We managed to get a last minute reservation on a Friday night. An upscale restaurant good for dates and special occasions. There was also live music. The quality of the seafood was great. We tried the oysters, stone crab claws, king crab legs, and scallops, and enjoyed them thoroughly. The lobster bisque was creamy and delicious (with small chunks of lobster meat). It is a pleasant surprise that they have a gluten-free menu. Shoutout to our server Andrew (not sure if I heard the name right, sorry!) who is super attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He made our dinner truly enjoyable. Thank you!

I thought this would be the best meal of the trip, but we were very disappointed. We came on a slow Monday afternoon for lunch and sat outside. Their dress code is very strict, and we were wearing upscale clothing aside from our leather flip flops. The hostess told us kindly for next time, that flip flops are not allowed. Not a problem, but I was expecting a higher quality meal for the type of setting they are creating. If you’re going to demand a strict dress code, all of your dishes should be five star quality. The shrimp cocktail was good, no complaints. I also enjoyed the seared ahi tuna I ordered. The side of crab fried rice was just okay, not nearly as good as other upscale chains I’ve visited. My husband wasn’t impressed with his lobster roll, and said he’s had better from a shack on the side of the road. My mom’s chicken was extremely over-cooked, and so dry she was choking on it. We weren’t interested enough to order dessert. We love fine dining, but unfortunately Truluck’s did not deliver.

My favorite Miami Spice restaurant that I’ve been to this year and overall it’s one of my tops in the years I’ve been participating. Excellent service. Excellent safety protocols. Wonderful food…so good in fact that I forgot to take a lot of pictures of the main dishes :-) The lobster bisque was outstanding. The ahi was amazing. The steak was delicious. The cocktails were wonderful. We will be returning soon :-)

This was truly a great experience. Old school vibe with top-notch service. You can't go wrong at this restaurant. They had a piano player who was a nice touch to the night.

Came here for lunch on a whim. It's pretty good, but it isn't a modern restaurant with a creative head chef. They do very plain seafood and meat dishes that any mediocre line chef can reliably prepare. However, our server (Randy) was excellent. I wanted to give five stars because he was so nice, but I felt that would underemphasize the mere acceptability of the food at this price point. I think there are much better restaurants within a short walk at the same price point, so probably you should find one of them, unless you absolutely have to eat simple seafood.

I had dinner there last night with a friend and it was fabulous! Everything from the hostess being friendly to the fantastic service and especially the food was incredible! It was truly an enjoyable experience. If you're in Miami and want to enjoy wonderful food with 5-star service, go to Trulucks. Victor, our server was amazing and really on top of his game. The whole experience was so enjoyable I couldn't have asked for more. I also highly recommend the seabass, exceptionally delicious!

I don't write reviews unless I have a beyond-astounding experience. Jean went above and beyond to make our 1 Year Anniversary truly special. Jean was incredibly attentive, a wonderful conversationalist, ensured that our food came out at the perfect time (appetizers, followed by entrees, followed by dessert), and always followed up to make sure we had what we needed. The food itself was incredibly amazing; best seafood in Miami. Awesome atmosphere and ambiance to top it off. Will return the first opportunity we get!! - Anthony & Erica

One of the best/ favorite meals in Miami. Honestly it was our anniversary and our last night of vacation, all of the staff including our waiter Carlos made it sooo special. Definitely coming back here again! Best service and food was amazing 🥰❤️ I would give this place more than 10 stars!!!

I'll start by saying we were there with a large party and ate from a pre fixe menu. The food was good, but not to the standard I was expecting. The cocktails were delightful! The lobster bisque was definitely top tier along with the bread and vegetarian ceviche. My filet was close to rare, i asked for medium, but it was pretty good. The crab toppings like the crab cake didn't taste amazing. My wife's scallops were good and a fair portion, but they were overdone. I've heard such great things, I know we'll try them again, just not with a large party.

I always eat at Trulucks when I visit Miami, and this time I took two of my friends. We were all very impressed with everything we ate and drank. It was close to closing, yet they never rushed us. The food, drinks, service, and live music are always on point. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Good not great. The location and the feel of this place, and the prices made me think this experience would be better than it was. Maybe it was because it was lunch, or maybe because I was dining alone, but the experience I got was lower than my expectations and the food was good not great. I enjoyed the lobster bisque but it was too rich to finish. The crab cakes were delicious but had multiple bits of shells in them. The shrimp cocktail came out on dry ice and the presentation was incredible but they were chewy and a tad overcooked. I would eat here again to see if the experience would be better at dinner.

Wonderful seafood restaurant in the heart of downtown. The ambiance at this restaurant is fantastic. Note that you can valet park right out front for $20 or in the garage for $10. Really this was 4.5 stars and if I could give it I would. The shrimp and crab were absolutely wonderful as was the crab cake. The trout amandine was 5/5 as was the miso sea bass. The service was probably a 3.5 to 4 - unfortunately our server did not once refill our water and the experience did not seem 5 stars. This may seem irrelevant to some but with the price and level of fine dining comes a level of service that is expected. Overall the food was 5/5!! Would definitely return again!

I didn’t do a great job with the photos this time! We try a bunch of dishes and all of them were tasty and fresh. Definitely the sea food is their specialty. Old fashion ambience, life music, and crowded so is better to have a reservation. Great location just on the main road in a very safe area. Enjoy!

The calamari was so flavourful. The food was delicious and our server Marvin was awesome! I gave them four stars due to the wait time, aside from that everything was great! The Alaskan bake dessert is so yummy!

AWESOME... The minute we walked through the doors of Truluck we were greeted with a huge Welcome and Smile... We were seated right away. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that had menus that light up (no phone flashlight needed😂❤️) Our waitress, Isabella, was a joy. She made sure we had everything we needed. She is very kind, professional and attentive. They gave the Birthday girl a free flaming dessert, which we totally enjoyed. The food was beyond AMAZING!!! Anytime this restaurant is in any city I visit I will eat there. The ladies had Norwegian Salmon with the Crab Fried Rice and I had the Miso-Glazed Sea Bass... I can’t forget the Parker House Style Rolls… OMG - Scrumptious!!! What really topped it off was the phone call the next day asking how our visit to Turluck was... WOW...

We went there to celebrate my dad’s 88th Birthday. The waiter (sorry I forgot the name) was very accommodating and friendly. We ordered Shrimp cocktail, salt & pepper calamari and stone crab claws for appetizer. Delicious! For the main event we had Mediterranean branzino, sesame seared tuna, lobster brochette, lobster tails scampi and blue crab stuffed lobster tail. Some of us are on a gluten free diet, so they accommodated for that. Finally they brought out an ice cream dessert FLAMED and the best part on the house. It was excellent dinning experience. 👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿

Hands down one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Miami!! Not only do they have great seafood, but their steak is delicious! Literally nothing is needed to make it better, no sauce or toppings! Can't wait to go back!

Truluck’s is a Miami Staple for fine dining. Where old money meets new. The food here is excellence as well as the service. The steak medallions were like butter, and the flavors in the lobster bisque just might make you moan (yes in-spite of being in public place). I honestly cannot wait to come back here. Show your partner you that you love them by taking them to Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever received. From start to finish it was a memorable experience. Our waiter, Oscar Dellado was extremely helpful in making suggestions on wine, appetizers, dinner, and desserts. We were celebrating my birthday, and he made it extra special. The restaurant goes out of their way to make your special occasion seem like a huge event! They put confetti on our table, and handed me a handwritten birthday card! The stuffed lobster tails and filet were cooked to perfection. Although we declined dessert, Oscar surprised us with quite the presentation of Baked Alaska, and my favorite, carrot cake! I’m a huge dress fan, and these didn’t disappoint! We will definitely dine here again next time in Miami

My experience at this location was quite disappointing. We had a party of 12 which from the beginning we knew we couldn't sit together which was perfectly fine. The manager Alex was very understanding when we were running late and actually was very professional through the whole ordeal. They sat our tables purposely on opposite sides of the restaurant which again we were ok with. One of the guests from the one table came to check on the other guests(mind you everyone is there to celebrate her birthday). Maria immediately comes over and tells her she can't come table to table because she is disturbing the guests. Mind you there weren't any guest at all seated by us. When I asked to speak to her she proceeded to tell me because of Covid she couldn't be over here. Well which one is it? At this point I felt because the color of our skin was the real reason. We were lied to by Maria and racially profiled in our opinion. Again I'm so disappointing and definitely would never patronize this restaurant ever!!!

I visited this place 2 times. The first was not as perfect as I wished, and the manager called me to clear all the moments and invited me to give it one more chance for the Trulucks. And I was absolutely impressed because of the perfect service and delicious food 😍 I absolutely recommend trying shrimp and crab napoleon and desserts ❤️

Fantastic. From the moment we walked in the door until the moment our car was brought back from the complimentary valet. Nima gave fantastic service and was so friendly and helpful. One of the best levels of service I have ever had. Food was tasty, well cooked and presented lovely. Just enough to make you feel full but not overly. We came to try during Miami Spice and decided to eat off the regular menu. They have full and smaller portions. It was outstanding. We will be back. Thank you

My husband and I just celebrated our honeymoon after 36 years of marriage. We were treated like royalty. It was very romantic. I was impressed with the LED menu. Thanks to the entire staff at Truluck's!

I would give this place 6 out of 5 stars if I could! Mercedes was a great server, good attention to detail and made my birthday experience extremely memorable. All of the food from start to finish was cooked perfectly from the calamari to the seabass. The drinks were top notch and I especially enjoyed the smoky mezcal tequila drink they offer. Their starter salad with pecans and goat cheese was 2nd to none. When I say EVERYthing was great, I mean it. Such a special place.

I’m from Washington, DC and we have a relatively new Truluck on K St in which I gave them a 5 star review. This one here is even better. The hostess Mary was extremely friendly and because I was visiting Miami Beach for my birthday gave me a lovely surprise presentation 🎉 Melissa the waitress was very nice as well and very attentive. I appreciate the great hospitality and ambiance presented here at Truluck’s. I chose the patio seating so I could enjoy the weather and night lights. The Filet and Norwegian Salmon are my favorites 👌🏾

Friends and I visited this place on a Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday. I’ve visited other locations so I was looking forward to the world famous carrot cake. Without posting a lengthy review I would say from start to finish the experience was overwhelming disappointing. So much so, that at the end I was just ready to go and decided against my favorite cake. Before we left the manager did speak with us and as a result comped our bill. We appreciated that and our concerns and feedback being heard. Perhaps it was just an off night but the experience wasn’t that of a high caliber restaurant.

Loved it! Highly recommend the bread roll, the stone crabs, the seared tuna and the miso sea bass with the crab fried rice (slightly sweet but so tender and delicious). The carrot cake was HUGE and good, just not amazing as some reviews said it to be. Be mindful that the entrees takes a while. Service was great and the restaurant was classy. We will definitely be returning.

We went here for our 1yr anniversary and the food was good. We really enjoyed the treat they gave us! Lobster mashed potatoes were everything! I can't remember what drink I had but that was really good with the dry ice!

Absolutely loved our time there! The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing. We were celebrating our engagement and they decorated the table with rose petals, took great care of us, and even called the next day to ensure we enjoyed our experience. Highly recommend! Their oysters and lobster are delicious.

Side note from the review: there is a self park garage right next to the restaurant so no need to worry about parking. Customer service was great and the restaurant had a nice ambience. Wine list is okay. We had oysters for appetizers. Pretty small but fresh. For our main we had the king crabs, stone crabs and the mediterranean branzino. King crabs were a bit over cooked and I prefer the king crabs not seasoned or cooked so it was okay. Stone crabs were amazing! I usually find stone crabs on the saltier side however these were not The branzino was also great. For desert we had a carrot cake. Really delicious if you have a sweet tooth. And the portion is huge.

Excellent seafood and cocktails. However, the lighting was set way too dark - we like to see what we're eating. We asked for the lights to be turned up a bit, but they wouldn't. We'd visit again, but it was so dark, my wife doesn't want to.

When you dine at a 5 star restaurant you expect everyone to be properly dressed. I applaud Trulucks’s decision to post this at their entry.. The last time we dined there we were horrified at the lack of respect for other diners . Thank you Truluck for standing up to higher standard for all diners

A cherished friend and myself dined at Trulucks for Mother's Day after attending a Mother's Day concert. What a treat from beginning to end. The ambiance was so incredible. The only thing that would have made the experience even more spectacular is if our table was near the LIVE ENTERTAINMENT!! I will be dining there again VERY SOON
