Hotel night staff is extremely confrontational which makes it difficult for them to help customers. The building needs A LOT of updating and it smells like wet carpet. A/C units make so much noise causing difficulty sleeping. Breakfast is limited and what is added to your bill for free breakfast doesnā€™t add up to what you get. Shuttle service included is $10 a person for airport and cruise portsā€¦ making it better to just call an Uber. They also donā€™t accommodate if you have paid in advance for your check-in. Our flight was delayed until 12:45 am and they said good luck and that they wouldnā€™t check us in our already paid room after 2:00 am and told us to hurry. Then when one of the people in our room went to check in with all the information (ID, Passport, CC, and reservation number) they wouldnā€™t let them at 1:30 am. I called and asked several times what we could do to check in and it wasnā€™t until the end of the long conversation they told me that I would need to email the property for someone else to check us inā€¦ We were finally checked in at 1:45 am. Stressful check-in.

Literally the worst hotel Iā€™ve ever stayed at. There was dried blood on the sheet. Bugs and just dirty and grime all over the hotel. There was mold in the showers and the hallways smelled like my basement after 2 weeks of flooding. The outlet was broken and could easily electrocute someone. Straight up dangerous and Definitely AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I don't know where to start... I had read the previous reviews on google about this hotel and I thought I would give it a chance... I regret my choice... I have nothing to say bad things about customer service and the person behind the counter, she was nice and calm ... On the other hand, the hotel is unsanitary, and the room is discouragingly dirty ... The carpet in the room was dirty and lots of pieces of food were there, clearly no one had cleaned this room, except that the bed was made... I found a straw in the middle of the room and a box of pizza empty behind the fridge ... In the morning there was no breakfast and the reason was simple, the person who takes care of it did not show up ... No accommodation was offered to me or a lunch coupon ... it's a shame because we take our hotels because of that. In addition, I passed by the hotel towards the end of my trip and the hotel had changed its name, it was called Bloom Hotel. To be avoided if you are with the family, especially the bath-shower ... incredibly dirty and there was complete rot.

Good value hotel close to the airport. Airport pick-up is free but organise in advanced to confirm that when you arrive is okay. Room was big and clean, everything worked fine. Great breakfast. Only issue was the dryer didn't work, it just made the clothes hot but still wet, so that should be fixed (I cleaned the filter before I used it but still no good).

Currently doing renovations here so donā€™t expect to have a pleasant stay from 9am-4pm, constant banging. One star because hotels should really state when theyā€™re doing renovations so customers are able to make an informed choice. Had I known I would have booked elsewhere.

This motel was extremely disappointing. We arrived late at night and when we got to our room, there was mold in the bathroom, the curtains would not close and the next morning we noticed red smear marks on the toilet tissue that was on the roll. Room was not clean and had a musty smell. We reported this to the service desk in the morning when we checked out and they could not have been more uncaring. Just looked at us and had nothing to say about what we experienced . We and others waited in the lobby for transportation for an hour or two and were told that there was no washroom in the lobby as it was out of service. When we arrived home after our vacation, I emailed the manager and he also was of no help and could not have cared less about our concerns. I will NEVER stay or recommend this property to anyone.

The area was ok even though there was a few stragglers hanging around. The hotel was very uncomfortable! It had a weird odor. The elevators were malfunctioning and they told me there were no stairs to go up, only to come down. The room was very uncomfortable. We had a non-smoking room, but the entire building smelled of smoke! The carpet was not vacuumed, it had old French fries and chicken tenders beside the bed. The tables had hand marks as if it wasnā€™t wiped clean. The bed had long and short hairs in the sheets, as if it was a nap room for employees. And lint balls along the foot of the bed. Just gross!!! The bathroom floor had not been mopped. The shower head was unsteady and the water pressure was very low. The bath towels had stains on them. I didnā€™t even bother to get breakfast, because if the common areas and room was disgusting.. imagine the kitchen?! The staff at the desk were decent young ladies, but you could tell they just work there.. no management to address concerns. In short, Donā€™t stay here. Itā€™s definitely a run down motel, not a hotel.

Me and my family visited Miami for 2 days and we stayed at Onyx hotel. I have stayed in Choice Hotel group many times but this hotel worst than expected. We found so many cockroach on the bed, table and on the floor during my first night of stay. As I was having kids with me, I asked staff that I need to speak to manager because staff can not do refund. Because it was Friday night Manager was not there and was supposed to come on Monday. I requested staff that there is no point to wait till Monday. They could able to change the room but that room was also not ended up with good experience for us. Staff even did not bothered to inform manager and endlessly mentioning till Monday nothing happens, as I paid big amount I did not had option to leave. I recommend to choose some other option if possible because in the same area you find more worth motel to stay with your family.

Absolutely terrible. Just got back from a cruise and just needed a quick hotel to stay for a night and got here early. Paid a fee to get a room early that wasnā€™t even cleaned. Hair was all over the hand rails in the showers, sticky residue on the bathroom door handle. Plus stains on the pillow cases! My boyfriend and I donā€™t even feel comfortable walking around barefoot. The breakfast was good but thatā€™s it. Barely anything to walk to either without uber. Very disappointing for $200+ on this place. Seriously it maybe cheap but pay the extra hundred for a better hotel. You canā€™t even reach the front desk via phone if you need to. 0/10 Health department needs to shut this place down honestly. UPDATE: we felt so itchy and my eyes started to burn, we paid extra to leave. Literally do not book here. Health department needs to come here. Once again Iā€™m going to say it. Absolutely disgusting!

My recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of a disaster. The service provided by Sophia was absolutely abysmal, with zero willingness to help and a complete lack of professionalism. To make matters worse, she chewed gum in an incredibly rude manner, showing a complete disregard for basic manners. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was also severely lacking. The carpets were filthy, and there was a persistent smell of dampness in the room. To top it off, there were no extra sheets provided for the cold weather, and the air conditioning was malfunctioning, leaving me uncomfortable throughout my stay. Furthermore, I had made a reservation from July 2nd to July 3rd, and despite arriving on July 2nd at 2 am, I was informed that I couldnā€™t check in. I had to call Booking to change the date, which they accommodated, but the hotel still charged me an additional $85 for an early check-in. This was completely unfair and unacceptable. In summary, this was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. I would strongly advise against staying at this establishment.

It solved our need for a place to stay after a long night flight. Room has a strong smell of dust and curtains don't work for covering street lights. You can hear the traffic, it is loud, but you can cover a little with the ac noise. There is no drinking water. You have to get it from a vending machine in 3rd floor. I personally liked that the beds were firm and comfortable, but wasnt sure it was clean enough. Service was helpful at 11pm and help us have a shuttle at 5am. Location is good, I liked having access to IHOP. Although with this past experience, I would try other choices.

RUN from this "hotel" Called for 30 mins straight to request a shuttle from the airport but couldn't get an answer so I had to call corporate for help. When I checked in, I mentioned that I called for Ā½ hour for pick up, the front desk "lady" was hella confrontational and let me know "there's just one of her." When my mother arrived at the airport, the evening front desk attendant wouldn't answer the operator call or the call from my cell so I came down to order the shuttle for her. When I get to the desk, she's scrolling Insta. Are you kidding me! The whole hotel stinks like mold. Every surface in our room was sticky AF. The elevators jump around and take forever to arrive. The breakfast attendant is so.dang.RUDE! Don't ask her for ish bc she will snap at you. Bring your own water bc they only offer coffee & milk and $3.00 for a 20oz venting machine Coke. Also, this is a residential hotel so ppl live here which means doors slamming all night and loud ppl in the hallway. We did not feel safe here. Plz read the reviews and then choose a safer option for your family.

Wow. I donā€™t think thereā€™s enough characters to describe how terrible this experience was. The photos are so out dated like itā€™s complete false advertising because nothing about the hotel was as shown on the website. First, when we arrived at the front door that doesnā€™t open we were greeted by a sign reading ā€œuse garage entranceā€ so we drug our luggage all the way around just get inside to an unfinished lobby, ancient & filthy elevators and a prominent oder of mildew. Next when we reach the room the oder is much more intense. The carpet is astonishingly filthy, I was sort of scared to touch, sit, or inhale or anything in this hotel. The bathroom was equally gross and the shower head didnā€™t work so it squirted water out. Thankfully it was only a few hours and we got to leave in the morning. This probably was a great place when it opened ages ago but in 2022 itā€™s giving RoseBud Motel.

My husband and I needed a hotel close to the airport, and found Onyx hotel to be in close proximity...when the taxi pulled up to the hotel your first impression is an abandon building!! we were immediately turned off. We went inside to see maybe, just maybe the saying that goes "don't judge a book by it's cover " applies to this situation...well guys in this case yes you have to judge this book by it's cover. The front entrance to the hotel was closed so we had to use the side entrance to the building to get into the lobby. When we walked into the lobby it was a mess, there were broken tiles and a bucket catching water from the ceiling...we all know leaks can happen anywhere but it was very clear that they were running a dump for people to come and stay. The smell of mole was present, so obviously they have ongoing problems in that building. My husband and I walked over to the dining area and sat down so we can make some calls to the other surrounding hotels for a room, because we definitely decided we are not staying there, just the smell of mole give you a sense that that place is bad for ones health...anyway the dining are is also not inviting, I sat by the window and saw dried up rice grain on the window sill. The rice grains are probably still there, and it has been almost a week since our experience. Onyx hotel need to close for repair ASAP.

I didnt know that this hotel was older until I arrived, which I donā€™t mind. The room was clean, beds were clean, definitely could use some new carpet and updated furniture. Our tub dripped constantly and the toilet had very low power to it..I was afraid it was going to overflow haha but it didnā€™t. Staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the airport was nice and quick. I liked this hotel for a one-night stay but it definitely needs to updating for sure.

This is a last minute can't find another hotel choice. Not sure if Google has changed the picture it is NOT a Holiday Inn I personally judge hotels off the room, staff service, ceilings, and elevator cleanliness. The place has a renovated look to the room but not really. Look up at the popcorn ceiling, and you'll find water stains. Staffing isn't too professional, especially regarding appearance. One queen bedroom

Before staying at this hotel, I actually read all the reviews, but since I got it for a good price i decided to go for it. I will start saying that staff is super helpful and nice. After that if you just need a bed and a hot shower before heading to the airport it does have what you need, the Hotel is clearly old and you might get a little bit of a fright when you get in the elevators. Room indid smell a little of bit like cigarrtte smoke, but tolerable, shuttle start running at 5 and an advance sign in is requiered but it is on time. Be aware that if you search in GPS or Uber, Hotel will appeared like Holliday inn Miami airport or something like that but not ONYX, I would not might to stay again in this hotel. There is a gas station close to get water and basic supplies, a cafeteria next to the hotel, McDonals and after McDonald there is this amazing sportbar with delicous food Old Tom's...

The service in this hotel is AMAZING! Specially the young pretty lady Miss Jiselle Banachi! She is a world class front desk receptionist, very attentive, sweet, caring, welcoming and professional! Iā€™ll be going back to stay there.

Former Holiday Inn Express. Old, run down and outdated. The smell in every room is nauseous. Lacking basic amenities like hair dryer and smart plugs on the walls. Plumbing is very poor, when flushing the toilet barely any water comes out of it. The stuff is very nice and helpful but they have their hands tied. This place Christ for a full renovation. Just because of the smell I would never set foot here again.

I have read lots of reviews! I can honestly say for the price we paid we got that, we were only staying overnight and needed a bed /shower. It was fine we got in late the staff was super friendly and nice! The room was clean I also sprayed and cleaned with Lysol wipes. The location is less than 10 mins from the airport. They also have a free breakfast we had sausage, bagels , bread , eggs and oatmeal , coffee , milk , juice . There is also an ihop right in the same parking lot. We paid 120.00 for the night the bed was also soft. If you need something quick n close I recommend it room 500 was good

The room was not wiped down. The couch had stains on it. When I got up the following day I had four byte marks on my leg. The food in the morning was hard. Our little one didn't even like the egg and sausage, how do you mess that up? Do not recommend staying here.

This place is in need of serious renovations! Rooms are dirty. The carpet smells of urine and hasnā€™t been vacuumed or shampooed in lord knows how long. The hallway carpets are just as dingy and dirty. The walls are dirty. The bathroom toilet was yellow. The tub had a mat that had a bubble in it felt warped. The room had roaches. The chair was outdated also dirty. The AC worked but was noisy. They are attempting to renovate by floors so the floor above us was under construction and it was constant noise even on the weekend. All in all I wonā€™t be back until they are done with renovations and hopefully bring this hotel up to par. The curtains were stained and dirty as well. The walls had either feces or blood on it. For the price I paid I feel was too expensive for the experience. The best part was Ihop being right out front and the airport literally across the street. Other than that I canā€™t find much nice to say. The staff were friendly and helpful.

So to start the area is decent and the parking was fast and close to the entrance :) . No security it seemed like . Was the safest being that after 11pm they close one of their main doors to enter the building . Staff was very nice and not to overwhelming or upset . Seemed rather happy . Behind her was a wall that only a mother could love the paint was chipped and rather peeling . Not the cleanest to say the least .okay now I am going up the elevator , the ride was sturdy but squeaky . I requested a high floor I was given a 3rd in a 6 story hotel . I was okay with that . I arrived to my room on a long shining movie style hallway . I was creeped out lighting was low in the day time . But I'm a little scary at times . The room was easy to find and as o got to my room I heard a loud women telling her kids "no you can't get no mo snacks sit yo a down " it bleed they the room . Okay some I'm in the room I have 2 queen beds . Okay room is decent . Old and worn but those beds was comfortable as a cloud look. The view I had was nice I could see a nice area of the city in an eclectic way and was rather peaceful to keep the window open at night since I was at 3rd floor . Tall hotel is was . We placed everything down and began to unpack WAIT a BLOOD OR CRANBERRY juice stain was waving at me . No that's scary . Ah moved mi tings quick man . Totally turn off . Ok vending and ice machine on 2 floor only šŸ˜– like what ? Okay the 2'nd floor is quiet and first room on right is the so called vending area . Wow 3,50 for a bottle of coke ? The vending machine had the nerve to say have a nice day ? To expensive DIGUST room ice machine decent but next to it was a machine from 1899 that was pale and colored off white like Virgil ( rip ) . With a hand written sight that was literally this "Å ORRY OUT OF ORD3R" But the machine that worked was good ... actually rather great . Now was the hell is this room so dirty please clean and the freaking micro wave was a joke it was like prop cause I ain't using thtat microwave on a foot stool . The hallways have nice mirrors . Now look the sleep was great The breakfast was a work of art in a bad way . Eggs was put in a shredder and I don't dare to say they were the freshest and the toast was 98ā‚¬ Publix , the muffins I didn't have but looked like a button they were so dry and small the good thing was cereal And juice .... the toast man wow ... terrible I think it was yogurt and water bottles as well . breakfast 2 of 5 stars Free and buffet style though . I opened a heat plate they had thinking it was more choice for breakfast and to my surprise completely empty . So eggs shredded , bread 98ā‚¬ cereal decent . Apple juice from elementary school . If you went to FL schools you know . And the front desk was nice again tea and coffee was good . Overall 3-5 I wouldn't recommend or go back unless your in a rush and have the money OR have to Sleep and want a room that don't justify the price . It may justify the area but the hotel is old . Just got new ownership . Going to take work old scary but calm and comfy once you break it in . Family friendly have to move in twos with one another . Thank you for the great bed and great service . Break and blood stain mix the cleaning ladies trying to kick us out early . It was decent not worth the money unless I'm need of a place in that area badly .

When we arrived the hotel is under renovations which is okay. They apologies due there was no kingsize bed room but offered us the 2 queen beds room. The room was nice, clean, no roaches or anything like the other reviews. Bathroom was clean as well. No complaints. The tv had lines but it didnā€™t bother me to watch tv. Hotel has Wifi. They will give you the password there. They have breakfast included. Hotel in located very close to the airport and very practical to reach to car rental for drop offs.

First of all, they need to update this location through all of the third party sites. When booked through a third party, it is still listed as a Holiday Inn and all that would come with one. Second- six when we arrived, it's this mess!! Their doing construction, the water was hot the first night, then it was lukewarm the rest of the nights, a roach was in the bathroom, the phone is not connected, they turned the water off without notice. I HATE IT HERE! Then we asked about the shuttle to the airport that suppose to be a complimentary service. I was told it doesn't begin until 7a.m. Our flight leaves at 6:30a.m. I asked how can it be complimentary when it doesnt meet all of the guest's flight itinerary? I looked online and the hours state 5 a.m. til 11:45 p.m. Please don't come here!!! This is a catfish hotel. No pool!!! Ughhhhhh If I could give them a negative rating, I would. The pictures online are as if they were taken with a filter.
