Really great assortment of creative and (happily surprising) edgier and more ethnic sandwiches, subs, and salads in a very mainstream level presentation. I tried the Louisiana Gulf Shrimp sub and it was pretty bomb. The shrimp were fine but it was the onions rings, remoulade, and hot sauce that set this off. Also had a bit of the Korean steak melt. I've had better Kalbi beef but the Sriracha mayo, chili sauce, and generous pepper jack cheese more than made up for it. Really solid Korean steak and cheese. Service was good, and the food came out quickly. Definitely will try more of their selections next time I'm back. Pro tip: get your food to go and eat at one of the benches at the beautiful Franklin park right across the street.

I got the portobello melt that had mushrooms, arugula, balsamic plum sauce, and cheese on sourdough. Interesting and tasty but noticeably soggy. Decently priced, and super friendly staff. There are salads as well. Can be busy around lunch time so order beforehand online.

Such a great place! Lots of sandwich choices. Lots of salad choices. Seeing all the people line up to get their sandwiches and/or salads at lunch time just means one thing - this place serves great food. With our order of a Rueben melt, a rib-eye steak melt, a meat ball hero, and a portobello mushroom melt, we can see why this place is so popular. Great food. Great location. Great Service.

Very convenient for a quick lunch spot! The best sandwich place has a large variety of sandwiches and salads to order or customize. Service is quick and in an easy location. The chipotle chicken melt was delicious with a Sun dried tomato pesto and grilled chicken. The crispy chicken melt was similar but came with a spicy mayo. Both were great and satisfying.

There is a lot to unpack. But with that being said, it's a solid sandwich joint. Now I had their classic turkey. It didn't wow me but it was good. The ingredients were fresh but they weren't bursting with flavor. The staff is quick and they remember your order as you give it them. My sandwich preparer had a case of the Mondays which is okay but you should never let anyone set you sweat, especially when you're in the midst of slapping meat on bread. Also the place was extremely crowded (around lunchtime in DC). The line was in and out the door. And their were two lines (one for sandwiches and the other for salads) but the way things were organized you'd think there was one line. After you order the line merges into one. I'm definitely going back to try one of their specialty sandwiches. Maybe I'll try a salad as well. But the name of the joint is The Best Sandwich Place, and when I return I want to taste something that will truly excite my taste buds or make me reminisce of my parents home made sandwiches.

The meats are delicious and all of the flavors are there. The only problem is the bread. It’s basically store bought and falls apart. The hot Italian sandwich should have had toasted bread, and the Korean steak sandwich should have been thicker so it didn’t fall apart. I would absolutely order the Korean bbq steak sandwich again. The flavors are fantastic. Everything else was fantastic.

The chicken Caesar wrap is top notch. All the sandwiches are good but you should really get the Caesar wrap.

They didn't have rye bread to make my Rueben sandwich and she forgot to add Swiss cheese to my sandwich. I was disappointed because it cost me close to $12.00. Also, turkey sandwich was processed lunch meat, I wanted the real thing.

Very good sandwich place that is packed during the weekdays. Pro tip-order ahead! There is a massive line during lunch because a lot of professionals come and eat here. The wraps are good as are the sandwhiches. They take a while with a line.

How often do you name a place so accurately? Their name says it all! If you can find a better deal in all of DC, I would like to know about it. It's really hard in DC to find a place that has good food and a good price, this place lives up to it's name... it truly is The BEST Sandwich Place

I made a rather last minute and large (100 ppl) lunch order for delivery. Jason and his team were super professional and accommodating despite some complicated security logistics and lack of notice. Most importantly, the food was delicious, fresh, and well packed. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we were so grateful to The Best Sandwich Place for being there for us so quickly with such a high quality lunch! Thank you!!

My office is in Dc close to the best sandwich place. This place is full around lunchtime people getting their big delicious salads and their amazing sandwich. My favorite thing to get from this place is the salad. I always get the spicy fish taco salad. This is indeed the best sandwich place got a very delicious food so if you work around the 14th St you must visit this place and you will thank me later.

I order lunches for my company and it can be a struggle to work with some places to ensure the order is right, the food quality is good, etc. I am always so blown away by the service, food quality, and kindness of the owner and staff here. This is a *must* stop for lunch if you are in the area or can order delivery!

Jason is very passionate about his sandwiches and team. The quality of the food is excellent and he prepared food for our large group of 57 students and 15 adults. Would definitely do business with again.

The Best Sandwich Place really has the best sandwiches in the area. Come in mostly for breakfast and everything is fresh and delicious. The service is great and everyone is very friendly. They even took my order and allowed me to dine before they officially opened for the day. I recommend any one try it if you are in the area.

A great lunch spot. The Reuben was delicious. They have all types of sandwiches, salads & even breakfast. The workers are nice, there are tables to enjoy your food, and it is clean. I would highly recommend!

A really solid sandwich! I figured this was a trap with the restaurant name, but this is the first time that I feel this name has been appropriately bestowed upon a place. The sandwich toppings were a little lacking due to supply chain issues, which was a bummer but not a deal breaker. I got the classic turkey sandwich with avocado and it was a very good sandwich. The ingredients were fresh, the sourdough was toasted perfectly, and the size was perfect for the price in DC. Overall, this was a great sandwich shop and I look forward to returning for some of the specialty sandwiches.

Casual spot with spacious and nice seating. Loved the veggie omelette sandwich. The server was really nice and flexible to make a custom sandwich! Will visit again.

I have not had good experiences here. I just found a hair in my "korean bbq" rice bowl. The meat is also not sourced well. There is another place that makes better quality meals nearby. There is a weird after taste here. My friend and I did a side by side comparison. Guess~
