Old Lisbon is always a great choice. Excellent restaurant with a very nice menu and a great wine list. Paellas are plentiful and full of flavor. The grilled octopus is garlicky and cooked perfectly all the time. Service is outstanding and friendly. You will not feel rushed here. Thumbs up

A classy little place with full service. The waiters pull out the chair for you and pack all your leftovers. Wish more places were like here. Good food and good ambience.

Summary: some of the food was delicious, some had no flavor, the service was not great, to the point they were even kind of rude. Miami Spice 2020: We went for lunch on a Saturday and was told once we were seated that the Miami Spice lunch menu was only available from 12-2pm. Since we arrived at 2:30, we were told we needed to order off the dinner menu (dinner at 2:30?). I understand there are rules, but the way they handled this was not appropriate for the service industry. When that was done, I mentioned a bacalhau dish on the spice lunch menu and rather than address my inquiry, our server told me there was no bacalhau item on the menu and then said she was going to check because she was pretty sure about this (I was right). Either way, it was a moot point because the menu was not even available. It was just a strange, uncomfortable interaction to kick off our experience. Onto the food... we ordered the croquettes and the calamari to start. The calamari weirdly had no flavor, even after trying to compensate by squeezing a ton of lemon over it. We had a couple bites and left the majority of the dish (and I'm not one to leave food). The croquettes also didnt have much flavor. All I could really taste was the saltiness of the cod. When the entree's came, things finally began to pick up. Both the octopus rice and the seafood stew were delicious. The flavors were similar enough where it was great to share but different enough that you were able to enjoy 2 different dishes. Highly recommend both these options. The desserts were also a great experience- hence the 3 star rating.

The Good: The restaurant's management and staff appear to be nice people. I've passed by the restaurant prior to last night's visit while patronizing other shops on Sunset and management and staff go out of their way to greet you as you pass by. The patrons here are mostly people local to the neighborhood and they're definitely a mature audience. There was a group of beautifully dressed wonderful older women that sat across from us that was so endearing to see! These nice factors drove this ranking UP to 3 stars. The Not so Good: Unfortunately the food falls in this category. There are no spices, there's just a meager amount of salt but that's it. No seasoning, no slices, no signature sauces, nothing to make the food stand out. It was average in every way. The paella was served very wet. Again, no distinct flavors just horribly wet as if it should have cooked longer before arriving to the table. The codfish croquettes actually sit on top of a black eyed peas salad as the peas are cold, the fritters that sit on top however are warm. It is just okay. No stand out here either. The Camaron (shrimp) Crema is a literally translation: shrimp in crema with a small amount of rice and small cubed potatoes to the side. I noticed the women across from us had an appetitizer paired with the exact same crema sauce, it wasn't revolutionary. The food was a no for me. This was no culinary delight even though I had very high hopes for it to be. Because it failed to meet my expectations, we passed on the dessert menu which I typically love to explore when trying new restaurants. The bread was served warm which turned out to be the best part of our meal overall unfortunately. Please see our bill pictured here. I asked for more bread (they originally served us about 3 pieces), I had to ask twice, the bread took forever to arrive at the table. Only at the end of meal did our server present us with the bill where he slid in a nearly $4 CHARGE FOR 2 TINY PIECES OF BREAD! That was not a classy thing to do. I won't be returning nor can I recommend this restaurant but I think they will be fine with their current group of local customers.

First time at this location, food was spectacular, had a lamb shank, shrimp ajillo, and cod croquetas! Everything perfectly made! Great choice to celebrate my sister’s 37th anniversary!!!

A bit of a mixed feeling here. I had an absolutely great lamb dish and others in my party that got seafood found it to be a bit lacking. Excellent lemonade too. Generous portion sizes. I'll probably go there again if in the area.

Amazing! Beyond our expectations, we ordered Paella, Octopus with olive, Cod fish salad and egg yolk tarts. All of them were unbelievably delicious, creamy and rich tastes. My favorite was the paella and the octopus, adding to my go-to and must-try list.

Spectacular! Quality of the food and service were great! Coming back for more next week! We had tapas to share, a dessert and a little white wine. Definitely coming back to try the dinner menu.

Paelha Marinheira was delicious, paired great with Pinot Noir, staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in the menu. Daily specials also sound fanatic. Will return to try another dish.

Every time I go to Old Lisbon, I walk out extremely content and satisfied. The quality of the food is top notch and everything tastes sensational. The best part of my experience was the service. Rodrigo and Jaime treat all the guests like they are family and they truly make sure guests enjoy their experience to the fullest. My experience with Rodrigo makes me want to eat here every day of the week, more restaurants in Miami need people like him. I truly tip my cap to him, bravo!

WHAT AN AMAZING FIND!!! Being born in Brazil, I’m so used to and love Portuguese food, we were looking for a different option other than Cuban food in Miami hehehe and we came across Old Lisbon. EXCELLENT food and service! Tainá was super helpful and attentive helping us choose the right wine and went through the whole menu with us. For entree we ordered sardines and alheira; for mains: bacalhau com nata e bacalhau à Brás and we were amazed by the quality and flavor of them!!! Delicious! For dessert, we had a limoncello special and an eggs dessert that I can’t recall the name but it was fantastic!! Wines were super and we are looking forward to coming back and try some other dishes on the menu. Highly recommend!!! Not only food was to die for but service and environment were great as well

We went and tried the octopus as recommended by the Google reviews. As expected, it was incredible. Well cooked with garlic. Paired well with bread as an appetizer. I also had the steak which was a bit undercooked but still good once they fixed it.

To me, still one of the best Restaurants in Miami. You have to go. If you really like real good food, you must go. Just as simple as that.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! I have dinned in and ordered as well. This is one of the best foods I've had. I have tried different plates, and they are all great.

Outstanding! Great experience and awesome food. The dishes are traditional Portuguese with a short menu although enough options. Huge variety of wines to choose from. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, attentive and helpful. Ricardo was our server for the night and he was extremely helpful with information regarding the dishes, wines and the menu in general. Reservations will be required if you want a spot during the weekend! However is totally worth it. The octopus dish is a must for seafood lovers! Definitely will visit again!

Excellent food. A bit crowded in the back room. Front dining room is a lot nicer, better have reservations to get a table in the front. Be careful the floors are very slippery. Parking is very small, dark and crowded and you have to pay for it.

One of the best restaurants in Miami especially the South Miami location. Rodrigo and the staff are 5 stars, they make you feel at home and make your experience one to remember. They are all super attentive and polite. The food is amazing, from the appetizers to the main dish and especially the desserts. Definitely will return and highly recommend it to everyone.

Most of these reviews are probably older. This restaurant use to be amazing. Recently it's missed the mark. We all ordered cod dishes and they tasted...watered down if that makes sense. I don't know if they changed chefs or ownership but the food is pretty subpar and definitely not worth the higher price. The deserts are still decent. I would come here to eat some desert and have a cup of coffee but not for a meal. I would give it three stars for the food, 2 stars for the waiter. I don't know if they are asked to this by management, but I was continuously pushed to order wine after I said I didn't want any. This is concerning, as someone who has family members who are recovering alcoholics I would never take them to this restaurant. Once a costumer says no. Drop it.

Very good. Very good. Luxurious. Good service. Real genuine Portuguese food. Do not recommend the "paella marinera" . Not big deal. If you want paella go to a spanish place. HOWEVER the Portuguese food is... well astonishing. I have portuguese family and have been eating portuguese food for years and this is the real stuff. Anything with Bacallao (COD) its just delicious. Anything. Ask for dessert the "pastel de nata" or custard pastry. This is probably one of the most delicated deserts have tried the last years. My reviews have more than 200K views. So you can trust my comments. Please leave a like . Thks .
