While doing research on facilities I find it suspect that there are so many 5 star ratings all 7 months ago for this place. It's almost as if the company asked all the employees to leave reviews for their company.

Unity Health and Rehab is an amazing place. Their staff are world class, highly skilled and intelligent yet compassionate. I would definitely feel comfortable having my loved ones under their care. I highly recommend this facility without reservations.

The facility itself was nice We saw a couple of the residents' rooms, and because they were all full, we had to stand out in the hall and not go in. The facility was clean and smelled fresh. They were getting ready for dinner and they had the tables set nicely for the residents, it was nice.

If I could rate a zero I would have done that. My grandmother is a patient at Unity. We saw my grandmother on Friday morning and she was ok. On Saturday morning when we came to visit her, she had a big bruise on her forehead. She had a hospice nurse and a regular nurse from unity. No one can tell us how she got the bruise on her forehead. The current nurse was very defensive and not willing to help us find out what happened. No one charted anything and did nothing to investigate her bruise. I would not recommend this place for your love ones. Horrible, unprofessional and unpleasant staff. Another thing is that the nurses were talking about my family in creole saying that we are trying to cause trouble for the facility. They failed to realize that we speak creole and english as well.

The Director for Activities Dept does such an amazing job with the patience and keep a very clean and caring atmosphere for the patience and keep them in a high spirited attitudes and beautiful relation with all the patience and make them feel like family very diverse and cultural atmosphere in this melting pot community in the beautiful South Florida region. 5 stars may seem extraordinary to some, perhaps even hard to believe, but during my 3 years as an employee at Unity Health & Rehab I’ve witnessed extraordinary, yes even heroic behaviors. Endless energy and kindly care for our residents. The kitchen staff offering home-made quality, no cost meals to all employees during the worst of the pandemic, because we could not go out or bring in take-out. Daily management and clinical meeting to ensure the best outcome for all residents. Yes, 5 stars is an easy choice for this reviewer.

We are so very thankful that we found unity health and rehab. Everyone at this facility was so very caring, receptive and accommodating to Mom's care. The respect and attention that she received from Nurse Kathy, Emily, Stephanie and all the staff was incomparable. This is a safe, nurturing and clean environment for assisted living and memory care. Nurse Kathy as well as her staff are not only warm and sympathetic , but knowledgeable in the many aspects of care for seniors and the elderly. I wish I could rate them 10 stars.

Great place to work. The administrator is always making sure things are being done. The DON is a role model. She is knowledgeable. Great place to refer families and friends for rehabilitation, long term care as well as respite care. I have seen members came in for rehab get better and go back home .

My grandmother was experiencing some health issues and needed rehab. We were recommended to send her to Unity. After researching and talking to the Administrator and staff we decided to send her their. It was the greatest decision we made. My beautiful grandma has come such a long way. She was very weak when she arrived and thank to the staff, Nurses, Dr. she is now thriving. Their attention to detail with their Patients is immaculate. They saved her life, being observing and meticulous with their patient as they are they noticed she was declining in health and immediately contacted us and send her to the hospital. Luckily the team of doctors at UM hospital were able to help her and she is now back at Unity in good health and good spirits. Everyone at Unity deserves recognition and gratitude as they all work together to make all the Patients their priority. I’m so happy and grateful to them all. Thank you Unity for providing a facility for people in need to feel safe, respected and taken care of.

I spent ten years working at unity. I enjoyed it very much. Then I left. While working for other facilities, one thing was missing the way I use to enjoyed my job. It's a family affair at unity. Now that I'm back I feel wonderful. I see most of my previous co-workers and I'm right back into the fold.

The Unity therapy department is very wonderful. The young ladies and gentlemen work very hard with all of us. They did a miracle with me. The physical therapy team, occupational therapy team, and speech therapy are very helpful. Shaukat and Marie are the best in this department. Shaukat has helped me, he takes the time to talk to me, and is a very nice boss. I appreciate him so very much. Marie is so nice to me and very attentive to anything I need. I can't say enough about nursing and the staff-especially, Ms. Michelle. She has been there for me through thick and thin. I don't know what I would do without her. There is no one like Mr. Alex. I have a relative that was placed at Unity. To my surprise, it was nothing like other experiences I've had visiting care facilities. The staff has been very pleasant to work with and made me feel comfortable with the care my cousin is receiving. The facility is in the process of making upgrades and the fresh look only adds to my comfort. I am happy I was able to place my family member there where the staff REALLY CARES.

Unity, has been a place she calls home. She was admitted for rehabilitation, weeks later when I inquired if she was ready to leave. She informed me that she wasted to stay. Friendly staff, cleanliness, amazing nurses, a very professional social worker department that understands individual patient needs and the available resources in our community. Staff will sit with patients who are not able to feed themselves and try to spoon feed them. Visitors are allowed to spend time with loved ones in their room or outside the building on a covered terrace. Constant monitoring of patient symptoms for optimal treatment plans. Informed physicians working closely with nurses and caregivers. Great care overall!

I love it here. Lots of friendly faces. From the entrance to the exits. This place has a very homey feel. The entire staff treats you like family. The meals from the kitchen is made with love like home. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and newly renovated, and smell nice just like home. This is definitely my home way from home.

If I could rate it a ten I would. The staff were nice and made me feel right at home. My grandfather is a patient at unity and whenever I visit he seems happier then ever. The place is very clean and professional I highly recommend everyone to have their loved ones here over any other facility.

I am a newly hired employee and I really like the place. It is clean and the people from HR have been very helpful. I have had a kind and smooth beginning in this institution.

I am a agency nurse.. I come to this facility multiple times due to trying to help facilities out with staffing issues. This facility has an staffing coordinator that doesn’t care or value the nurses that come there.. The coordinator don’t correct the timesheets that is due on Monday morning. If timesheets are due at 10a.m. it won’t be done until the afternoon. That mean you won’t get paid until the previous week… Stay away from this facility if your nurse.. Take my advice or you go find out

I'm genuinely surprised by the lack of care for my family member's health at this facility. They were admitted for rehabilitation after surgery due to complications from their DIABETES. I find it very difficult to understand why the facility would serve meals that are fried, greasy, and/or high in starch as well as serve juices containing large amounts of sugar to someone WITH DIABETES. My family member shares photos of their meals with me and lets me know their blood sugar readings regularly, which consistently show levels in the 300s even early in the day (which is VERY high). It feels like their health has been entirely neglected especially after we have REPEATEDLY let the facility know that they need a diet that will help keep their blood sugar levels under control. I have attached photos of the kinds of meals they have been serving to my diabetic family member and I hope this information may inform or save others from the gross negligence of this facility.

The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The rapport between new hires and the staff are very open and they are very friendly.

I'm an ex-employee of Unity Health; I worked there for over 23 years. I enjoyed every moment of those years, and leaving was one of the most complex decisions I had to make because I felt as if I was separating from my family. Unity is a fantastic place to work with caring and devoted staff members. Annette, the social worker, goes above and beyond for her residents and family members. Mytchell, the Director of Nursing, has a fantastic connection with her staff and a loving and caring relationship with her residents. The therapy staff is the best and knowledgeable. I considered Unity a hidden gem within a produced community. If you're looking for a home for your family member, this is the place.

Have residents that sell liquor and cigarettes. Have some great nurses but they turn a eye to alot of things. Wish never went there.

I want to say thank you to Unity Health for continuing to provide not only a remarkable service to their patients but also to their employees. My mother has work for Unity Health for over 20+ years and she is under great care through Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center. Thank you so much.

Some of the staff were really nice and dedicated to their jobs like the therapy team, the doctor and a hand full of nurses but everyone else were so uncaring to their patients. They were impatient and dismissive with what some of patients wanted, they handled then a bit to rough and they were very unsanitary inside this facility. I went there to see my grandmother EVERYDAY and the things I would see were terrible. The night nurses would be rough putting this little old lady to bed, they scrapped off the food from plates that patients wouldn't eat to feed it to them later, the didn't bathe the old lady that was roommates with my grandma just rag wash her and to top it off THEY GAVE MY GRANDMA COVID! I wouldn't write a review if these conditions weren't true. They have these high reviews because their staff would do them but the most important people should be the patients and their care since it's their social security and disability and insurance that is taking care of the payments. PLEASE IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONES AT HOME DON'T PLACE THEM IN A NURSING HOME!

Hello , Unity family Like to take this time out to recognize Ms. Annette Spann for her diligent services to your facility. I have noticed how she interact with the staff and residents, she always give services with a smile and a pleasant words of encouragement to both residents and staff. I have seen the residents called Ms Spann by her first name, which make the residents feel like she is a part of their family, that is a great feeling to know how the residents can relate.

I worked at this facility for almost six years. I have seen first hand how dedicated the staff members are, especially Annette in the social services department. Working in these environments can be emotionally difficult, as I know first hand as I was a practicing Doctor at this facility as mentioned above. However, the medical team and Annette in social services rise above it all all day long, and focus only on the care of the patients. It inspiring to watch these people give so much do themselves.

So many things go into making you feel comfortable enough to leave your loved ones at one of these places, and This place hits all the marks. The staff goes above and beyond to make the patients feel loved and cared for. They are attentive to their needs and yours as a family member. Its clean and well organized and easy to reach at anytime. The nurses and staff are always welcoming, a special thanks to ivette she was educated and had an amazing ability to express what was going on in terms everyone could understand.

I highly recommend Unity Health. Ivette was kind, patient, and efficient. She easily guided us through the process and made us feel comfortable. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and treat everyone with respect and compassion. If you’re having any doubts about this facility, don’t hesitate. Ivette and her staff are welcoming and attends your concerns as part of the Unity Healthy family. They are unique in the manner they treat clients as a family, it’s what made my journey less rough.
