The ingredients seems to be fresh but the taste was just OK. They serve sushi with a pea size worth of wasabi, which also does not taste well. Miso soup was mediocre and they were out of the wonton soup which I was gluing to order. Actually only thing that tasted just right was the marinated ginger. Also, apparently, cutting sushi in even pieces was also too much of a challenge… It’s OK for a last resort, but I would not came again would I have a choice.

Worst service I have ever recived, if I could select zero stars I would. I used to come several times to this place but today was the last time I put my feet in this restaurant. I wait for almost 50 minutes in the store to pick up my food and that wasn't the main problem I could have wait 10 more minutes. The problem was that it was on purpose, one of the guys at the kitchen listen that i was asking for the time lasting to get my food and he said to other guy not to finish my order to make me wait on purpose. I told that to the manager and then I got my food inmediatly. This restaurant should be more careful with the kind of people they hire to attend their customers. At first glance I was thinking it will be a great night, the place seem clean. Once we order the food we waited longer than usual, customer service was horrible. They brought us the food and not the drinks. They didn’t mention to us anything about getting our drinks, the hot tea we order they forgot to bring. The waiters were on the phone talking all time, they seem not to care for the customers. Also on their menu they advertise two sizes of drinks at two different prices when they actually give you a small disposable cup. I was very disappointed of this restaurant, also the floors were very sticky, seem like they had clean the floors. I was afraid to fall walking to get my drink. Not worth the price we spend there at all.

I ordered take out from here a couple nights ago, and was sitting in the chairs waiting for my order. About 15 minutes go by and I hear my name being called so as I get up to go get it, I hear a tall girl with tattoos and black glasses scream “suck my a**, Sarah” and walk back to the kitchen. I see her coworker(who helped me in the front, super sweet girl with colorful hair) point at me and the other girl turns around, laughs, grabs my order and brings it to me as she still laughing and doesn’t even apologize. I was debating on posting this but I don’t feel as if that comment was necessary. Besides that, my food was amazing.

I just ordered my lunch - volcano roll and spicy tuna roll. It used to be my favorite place to get volcano roll. This time volcano roll drowned in oil on top of the spicy Mayo. Simply disgusting … It was so much oil that the order arrived dirty.

The food was delicious and quickly served. Our waitress marissa, was very courteous and professional, and the manager Patricia was very friendly and funny

Expectations surpassed. The sushi maki here in coconut groves is beyond a delicious experience. The manager Dixon went above and beyond and ensured a wonderful dining experience. The sushi here was tasty and would recommend others to try here.

Friendly staff but fish quality just isn’t there, prices are good though. The rolls are decent but sashimi should be avoided, the fish was mushy and clearly not as good of quality as other sushi spots nearby.

Food is always great but the service is also impressive. I ordered from Uber eats and the delivery guy did not check the order and forgot to get my drink. Furthermore the bag was open and handed to me sideways which caused the food inside to slide out and fall on the ground. I called Sushi Maki and spoke to the manager Keisha and explained what happened. She gladly heard me and offered to remake the order and give me my missing drink. I wanted to leave a review because good customer service should be noted and praised. This is why I will continue coming back to this Sushi Maki.

Walked in in a bit of a rush on a Friday evening. Patricia was friendly and accommodating. Although they were very busy, team was able to rush my order so I could get to my event on time. Spicy tuna is delicious.

It’s mediocre corporate sushi but it’s easy and convenient. Our kids love it. I eat it regularly for lunch. Just easy peasy but don’t expect fancy sushi.

Love coming here with my girls, service is fast, food is good and the staff and manager are very nice. On Thursdays they do 1/2 off, beer, wine & sake. Wish I worked nearby to take advantage of their lunch specials.

Wonderful staff and great food! I was staying near by for work and Patricia and Mary helped me the multiple times I came here for lunch. They were both so friendly and welcoming! Definitely a great place to stop! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Great sushi with a relaxed unrushed atmosphere! Also I like the concept of counter ordering combined with awesome table servers, who were very attentive and responsive to our needs. My wife and I will definitely be back!

I was a really bad experience. After the system changed a couples weeks ago, the app changed too from sushi maki to Eat sushi maki, no one cant explain here nothing..even he person that she said supposed to be the manager. No one can’t figure out the problem, and leave my order coldest. I have to ordered twice and then I received the food very cold. The sushi not was fresh, not prepared at the moment. The chicken was hard to eat. Very very bad experience. I live in front of this place. In 6 years, it’s the first time that happened this.

Pretty good counter service sushi! It is a great quick bite in the area if you're craving some sushi but don't wanna go the full service dining route.

I was there on Saturday with my family and we enjoyed the quality of the food flavor and presentation but we did not have a good experience with the restaurant environment. It was extremely hot to the point that we almost have to grab our plates and go outside. waitress and sushi chefs were sweating and working uncomfortable to the customer's eyes. There were a couple of employees going back and forth from the bathroom trying to refresh their face with water. Today I ordered for pick up and when I got to the restaurant, conditions were the same or worse. I even took a picture of the Thermostat inside the restaurant. Employees at this restaurant should not work under this conditions. I even suggested they should all go home and close the restaurant until corporate fix the AC or I will call the Labor Department. i am giving this restaurant 4 stars because regardless of the unbearable heat, the sushi chef did a hell of a job with my sushi and the staff had wonderful costumer skills, otherwise I will give this restaurant 1/2 star. Fix the AC or you will loose several customers.

See update below, here is the original: The food is good, but I don't understand why they don't have a person compare the order receipt to what is in the bag. I almost never get everything I order, and I am about ready to give up ordering from here because sometimes what is missing is what you really wanted. Tonight, no calamari, and not really enough food without it. It would be such a simple thing to do to make sure you provide your customers what they pay for. But you just keep sending incomplete orders. Not a good business practice. Good luck. Updated review. Given the professional response below, and the high quality of the food (assuming you get it), I am updating my review to five stars. I don't plan to call the manager the next time I order, but I hope this feedback will improve things for all customers. I realize not every order can be perfect, but historically I was having quite a few missing items (I stopped ordering any drinks for example, because it was almost 100% guaranteed they would forget to bring the Boba tea). The sushi itself is delicious. Favorites are the Chili Tuna roll, the Sushi Burrito, and the salmon/yellowtail nigiri.

This used to be one of my favorite places. The last couple times I came it has been a disaster. I saw a chef grab a piece of fish with his hand while standing in the kitchen cooking and put it in his mouth. He wiped his hand on his pants and kept cooking. Today o waited 20 min for an order of gyoza in an empty restaurant. Then I ordered a roll and waited another 20 min. Each time I had to stand up and ask if my order was coming out and each time it then instantly came to the table after sitting on their counter for who knows how long.

Great variety of popular sushi types. Not a full sushi menu but a great picks and a great location. Also have poke bowls to select as well. If the weather is nice find a table outside.

Order as you walk in and find a table with your order #. Food is brought to the table. Service is fast. Food is yummy and presented really well. Good place for a quick bite.
