Timgad Cafe is a local coffee shop with a limited food and pastry offering. They serve Compass coffee (a DC chain) and the pastries and food are in house. The prices are reasonable and the croissant was tasty. There is plenty of seating and the chill vibe is nice. Not a bad stop for coffee, an informal meeting or to work/study.

I met some friends here for lunch. My toasted sandwich was very good and the staff was very friendly. I already recommended that a colleague stop by when she was over that way for a meeting.

Strong, delicious coffee and muffins to die for...the interior has a pan African feel that is wonderful. I always feel like I'm traveling while I'm at Timgad. Proverbs on the wall, coffee art, African cloth adorning the tables. I'm glad to see they made it through covid. I make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in the area. They used to have a reward punch card. If they still do, get one. It's worth it. Is a 1 minute walk from Federal Triangle Metro.

I was looking for a bit to eat for lunch after the August 2023 DC Bookfest. After buying 6 books for a lil' over $30 (quite the deal), I decided to check out this restaurant. I looked at the Google reviews and liked their sandwiches 🥪. So I got two different ones: turkey and caprese. I wasn't a fan of the caprese (I hate pesto) but didn't know it was on the sandwich. The turkey sandwich was good. I'd buy it again 😃. I also bought a few snacks (chips to go with my sandwich, snack bar for eating another time) and the drink. Overall, next time I come to Book Fest I'll purchase food here. I feel like I got a lot for the money I spent - $30ish.

Stopped here during at day at the Museum of American History. The barista was fast and attentive. I had a delicious mocha in no time at all, and she offered me a plate and utensils for my coffee cake as soon as I went to sit down. There was comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, plus upbeat music! Highly recommend if you're looking for caffeine, snacks, and respite in an otherwise overwhelming area.

Kind fast customer service. Location is slightly tough to find, but there are small signs guiding you from the Main Street. Pictured medium Carmel latte was as expected 😊

The atmosphere is really cozy and comfy. The coffee is really amazing if won't get taste like that anywhere. The staff were also friendly and attentive. I would really like to recommend this cafe to you. The food was also delicious and service was great.

Fantastic, creamy lattes! This is such a cute little cafe in the Federal Triangle area. Brightly colored tablecloths and upbeat Caribbean style music adds to the vibe. They even have an acoustic guitar sitting out for customers to play!

Very friendly people. Quick and efficient. Bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich was very tasty. Daughter said the Iced Vanilla Chai Latte was the best.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves one because it is the best coffee shop in the area, by far. And the staff are so delightful. 100% recommend.

Easily, a fav coffee shop - espresso drinks are quite good - staff are exceptional ...North African flair provides character (get inspired by chalk board of sayings that inspire the day).

Nice atmosphere, amazing coffee, & kind baristas. I got the Café Timgad and it was phenomenal. So tasty in fact, I came back the very next day to have it again. 100% recommend this gem of a place!

Lovely little café with a cool international vibe. Props to whoever had the idea of serving coffee at a drinkable temperature rather than scalding hot, so you can actually drink it as soon as you get it.

Nice ambiance - I liked how the outside area was cooled. This was a great place to chill after a long day of being a tourist. We loved the iced chai and vanilla latte and the employees were very nice.

Great coffee shop! Just what we were looking for! An uncrowded spot for a good local cup of coffee. They have some pastries that are good also. Small spot located on a lower level and hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Awesome lattes

I stopped in yesterday morning with a colleague for a working coffee meeting. I was really thrown off by the rudeness of the person who took our order. She never smiled, was impatient, and spoke disrespectfully. This individual has been at this cafe since before the pandemic and I do not recall her being so unpleasant, especially to my colleague who was visiting the cafe for the first time. I felt bad at my colleague’s treatment. I enjoyed my visits here in the past and was pleased that it had reopened. Now, I’m not so keen as I was before. I’m inclined to support nearby alternatives.

This place was delicious! Small cozy atmosphere with outside seating as well. I had a roast beef sandwich (phenomenal), and a Timgad espresso with dulce de leche (very good!). Highly recommend if you are looking for a quick bite and good coffee.

Love the vibe. The coffee and got chocolate is great here. It is a little difficult to fin with the gps (I updated the location). Go down the stair and it will be on the right of that semicircle.

Super friendly staff. They were very communicative and attentive to my tastes, asking me what I prefer while making my drink. Will definitely come back.

Great little coffee shop with an intercultural flare. Liked the ice coffee on a record setting hot day in DC. It’s underground near the Metro, so don’t miss it!

Saw this place on a visit to D.C. and was super impressed! I got a strawberry smoothie, which was absolutely delicious. Everything tastes fresh and amazing. The store itself has a great environment and is clean. It even has free printing! Very much enjoyed my stop here.
