Went on a day trip with my best friend to show her a nice time definitely the kind of place where are you can spend the day commune with nature and truly have an experience. Anyone can go to a restaurant but spending time around nature while having some delicious food at the garden restaurant was totally worth it followed by a trip through the butterfly sanctuary. Parking is a little difficult so if you do get there and noticed there is no parking I will go inside and let the front desk know so that they can open up the back parking in the low lands. If you do park in the low lands you’re better off when it’s time to leave going out through the back exit by the lake so that you can be closer to your car as there is no entrance into the lower lines from the outside without a code. Looking forward to taking my family there tomorrow for the chocolate festival.

Beautiful place to spend all day! There are plenty of things to do. You can eat there, bring your own or buy in there. The butterfly garden, botanical garden, and the rain forest are a must to be seen. All the beautiful sculptures made a wonderful frame to fantastic pictures. Starting now in November, the Xmas lights are a night show that it's a wonderful experience to do with your partner or family. Expect long walks while enjoying the natural outdoor beauty of this place.

I have no words to describe how beautiful is this garden. We went this past weekend for the chocolate festival but that was nothing compared to the beauty of nature in this place. The butterfly garden in particular left an impression on me because we were able to see so many butterflies up close, I completely fell in love. Also I loved all the plants with all those beautiful leaves. I loved the inmense variety of spectacular leaves 🍃

Absolutely gorgeous evening. The fever event was so worth every penny. I suppose you could walk through the whole thing as fast or as slow as you want. We spent almost 2 hours there and it was super fascinating. Aside from the gorgeous gardens the lighting and music and ambiance made the whole evening quite magical. Pictures pictures everywhere and most people were on the same page so it was easy to stop for photos along the path. Overall fantastic experience and well worth it

Always a great day here. Went on the tram tour - excellent tour, very informative. Ate in the Cafe. All very tasty. Beautiful tropical rain Forrest display and the butterfly aviary is incredible. Up close and personal with dozens of different 🦋 butterflies!

The Place is beautiful. Now, it's over 80 acres and in my opnion easy to get lost. Even with a map its still hard. I could not find any exit signs to help you find the exit. I suggest to number the paths and maps for better navigation in the property. The plants and flowers are awesome colors everywhere. They had the Lego animals everywhere, that was awesome. Also maybe place water stations out there. When we went it was over 90 degrees. Over all it was a great experience for the young and old.

WOW!!! This botanical garden is incredible. Start with the tram ride and get an overview. They have a butterfly house, a Chihuly display, lovely Palms. I definitely endorse this location as a must see if you are in Miami. The tram driver was informative and hit the highlights of the garden. Really delightful. You can get a AAA discount if you purchase tickets at the counter vs. Online. Also, check on Tram tour times. Today, they were at 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00.

Wonderful and unique Botanic Garden. Would strongly recommend to any one visiting south Florida who enjoys nature. One year I was able to be there for the Cacao Festival which was accompanied by delicious foods and chocolates. Be sure to check out the event calendar if interested. I would strongly recommend visiting even if.theres no events. The vivarium / butterfly enclosure is engrossing. Definitely worth the trip for the flora alone as.well.

Beautiful park with so much to see. Great trails to explore. Exotic plants. There is something for everyone to see. Today was a rainy day so the pictures are on the dark side. We have been other times when it was sunny and bright. Be sure to walk thru the Butterfly Garden, which is fascinating. They also have trams for a 45 minute ride. Entrance fee is $25 per adult. We were hoping to see the Lego exhibit but it wasn't there anymore.

The main reason I wanted to come was to see the butterfly garden, and I was not disappointed! There was a good amount of walking the paths through the gardens to get to the butterfly area, so there was ample time to see the beautiful vegetation along the way. The Glasshouse Cafe, located to the right of the butterfly garden, has a delicious hummus veggie wrap, grilled cheese sandwich, and soft pretzel. It's amazing to see all the different species flutter around you, and you can take as long as you want to enjoy the beauty. Parking is included in the admission fee.

The Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens have been a favorite little getaway of mine for some time now. Nestled in some of the more picturesque neighborhoods of South Florida, FTBG can transport you away from the hustle and bustle,, and deep into nature. It's perfect for those who want to be immersed in nature and beauty, without having to slog around in a swamp or do strenuous hiking trails. Plants and flowers from all over the world are here for you to admire and adore. Not to mention the incredible butterfly garden with myriads of species on display for you to enjoy. All of the areas are easily accessible, and there's also an option to take an informative trolley ride where you can learn about the history of the gardens and the numerous wonderful flora and fauna inside. If you get hungry or thirsty, there's a great Cafe on site to satisfy your cravings. I've been a member of Fairchild for many years now. There are many different levels of sponsorship for you to take advantage of,, with discounts for students and seniors. I primarily joined because of the photography classes that they offer. The classes provide opportunities to further appreciate the beauty and serenity of the gardens and brush up on your skills. They also offer horticultural classes as well, and host a spectacular orchid exhibition. As a member, I should probably visit more often than I do, but I always leave with feelings of happiness and peace when I take the chance to. If you're ever looking for a little escape into nature, give the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens a try.

Great place for the family! We came for Easter 2022 for the first time and enjoyed our afternoon strolling through the gardens together. Our almost one year old got to practice his walking and our teenagers loved the butterfly exhibit. My favorite part was the "rain forest" and as a plant enthusiast, my husband liked the rare plants the most. One of our favorite gardens in South Florida so far!

Fairchild Botanic Garden is a beautiful and serene place. There are so many trees and plants—flowers and streams and lakes are so diverse and beautiful. It’s a must see, for places like this show us the graceful exuberance of nature and leave one in awe. I hope this park lasts and future generations can see and experience this gem. The butterfly exhibit is also gorgeous and there are events constantly.

A must visit for plant lovers. Very well maintained with exotic trees and plants. There is a butterfly garden with exotic butterflies and they ensure that they don't accidentally get released in the environment so as to protect the native species. I went around Christmas time and they had a night garden too where they lit up the whole place using lasers to make it a unique experience. There is a very good restaurant inside with pretty good food.

Recommend this place if you love plants especially orchids and palms plus they have their own butterfly area which is awesome. Super lovely and helpful staff who are volunteers. They have some great dragons for kids and a mango festival which they were setting up for the weekend. Would recommend going to see.

WOW!!!!! Absolutely beautiful garden! We went for the dragon display and I can't say enough good things about it! They have misters that make it look like an enchanted forest. You walk along the path which is paved and see all the beautiful flowers, orchids and trees. The grounds are impeccable and the staff was very nice. There are benches everywhere and ponds and a stream. There's even a little waterfall. I recommend this place for those of you who love nature and serenity. Their gift shop is full of wonderful things from organic teas to beautiful journals. There was a shaved ice truck and a taco truck too. DELICIOUS!! If you are going, wear your walking shoes and a parasol or hat during the day. Absolutely beautiful place!

I love this botanical garden. I’ve been so many all over the US and Europe and this is by far the best. First went in 2013 and now back in 2023 and it’s still absolutely amazing. Completely worth 25$ per person you can tell they put so much into the park. Take 2-4 hours to enjoy it all but even for an hour it’s worth it. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff as well as a clean environment. Cannot wait to go back again. They still had some orchids up from the previous event. They don’t have as many sculptures like they used to around the park but they did still have one up!

Beautiful garden! Super nice staff. Be sure to come with mosquito spray because those bugs won't let up. If you plan to take the tram tour, arrive early before the departure. The seats are limited and fill up fast. Wish there was a sign up because we tried many times and were rejected every time. Don't skip on the butterflies! Amazing!

This is a beautiful hidden gem. We travel to Miami often and never knew about it. We will most definitely return. It’s family friendly and highly recommend. We enjoyed the freedom of exploring on our own with the map and well appointed markers. The park is completely litter free and well maintained. The butterfly garden was a lovely and unexpected addition and the staff friendly and welcoming.

Simply beautiful…Looking to go here? GO! We’ll maintained botanical gardens. Easy to get to with ample parking. There is a tram if you don’t want to walk, but you should if you can, so you can take in all the beauty. The garden has an array of different species of plants and trees. They also often have different concerts and shows of art. During the summer you will be hot. Drink plenty of fluids and take your time.

Astounding historic botanical garden in Coral Gables, Florida. Well worth the time to plan ahead on a weekend or weekday. Gorgeous plants, flowers, trees and along with extraordinary exhibitions. This month is all about the Lego! Plan on bringing your walking shoes and enjoy it all. They have a nice place to grab a bite and take a rest from the weather. Drink plenty of water! Keep an eye peeled for beautiful wildlife that share this remarkable garden. Finally and better still bring a nice picnic and make it a whole day!

By far, one of the best private parks/gardens. Very open and friendly. Have fun and mind the plants. There are not too many rules like the others. The wife and I stopped many times to sit on a bench surrounded by beautiful scenery. Some of these locations would be off limits I parks. The staff were amazing.

Probably the best botanical garden in South Florida. It’s beautiful, peaceful and the enormous. They always have events or exhibitions going on. Around Christmas and new year it’s the “light garden” which starts when it gets dark.

This place is magical! Any day, every time of the year we discover new marvels. Festivals are great but so are regular days to walk and explore. The kids live the butterfly garden and the cafe sandwiches and cookies are delicious! We have been members for years and it’s a “brings us joy” place.

This was a lovely and tranquil botanical garden to see while we were stopping in Miami for just a couple of days. It's fairly pricey to enter the garden, but it's well worth it. Our next family adventure take us to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden located in Coral Glades, our summer camp visited the exhibition of dragons and mystical creatures it was an unforgettable experience even though the heat was intense but it was interesting and educational too The Botanic Garden is a place where you connect with nature and with the perfect climate it is ideal to spend time with the family and walk, enjoy so much natural tranquility outside of all the noise of a city that never rests like Miami. If heat is a problem, the Botanic Garden has a rain forest to cool off and continue the tour High recommend place.

Beautiful! Parking was free, they had an awesome student discount. The only criticism is when I arrived, no one was in the gift shop and it was locked. There were no signs or directions for where to get tickets. There was a confused group of people in front, all wondering what was going on and if it was closed. The only reason I was able to go in was because a visitor told me to just walk in, and upon doing so, I found the booth to get tickets. Aside from that, I really recommend this place!

Pros: This is a great place to spend the afternoon. The grounds are beautiful and the butterflies are truly amazing. Also, the rainforest forest plants are misted to keep them healthy - which means you get misted too (definitely a plus on hot days). Cons: The tram is a fantastic service and helps you to get oriented to the grounds. We found that the system for using the tram was very informal - which led to a long wait and lots of people getting on before us who had waited less time. I wish there was more of a system in place.

I was there for the light show event and must say it was not worth the ticket. Many people left very upset. They charge $35 per adult and you just walking to see some lights with very limited areas or special features. If they had 5 areas with trail like the "Amazon forest" which I added pictures it would have been worth it but they only have 1 small area with mini show and the rest is just plain lights on some trees. If you walk slow you will finish the garden in 40min but don't come with big expectations

A beautiful gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Miami. A café is on site with tasty treats for the family and a small bar with some rotating choices for beer and mixed drinks. This is still a very beautiful and well maintained location. I went here a couple years ago with my wife , I went there yesterday with the kids. Tram tour was informative and fun. Variety of plant life and the volunteers were very informative and invested in the gardens. This time, a movie was been shot on location so some of the gardens were closed off to the public but a lot could still be seen
