I don’t write reviews very often, but this place warrants one. I asked the counter what sandwich they recommended and they said the Cuban and the Madurito sandwich. I had the Madurito and it was life changing. Amazingly fresh bread, and just the perfect sweet and salty combination from the pork and plantains. This is a top 5 sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. As a Cuban American I have had a lot of good sandwiches. I am still dreaming about this sandwich. If you have the chance to try this place, do it!!

It will be nice to remove the tip when you pay with credit card specially the 18% and above when you are not getting any service at the table.

Worst customer service ever. If you are in the mood to receive a disrespectful service while asking for a coffee this is your place. Is like they don’t want you to visit. Of course my everyday coffee will be somewhere else.

Please do not waste your time or give your business to these people. The customer service is repulsive! So sad. Especially during times like these, when restaurants are struggling to stay open, you make your paying customers feel unwelcome?? Never going back. I’d rather give my business to people who care about their customers.

Idk if I just went on a bad day, but the only good thing about this place is the sandwiches. The El Guajiro was delicious! However, the coffee was HORRIBLE!!! I even had to send it back (which I hate doing!) because it tasted burnt and was un-drinkable. We ordered the Cafe con Leche and the Dirty Chai and they were both completely disgusting. Even when I sent it back and got a Cortadito, that also tastes burnt! (And then they charged me for the drink I sent back… rude). The spinach croqueta was good!! But the Ham croqueta was so bad I couldn’t even finish it. One of the worst I’ve ever had. I don’t think I will be able to come back to his place… the cons strongly outweigh the taste of the sandwich.

I had an extremely bad experience with the staff and manager at this place. I had been a regular Customer there because I work nearby and would always get my breakfast there during my breaks . I had an unpleasant interaction with the manager when I complained about one of his rude staff members who had an attitude with me when I tried telling her I was unhappy with the service I received on my mobile order. The manager was unprofessional and defensive, and instead of trying to be understanding about my experience he yelled at me and said “ NOBODY CARES IF YOU EVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!” The fact that they don’t value every single customer (unreasonable or not and especially at a time like we are in now) goes to show what kind of people they are and their lack of values. Don’t waste your time. That is not how you treat a loyal customer. I posted a complaint on my story and tagged them and below is their response to me , further proving how classless and rude they are to their customers. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!

Trust us, the best coffee in the greater Miami area AND as importantly, the best service. My wife and I had just arrived in Miami on our honeymoon (with our 8 month old daughter) and as typical, we searched our local coffee shops with great reviews. This was our first stop. Without question, they deserve more than 5 stars. Super friendly staff, humble, a family owned business feeling, and, the products were delicious. I remember my wife sharing to the server that we liked to try different coffee shops and the server (very humbly I might note) said that we'd have a hard time finally better tasting coffee than at their venue. My guess is that their customers had already told them this before. However, she was super nice and we had every intention of returning. As our trips usually go, we tried a bunch of other coffee venues, some good, some bad, but without question, this venue was indeed the very best - and we tried a lot. If you want to be assured of receiving great customer service, feeling appreciated as a customer, and getting the very best coffee the heater Miami area has to offer, then this IS your place. They are simply the best. Thank you for all that you do!!

(Translated by Google) It is a pity that a place like this where the food is good treat the customers so badly they have the worst customer service I have ever seen leaving the place wanting to vomit the food no matter how good it is of the lousy thing that make you feel the supposed owner of this place that is a vulgar sapingo and without any class throws the food to the customers who serves the table as if they were dogs with the people who are treating her and then mutters behind the backs of the customers very sarcastically It is the kind of people that I think would be able to spit in your food if I could not recommend them at all. It can ruin anyone's day because of the bad time. All those good reviews they have are pure screen manufactured who knows how but they are pure lie except the food that is good (Original) Es una pena que un lugar como este donde la comida es buena traten tan mal a los clientes tienen el peor customer service que haya visto jamas sales del lugar con ganas de vomitar la comida por muy buena que esté de lo pésimo que te hacen sentír el supuesto dueño de este lugar que es un sapingo vulgar y sin ninguna clase le tira la comida a los clientes que sirve a la mesa como si se tratara de perros con las personas que está la tratando y luego murmura a las espaldas de los clientes muy sarcásticamente es del tipo de personas que creo seria capaz hasta de escupir en tu comida si pudiera no se los recomiendo para nada les puede arruinar el día a cualquiera por el mal rato todos esos buenos reviews que tienen son pura pantalla fabricados quién sabe cómo pero son pura mentira excepto la comida que si es buena

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MIAMI. There are a million other Cuban restaurants that sell sandwiches in Coral Gables. Pay less and go somewhere where you’re valued as a customer and treated with respect. Not this place!

Great vibe until the waitress stated that they didn't allow laptops inside when just sending a quick email. They state that they don’t allow laptops or tablets to promote free conversations, yet they oppress paying customers for using their personal electronic devices such as tablets or laptops.

Double WOW! OK let’s start off by saying this place was out of the blue, wasn’t even on my radar. Just looking for a place to brunch in Coral Gables that was simple dining on a Sunday. So I came up to the place and it didn’t look like much, & the name of the restaurant is not even on the front?. They have their own small parking. And I’m like all right let’s give it a go - didn’t read any reviews. Nothing … straight up just walked right in. Tricky at first because the door to the entrance is on the right hand side after their walk up window … Lucky enough I waited like five minutes to get a seat at the bar. Yes the place was full of customers. Great ambience. The place is cozy - so don’t come with your entire family, thinking that they can seat you. The biggest table is only seats 6. The vibe inside is super chill. The staff is super chill and really nice. I ordered a café con Leche, and a sandwich that caught my attention called Game 7, first bite was like the heavens opened up and said you are welcome. Immediately told “El Chef Supreme sandwich, creator,” that’s what I call the dude. that it was darn good! He said thank you and both chefs were happy that I spoke to them. And El Chef Supreme was wearing a cool t-shirt that he said the owner took the photograph. See my photos. So delicious I took a sandwich to go that El chef supreme recommended. This Coffee/Sandwich House has everything going right, the vibe inside, the welcoming staff, and the flavor of the food is Unbelievable. I’ll definitely be back to try more of Tinta y cafe has to offer.

Very unassuming place with excellent food! We tried the madurito with pork, plantains & Cuban so bread. Very well done. The coffee is exceptional for any coffee snob. Milk well cared for and the beans have deep flavor. The price point is more than fair and I Would absolutely recommend!

El Bori y Café con Leche Tinta’s welcomes you home like an oasis spring off the well worn mile. Its a perfect place for lunch, meet, coffee, brunch. Café window service for a quick pickup of skillfully imagined Cuban style coffee beverages such as the “Pecado”. I’ve never had better: Prosciutto and egg pressed sandwich (El Bori) Home made flan Guava/cheese pastry

I came for a bite to eat and to do some laptop work and I was delightfully surprised by the "no technology" zone they had going and I took a break from working and enjoyed my Callejero and passionfruit mimosa. It was excellent. The Callejero so far is the best sandwich I've ever had in Miami. I finished it all off with the perfect Cappuccino. Can't wait to go back!

The best croquetas ever! And hands down the best coffee. Their iced cafe con leche is delicious. The aesthetic inside is great but get ready for limited seating. Their ventanita can get backed up so go with a few extra minutes to spare. Staff has always been welcoming.

Great little spot on Ponce de Leon. A cozy enclave in a very commercial part of Coral Gables. Got there at 8 am (opening time) and they were in full gear ready to go. Plenty of dedicated parking right outside. Service very much with a smile. U get the sense that the staff enjoy working here. Most of them are humming along to the Latino music on the sound system. I had the iced Dirty Chai Latte. It was good (not the best I’ve had but I loved that it was overflowing with ice. In other places, two sips and the drink is finished). Next time will try their Cortadito. I appreciated that the straw that came with my drink was made from recycled material. Their coffee machine is near a take-out window to the outside. So U can order a fast drink n snack if in a rush. The spinach croquettes was very tasty - but small (ok given that it was priced for small). The egg tostada is made to order with several options to choose from - including wheat bread and egg whites only. They kept the menu simple, the layout of the place is well thought through. And their staff offer best service I’ve had in Miami… in a very casual setting. Also really liked that their A/C keeps things cool without making you feel like you stepped into a deep freezer. And the place is super clean. U don’t smell the fryer even though it’s an open concept kitchen. I would give them a 6th star if was an option.

Hello, I’m writing this review because I’m a regular customer, and I think each business should respect the hours shown on their platforms. I have arrived many times at 4:40 pm, and they haven’t attended me, even for a coffee. They just said “we are closed”, but they should close at 5 pm. I hope this message can reach the right person in the business to solve this issue. Thank you, and have a great day. Best regards.

Small cafe/restaurant in the outskirts of Coral Gables. Loved the colada, was a great morning pick me up. Overall ambience and waiting was great and accommodating as well! Absolutely delicious. The quality of the food is great. My recommendation the fresh squeezed OJ. Sandwiches are to die for . One of my best joyful breakfast in a long time. Come prepared to wait a bit to be seated, as many great small places, seating is limited. But it will worth waiting for.

Such a great place I went twice in a week! First time was with a friend and we all ordered cod croquettas and a sandwich each. The second time was a sandwich to share , sparkling water, Nutella croissant and coffee. Croissant was toasted when we ordered and cut in half with Nutella spread. Delicious! Photos are from both visits.

We loved Tinta Y Cafe! (aka Ink & Coffee) This is a Michelin Bib Gourmand so it’s going to be great. I had the Cuban Sandwich with croqueta, ham, mortadella, Swiss, pork, and pickles. The pork was cooked to perfection and the juice ran out of the sandwich with each bite. It’s such a perfect place to go off Miracle Mile. The Cuban pastries are excellent too.

This upscale version of a Cuban cafeteria has a staff that treats you like family and delicious twists on your favorite staples. You won’t get any side eye from the ventanita like at a typical Cuban spot

Whenever I’m in Miami (which is about once a year) I always get a hankering for something authentically Cuban…usually a coffee. Tinta Y Cafe is an unassuming friendly little place (with free parking) across the street from a building my family lives in, that I’d been wanting to try for a while, but my trip has always coincided with Holidays and Mondays (when they’re closed)…until this time when I was honestly thrilled to finally be able to walk in and get all the Cuban goodness coming to me. It’s an intimate little inside space with art books on shelves (plus art). We sat at communal table with a chef from another restaurant who happened to be there…so when that’s your clientele…it’s a good sign you’ve come to the right place. I had Cafe con Leche which looked and tasted gorgeous and was served in a proper mug. (Satisfying to drink from a real mug when dining in…you can also get anything to go.) It’s a sandwich shop with all kinds of cuban pastries as well. I had a baguette with manchego cheese and egg whites. This was a very well done, thin baguette that was perfectly crispy and tasted awesome. My wife had eggs over easy with peppers and tomatoes on top. This is normally served with bread (hey it’s a sandwich shop) but they were nice enough to serve it with arugula and tomato salad instead for my gluten free eating significant other. We also tried the spinach croquetas with cheese (very tasty and shaped like a big suppository…) but otherwise a small stuffed pastry which was mostly filling with a gentle crust. Delicious. Our waiter (Andy) was the friendliest guy in town and seemed to genuinely want to share his happiness with us through his service. Thanks Andy! You cab order / be served at a table, sit at the bar, or order at the outside window counter to go. We went to the airport after eating here and flew home to the west coast with a couple guava cheese pastries in tow. We love trying new restaurants when we travel, but Tinta Y Cafe is going to be on our permanent “must go back to” whenever we’re back in Miami.

Been coming here for years but today will be last time. Terrible customer service. If you can’t deal with people then maybe you’re in the wrong business. Courtesy and basic education goes along way. I guess even though we are in a pandemic, you don’t need business. Plenty of other coffee shops around.

I went here asking for a bottle of pastino. They said, they had never heard of pastino. I then asked to speak to a manager, so I could ask him about his favorite scene in Tobe Hooper’s Lifeforce, he said, “I’ve never seen Lifeforce.” At this point, I knocked over the toothpicks and farted. I was both ashamed, humiliated, and scared. I yelled in Finnish and left. That day was a Wednesday.

Chic and eclectic cuban watering hole in Coral Gables where the cafe con leche and tostada easily beats Versailles, La Carreta, and Segio's. Wait, and the croquetas are out of this world - amazingly gourmet! They are even better than Sanguich's, unbelievable. Every morning this is now my cafe and tostada newly found heaven. Super recomended.

Fantastic little cafe oasis in the heart of Coral Gables. The main dining area was not open but window service and outside self sitting was available. Attendant at the window was pleasant and helped navigate the menu and available substitutions for the drinks and food orders. Ordered a Iced Tea that was delicious for this hot day and the sandwiches were flavorful, warm and fresh. Got a bad of plantain chips too. Ties everything together. Unique spot worth checking out.
