We love this delicious gastro pub on Giralda! Must haves: burger, hush puppies, disco fries, torn kale, mac and cheese, and pretty much everything! Great beer selection and full bar. We brought a friend today to try the burger, but sadly the ran out just before we ordered... but our waitress and chef Juan swooped in to the rescue! We received special treatment and amazing off the menu items to help us recover from the burger tragedy. Everything was above and beyond and Juan's secret sandwich is the real deal! Dessert was funky and fresh too! One of our Go-to spots

Excellent food and service. Their burger was moist and delicious. I upgraded to the "disco fries" which were cheesy and great. Their bone marrow dish used to be awesome (note below). It's served in a split bone and you can spread it over the locally baked buttery bread. The fried chicken and biscuit "sliders" were very good. Their twist on shrimp and grits, using creamy rice grits, was great. The rice grits was similar to a risotto. Their key lime pie was also excellent. Good craft beer selection, including local beers. Note: went Feb 2018 and they no longer had the bone marrow.

Excellent food! Great atmosphere. Loved having unlimited mimosas here. Their support of local farming is awesome.

Great chill little spot With good food and speciality drinks it is a nice experience . In the heart of coral Gables they pride themselves on Southern Fare with 16 Rotating Taps Craft Food. Craft Drinks. Craft Beer. I had their truffle fries and chicken bites while here for a work event and they were both delicious . I will definitely be going back to try some more of their delicious food.

Wow is all I can say. I almost don't want to share how great this place is for fear it will get even busier! Brisket burger, fried chicken oysters with blue cheese and hot sauce marmalade, some disco fries on the side. Best meal I have had in Miami in quite some time. Going back next week to hit up the gruyere cheese omelet and Fried chicken and cheddar pancakes. Stay tuned...

I was in town for business and wanted a good place for lunch. I just happened upon this place and I'm glad I did. It's a fairly small place but I sat at the bar and looked at the menu. The menu apparently changes regularly but they apparently always have the burger on the menu. This was perhaps the best burger I've ever had. Seasoned really well and extremely tasty. I told them it was the best I've had and I meant it. I loved the fries as well. They were nice thick cut fries that tasted great. I definitely recommend stopping in for the burger.

Very friendly staff and homey feel. Food was really yummy. We sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing. I don't like Bloody Mary's, but she gave us a sample of her homemade recipe and let me just say you have to give hers a try...spectacularly spicey! Will be back.

Man what a bad experience, I ordered tostones and they took 30 minutes to reach our table. The actual food took 1 hrs. The place was dead. My whiskey on the rocks took 20 minutes. When I took my son to the bathroom and our waitress was chatting with some friends plus those same friends asked the busboy if he was going to meet with them later at a friends house while giving him a small pocket size cylinder which looked funny. Plus the smell of weed coming from the kitchen. Won't be back. Sad cause this place use to be good. A shame, plus no manager. Don't bother wasting your money. I just did

I wanted to like this place, but I hated the whole experience. I ordered the cornbread as an appetizer, and they brought me out two burnt pieces. I would be ashamed to serve those to non-paying guests... Let alone paying customers! Then I was given what was supposed to be a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I am not sure where that sauce came from but it wasn't Nashville (nor was it Flavortown. It wasnt good at all). This sandwich was slathered and dripping in a brown sauce with spice but that's about it. It was so dripping it required a fork and knife to eat without wearing it, which just isn't right. Our waiter wore a mask, but not properly (it basically covered his bottom lip). All in all, 1 star is generous. Spend your money (and time) elsewhere.

I had the French Melt and my guest had the Broccolini Mac and Cheese. Our food was served quickly, server was friendly, and everything came out delicious. Good craft beer and cocktail options. Nice neighborhood, no wait for Sunday brunch around 12:30. Will go back again. Not inexpensive, but you get what ypu you pay for. *** Updated for 1/10/21 *** Visited The Local again for the first time post-covid. Service was abysmal. There was one server for a packed outdoor area. He was clearly overwhelmed. My guest noticed he was also arguing over whomever was working inside the restaurant for giving him the wrong ticket. I ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich. The sandwich was okay, but my fries were overcooked and room temperature upon arrival. This is a terrible system. My guest's fries arrived later, but were also overcooked and room temperature. Her burger was fine. Aside from slow service and growing pains, things were just barely satisfactory. Couple years ago I had a great birthday dinner here. Sad to say it's gone downhill.
