Nice and peaceful park. They have bike rentals at the parking lot, including the fun surrey/quad bikes for the family. No lack of walking and nature trails, tons of iguanas, historic lighthouse, and plenty of picnic space. The beach is super nice as well. Would recommend bringing cash as the bike place doesn't accept cards and sometimes the machine in the park entry booths doesn't work as well. Great for families and couples

Nice park well kept. Interesting panels explaining the efforts to preserve the natural area. 8 dollars entry fee for parking. Nice beaches and BBQ areas. One restaurant bar.

This Place is Absolutely Beautiful. The Park Staff is super friendly and the entire experience is breathtaking. If you are looking to connect with nature, enjoy family time and put in your 10,000 steps for the day, this is the place. The nature trails are a great way to do all this, plus the park has tons of outdoor grills, lots of parking, clean bathrooms, lovely views, two great restaurants: The Lighthouse Cafe and Boaters Grill at the No Name Harbour. This is my most favorite park plus the drive to get there is scenic and you get the inspirational and good feeling every time you go there! Exceptional place to spend your day!

We weren't able to walk all the paths but for the little we were able to see and do, it is well worth a 2 dollar per pedestrian entry. Beaches here are some of the best in this area! The old light house is well taken care of and the light house cafe was small but friendly with some basic lunch fare such as sandwiches and salads. The black bean soup is my recommendation.

This state park has a very nice beach that’s perfect for small kids, as it’s fairly shallow. Gorgeous views from the fishing side of the park. It has picnic areas, a fishing pier, and even a birding trail. Be warned, April-October, large amounts of sargassum seaweed make it to the shore and can be a bit stinky when it decomposes. As of June 2022, it’s $8 per car for entry.

Beautiful park, close to Miami. You can enjoy walking or cycling here. Bicycles can be rented in the park. The beaches are beautiful. On the beach you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for a relatively low price. It is cheaper here than on the other beaches near Miami. The beach is flanked by an iconic lighthouse.

What a great day! The drive to the lighthouse was beautiful. Once there so much to do. Picnic, swimming, history to read about as you walk on the path to the lighthouse, a lot to see, you can tour the lighthouse twice a day you need to call ahead for the times. Great wide open spaces to walk, fishing and so much more. It was $8 a carload to enter the state park and look forward to going back.

Great little park in an amazing location. Lots of history here. I went on a summer weekday when the traffic in the park was very light and it was a great time to see the sights. Mainly fishermen along the sea walls and a few people on the beach but no crowds at all. Go on a day when the lighthouse is open and enjoy the views of the city and bay. There’s a good bike path and I managed to get in 5 miles touring around the park. Beautiful beaches. Nice harbor. This place must be very busy on the weekends.

This park is a little drive off U.S. Hwy 1, Biscayne Blvd, Miami but sure is worth the drive! Beautiful beaches and of course the Lighthouse. There is some wildlife. Get there early to get a glorious view of Miami and the surrounding landscape. There's a small cafe for dining. Check it all out!!

What an amazing beach and park to go to. Hidden away in Key Biscayne. It's great place to get away from the city rat race and recharge your mental and spiritual batteries. #1 Beach in Miami.

Absolutely beautiful place. We were so glad we decided to drive through Miami to visit. You can rent side-by-side bikes to travel which I would recommend since the shoreline is pretty long. Plenty of shade to have a picnic and there is a Cafe you can enjoy while you are there. This is a must see!!

The park is really quite pretty, but we were clearly not the only people that seemed to think that. There were so many other people there. But most of them were congregated in the west beach, so if you leave there it can be very nice

Beautiful lighthouse here you can tour, and a great beach to relax and today we did a beach clean up here. Very beautiful park right at the end of key biscanye I recommend getting your photos done here with the lighthouse - it’s very beautiful for family photos setting. (You do have to pay to get in the car pay by car) I think it was 5$…. Not a lot for all the exotic birds and beautiful waters that earth provides!

One of the best beaches near Miami. Perfect for kids and families to spend time together. Shallow waters and clean white sand beach areas are great for toddlers to safely play. The entrance fee to the state park manages the place from becoming super crowded. Rental umbrellas and chairs are good options to easily spend half a day at the beach. Would definitely recommend 👍

Gorgeous park! The beach is excellent and barely had any waves so was excellent for swimming. We went right before sunset and got the absolute best pictures.

I can visit this place every weekend. One of the best parks to visit in miami, the cleanliness is superb, the staff is polite, there is ample amount of parking, table-chairs, grills. We had an amazing time, the bike trails different from other parks. There is an entry fee of $8 per vehicle which is negligible if you compare the services they are offering, and lastly the washrooms are clean as well.

Such a nice place, you can take a small hike from the Bill Baggs parking lot to the lighthouse to make it worth your while. You could see all of Biscayne and downtown from the top of the lighthouse and they sometimes have tour guides there to tell you about the history. At the top it’s pretty small so you might want to early to avoid having to wait for people.

Came here for my birthday, it is beautiful! Sadly the lighthouse was closed but we really enjoyed the Lighthouse Cafe, swimming and just chilling on the beach, in December it's in the 80's it was wonderful. My favorite place by far during this visit to Miami and surrounding areas.

A *fantastic* park!!! This is a natural beach with the sand dunes and coastline plants intact. The beach is very nice and the water is clear. The historic lighthouse is beautiful. You can walk along trails through the natural areas and along the seawall. Bikes can be rented as well. When I go back to Miami visit I NEVER skip a visit to Cape Florida SP.

Awesome!! Best beaches in a regional park. Showers and restrooms. Parking. There's also a Café and a pretty good restaurant. And climbing the 110 stairs up to the top of the lighthouse: Priceless!

I adore this beach, lately I have found a lot less seaweed here than in Crandon Park, I enjoy the lighthouse, the bike rentals, you can see the old houses on Stilts city that most people don't know about & the Cafe is pretty nice. Better to be enjoyed during the week if you wanna avoid crowds as if anywhere in Miami 😀

Great place to visit. $8 entry fee per vehicle. The lighthouse has its own hours, so access was closed when we arrived after 4 pm. But we managed to get a good view from the beach. Lots of parking & picnic shelters. Beach was nice. Best part was walking the beach wall at the end of the island. We saw many fishes through the clear water, even saw an eel, nerf shark, bunch of parrotfish, others.

Truly beautiful park Great Beach awesome lighthouse with a neat tour. If you're afraid of heights do not climb to the top of this lighthouse because once you get up top you can go outside and there is a very thin tiny walkway not for the faint of heart but super fun! If you're in Miami you need to take a stop at this place and spend a few hours!

It is a good way to spend the weekend with your family and friends if you want to escape from the noise and the concrete jungle of downtown Miami. I went with my family and we made a barbecue in one of the cabanas. They were people celebrating baby showers and birthdays at the same time.

Beautiful trails, we park the car near Boater's Grill and walk to the lighthouse. we saw so many lizards/ iguanas on Robin's birding trail zooming across the trails, they are around 3-4feet long. Very beautiful blue-turquoise color of the ocean. $8 fee to get in Florida state park.

I love ❤️ this park. So much to do. If you don’t want to pay 💰 for parking There’s a nice neighborhood right down the street on the right. It’s a long walk to get to the water from the car so make sure you bring some water bug spray and a hat. They have two places you can get grub here. One please I will give you ice water for free the other place you paid two dollars. There’s a lot of nature wildlife and plants here. there’s a nice neighborhood right down the street on the right. Lovely park. Has a great trail under the tree canopy to keep you out of the sun. There is also a trail that runs parallel to the seawall that has no protection from the sun. This park offers great views of Stiltsville and the light house. Definitely worth a visit in the cooler months!

I loved this place because there was many things to do and it’s all within walking distance. There’s a beach, a lighthouse, & a fishing area along with Cabanas to sit with family or friends. Really nice place to relax or create adventure with kids.

I definitely recommend it! One of my favorite outdoor places around. Beautiful and nice spot for everyone. You can bike around or spend the day there. With parking, restaurant, trails, beach, restrooms, playgrounds, fishing area and lots of different corners with amazing views to have fun with friends and family or enjoy the nature quietly by yourself. My favorite part is the lighthouse. From outside it might not look too high but give it a try... you may even get a little tired with the spiral stairs but you will be surprised by what you can see from up there. It is a tiny area to share with other visitors but enough to be inspired by the magnitude of Mother Nature. 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice place indeed. The water was clear, you don’t wanna get too far out due to the jet skis, and the boats. But all in all what a fantastic place to hang out. Not hard to find, but parking might be a little difficult. That was a actually kind of hard to find.

  • 5/5 Andy V. 2 years ago on Google
I like Bill Baggs because it is more then just a beautiful beach. You can bike ride, ride a boat, host an outdoor event, grab a drink/bite and even climb up the historic lighthouse. This place is never really too crowded compared to other beaches and you are not likely to find tourists here. This is more of a local place to check out. The water here rarely moves, so there aren’t any waves. There is a small park fee to enter per vehicle but we’ll worth the visit.

A great Florida State Park to stop at and visit. Beautiful beach to walk along and swim at. I loved touring the lighthouse and going inside. The park staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the light house and the park. The cafe at the park had great tasting fresh food as well.

Definitely a beautiful park at the end of key Biscayne. The lighthouse is beautiful, and the beaches are remarkable!! More than enough parking even some with shade. A bunch of Picnic areas and places to sit and enjoy.

This park was fun to walk all around on the pathways and trails. Loved all the history and learning about why it was named after someone who was a WWII Veteran and a local man from the area. The lighthouse area was very cool as well even on a day when no tours are available to do. No tours on Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • 5/5 Jen 2 years ago on Google
Loved this park where it is located near Miami. Enjoyed the day walking around and exploring for the first time and the price for entrance for one person was only $4. Loved all the history and learning why it is called after a man who was a WWII Veteran. He was also a local man from the area to make sure the land was preserved instead turned into more condominiums.

This beach park is very peaceful, away from all the hustle and bustles of the South Beach and Miami downtown. There is a beautiful lighthouse with some history attached to hit. The Sandy area of the beach is small. The water here is very clear. It wasn't crowded when we were here in the end of November.

  • 5/5 Kevin B. 11 months ago on Google
This was a great and unexpected side trip. We wanted to walk the park, but hadn't done any research about what to expect. The lighthouse and light keepers quarters were awesome. They have a lot of signs explaining the history. We didn't go at the right time for the tour, but that would be a great idea. Totally recommend.

Love it here. Such a cool lighthouse. I didn’t get to do the tour but make sure to add that into your itinerary. The hours are available online and I think it’s free. The walkway leading up to the lighthouse is so pretty and photogenic. Make sure to walk around the shore after as well- lots of fishermen catching cool things, cool birds, and the sunsets are surreal.

Im a very frequent visitor to your beautiful national park, But for the past 18 months i have seen the seaweed accumulate from the shore to about 40 - 50 feet inland in width Its just unsightly, it takes too much area away from properly locating a spot for your blanket & umbrella that should be sand & not seaweed Or are we expected to plant blanket & umbrella on top of the seaweed ?? Seaweed i understand have some kind of lice ? It also smells !! Or maybe seat 50 feet from the seashore ?? All other beaches have cleaning crews every morning raking the sand for debris !! Also, there is an issue with the showers, You cannot take a proper rinse holding down the water flow button with one hand Why not put back the automatic shut off button {15/20 seconds} that the shower used to have & like the ones the other beaches use around fort lauderdale/miami beaches A lot of the tourists that visit your beach complain to each others about the inconvenience, this can not be good for tourism ? i see/hear it all the time when i am there In the hope that you can address these issues with common sense solutions Thank you
