They had a very nice beach close to the camp. Their kitchen was in good condition and had a very fun pool.

Absolutely beautiful beach/ lookout walk… Lovely sunrise… I’m really glad I didn’t miss this on the way up the coast

Great walk, quite steep but good once you get to the top. If you keep going and don't stop it is about a 45kin walk to Turtle Lookout and Back. Beautiful on a clear day, heaps of Turtles and sea life. People at the shop are great too👍

Such a fabulous spot to see the iconic kangaroos and wallabies on the beach at sunrise. Get there before sunrise so you don’t miss it!

We stayed at Smalley's Beach for one night but it was so lovely you could easily stay a while. Only toilets available, no showers. Very spacious campsites and ours had a picnic table and path down to the beach. Beautiful view through the trees and we sat down on the sand to eat dinner and watch the tide rise. A really relaxing evening and we even spotted an echidna!

Simply a gorgeous place to visit. It's got to be on your must-see place in the Mackay area! Awesome anytime, but sunrise on the beach is fantastic 🌅

This place is amazing to go see the kangaroos at dawn! Just becarful doing the long hike as we didn't know the tide was in and we got to the end and had to walk all the way back!

What a beautiful place. Loads of natural beauty. We didn't coordinate our tidal times so was unable to walk to island so check. There is a shop at the caravan park and toilets nearby.

Went to see the kangaroos on the beach and was really disappointed to see a ranger with a bucket of pellets. I'd just stayed in the National Park where there were lots of signs about NOT feeding the wildlife. This is not a the natural experience I thought it would be and I was very uncomfortable.

Cape Hillsborough National tourist Park is a great place to set up camp and explore the region. There are walks to do, walk over to wedge island, pool, mini golf, movie night on Friday and Saturday, great amenities and plenty of wildlife to see. One of the most tree friendly parks around.

Stunning location with beautiful blue waters. We timed our visit for low tide so we could walk across the causeway to Wedge Island. Easy parking just outside the tourist park to access the starting point.

What a great park. Lovely pool. A "must see" is the kangaroos🦘🦘🦘 being fed on the beach at SUNRISE. Yes....SUNRISE. Even if you're not an early riser...yes 5.20am🙈 it is sooo worth it BUT be aware of the SANDFLIES. They can eat you alive as they did us. Ferocious indeed. SUGGESTION TO MANAGEMENT.... WARN people when they check in🙏🙏🙏

Had two fantastic days in the cabins at Cape Hillsborough. We enjoyed all the animals, from parrots to kangaroos roaming the campground. Recommend a stay here to everyone. We would like to especially thank Joseph and Linda for their help in arranging transportation back home. Without them this would not have been possible. So grateful!

Nice place to visit & stay over night to watch an epic sunrise. Pity Parks & Wildlife have removed the showers in the toilet block. You can't wash the sand off before you get back into your car.
