Quaint place with plenty of free parking spots available just in from of the restaurant. We went on a Saturday at 5:00 pm and waited for about 20 minutes to get a table. This is an exquisite Japanese cuisine with a great ambiance and delicious food. We only tried the seafood salad, the X-roll, the gyozas ( really yummy ), Rock and roll, and the Alaska roll. Everything was fresh and tasty. The best is the service, Jessy took care of us and she was so knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations for the menu!! Thank you so so much! We had a great time. Hoping we can go again shortly!

I am not a fan. If you are in the mood for inexpensive Japanese food, this is your go to place. The problem is that the staff gets overwhelmed with patrons and service goes downhill. We arrived right at 11.30 opening time in Friday. No warm greetings. We picked a both and were served the beverages of our choice. It took the wait staff a good 10 minutes to come get our order. The waitress seemed rushed and not very eager to answer queries. All four of us ordered lunch boxes. No substitution allowed. Ok. We all got our soups promptly and my wife received her salad at the same time. Shortly thereafter she received her Salmon fish entree. The remaining 3 of us waited a good 15 minutes before our lunch selections appeared. No refills were offered on either the ice teas or hot green teas. Took several tries to get a green tea refill and the jug of hot green tea ran out as the waitress was pouring it. She never returned. Another male staff finally took our credit card and checked us out. At no point was the service rude or impolite, I felt that they had way more patrons than they could comfortably handle and the dining experience suffered as a result. I may give them another try in the future...perhaps.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Matsuri and it was an incredible experience. Despite the fact that the restaurant was packed, there was plenty of parking available in the lot adjacent to the building. The standout feature of my meal was the incredibly fresh fish and seafood. Everything was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the sushi, which was some of the best I've had in a long time. However, what really made the experience memorable was the outstanding service provided by Jessy. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the meal, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed. Overall, Matsuri is a must-visit for anyone who loves sushi and Japanese cuisine. With plenty of parking available and excellent service from Jessy, it's the perfect spot for a special occasion or a night out with friends.

The best lunch deal in the area hands down!!!! Always fresh quality fish and have never had a bad experience with staff or quality. If you live/work near bird road & Ludlam , you need to treat yourself to this amazing deal!!!

One of the best sushi experiences you will have in Miami. Great selection of fish, good service, just a little slow on attention to walk ins.

Hands down, the BEST sushi I have ever had. I work for a Japanese-owned company and our Japanese employees said it tasted authentic and was the best sushi they've had in the States. Everything was melt-in-your-mouth fresh. The service is quick because they want to fill the seats as quickly as possible - there's always a wait. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if possible. We were on a business trip and went to the restaurant twice while in town - once with a party of 9 and once with a party of 4. We were shocked at how reasonable the prices were! I'm going to be dreaming about this sushi.

Had a nice sushi experience here. Not the best, but not the worst.

Favorite authentic Japanese spot in Miami. It’s low key and fresh. The staff is ultra friendly, the quality is always on point. Perfect for a quick bite, takeout or even a nice Friday night. Definitely splurge on the go-to-rem for the best quality fish.

Stopped by for lunch and even when crowded the service was good and quick. We tried the Tomo Tomo special for 2 and I ate so well. It was satisfying. The fish is sushi grade and fresh. It melts in your mouth. The best Japanese place around that 20 mile radius

Great sushi at decent prices. If they’d invest in a better atmosphere this place would be incredible.

I’ve been to Japan a few times, and Matsuri is the most authentic Japanese food I’ve had in Miami. The menu is HUGE all your favorite Japanese foods are on there, from sushi, to ramen, to yakitori, to vegetable tempura, Kara-age. The food is incredibly delicious, the beer ice cold, the food gets to your table very quick. My only complaints would be that the tables are too close together, this is a VERY popular restaurant in a VERY small space. If the space got bigger this would be a world class restaurant.

Without doubt, one of the best places in Miami to have a great japanese meal. Fav: tamago sushi, soba in hot broth, rock n’ roll sushi, katsu, tempura vegetables, sashimi Note: it can get real busy, so be patient with the staff, and don’t be picky with the seating

This is without any doubt, one of the BEST sushi in Miami!! Their food is so good that people wait 30-40 minutes to dine-in during rush hour. Not only their sushi is great but also their staff and service is really good! Worth the wait, Highly recommended!

The best sushi/sashimi and Japanese restaurant in Miami. I ordered Kanisu as an appetizer, Moriawase including Miso soup or salad for the main course (see image attached), and Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert accompany with Hot Green Tea. Five stars for both the food quality and service experience.

The best sushi in Miami, service could be better but honestly they are always packed and this is one of the reason waiters can’t take enough time with each table. That being said, it’s the freshest fish that you will find in the city and price is fair.

Calling all sushi snobs! I’m a NYer who moved down to Miami and was devastated by the sushi situation here (compared to Manhattan). Nothing authentic and fresh (without tempura and cream cheese), unless you spend a lot of money on a high end omakase restaurant. Matsuri has solved this problem!! Finally found an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. Even though it’s not close to where we are in Brickell it’s worth the Uber ride. It’s like what you’d get in Japan. If that’s what you’re after, Matsuri is a must!! (Annoying they don’t take reservations though)

Very delicious! Amazing fish. It was VERY crowded even when they just opened so I would recommend reservations for dinner and getting there right when it opens for lunch. I took off a star because the menu was hard to read and the waitress clearly seemed annoyed with questions about the menu items. It was busy so definitely understandable, but a bit frustrating.

Interiors were great, service was INSANELY fast despite it being very busy, restaurant was super clean, but the food was okay? The udon was probably one of the worst i've ever eaten, while the Tomo Tomo Special for 2 (the sushi platter) was ordinary, no frills, and was very filling. The miso soup was good but didn't have dried wakame seaweed.

I’ve heard about this place for a while, different people told me that it worth to go there even in traffic🤣 and now I can say the same)) The place is very nice. We didn’t make a reservation so we had to wait 40min. So it’s better to make reservations. Excellent service👌 food was amazing! I will definitely return for their miso soup and scallops sushi🤤 rolls we very tasty. Huge free parking lot in front of the restaurant. And the best part is the price. 2 rolls, 2 soups, tea(my favorite part was hot tea refill), 5 pieces of sushi and shrimp dumplings = $60 I will definitely come back!

Definitely recommend reservations to this place. Once seated we were served right away, not rushed but efficiently took our order and got our food quickly. Sushi and donburi were excellent! Miso soup was not watered down but flavorful. Once you try here you'll know why there is such a long line to get in!

Their rolls all sound and look the same. They use the same ingredients but they just switch the order their in to make it seem like different rolls. They were super small and honestly not that great. Their sashimi was great though! That was super fresh 🤤🤤🤤

We came for a quick weekday lunch and were surprised by both the line to get in and the good price-quality ratio (that might explain the line). Matsuri is a great option for japanese food and offers lunch specials (like teishokus) between Monday and Friday. We did like the sashimi, tempura and SM roll. We'll come back for the sushi for 2 and the tempura ice cream we couldnt order.

I got a California roll it was a 10/10 but the service was a little slow like it was 20 minutes to get a entree and the edamame was cold but through out that it was a great reviews.

Unbeatable price for the quality they offer. Broad range of dishes, all very well executed. Plus, they have a 12$ lunch special which is the best value for money.

Great, affordable neighborhood sushi restaurant. They have a decent selection of items to choose from, fish was fresh and service was friendly. They do get very, very full so arrive early or make reservations. It’s a small restaurant and they get packed so unless you’re seated in a booth, you will be mere inches from the table next to you which can be very uncomfortable, especially during a pandemic.
