ā€just nope we canā€™t do it. Give us our money and leaveā€ type of attitude. Thatā€™s what bothers me the most. ā€œHey we canā€™t do your shot today. Letā€™s get you scheduled to see a doctor and then we can go from thereā€. From a business standpoint itā€™s awful. They just lost a client. But they probably donā€™t care. Clearly Iā€™m not important enough for anyone to offer a solution, or spend even more than a minute speaking with me.

I unfortunately am making this review due to the lack of communication and consideration being provided by both the associates and or doctor/assistant of Physicians Primary care of SWFL. For over the past two and a half to three months, Iā€™ve requested that the medical records and most recent medical reviews of my 99 yr old incapacitated mother be sent to her long care term provider. I was told that Share Care was in charge of getting this information to the long term care provider. This never happened and better yet the information that was received was from a completely different patient. Frustrated at the lack of consideration, poor communication from the front desk to the doctors and overall ā€œwell get to it when we have timeā€ approach, I feel it is necessary to let the general public know what they may be getting themselves into. Be prepared, and if your condition requires immediate response , I strongly suggest finding another physician. This week alone, I called on Monday and requested Dr. Van Winkle or her assistant contact on an urgent matter. Well today is Friday, and after 3 call throughout the week, it is now 8:21pm and I am still waiting for a call. Wether this makes a difference or not this business needs to be ashamed of themselves for the unprofessional manner in which they treat and communicate with their patients.
