Try this place today. They have a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options. We tried the black bean and corn soup and it was delicious . We also tried the Farmers Harvest wrap, the sauce was really good and the ay Chihuahua bowl was also really good. To finish the night we have to try their famous vegan chocolate chip cookies and the Vegan double chocolate chip and let me tell you they didn't disappoint. I can tell this is a great option if you're looking for healthy, vegetarian or vegan food. Highly recommend. So if you're in the area don't hesitate to give it a try. Updated.....went again and try the Carolina Dreaming bowl and the black and blue wrap and both didn't disappointed. Lots of flavors in both dishes. Go and give them a try! PS don't forget to get your cookies.

I bought mango and coco babo tea and lychee babo tea. Mango and coco was better. In general it is not something you want to eat every day or every other day as reviewers said. It is too sweet to have every day. But in general good place to try if you want to try babo tea nearby.

Personally one of the best cafes I have ever visited. I came 30 minutes prior to them closing (didn't realize how early they closed on Sunday) and they no cookies in the display. I asked the cashier if they had anymore and she informed that they would have more in ten minutes. Not a problem at all as I knew how good their cookies are. Their cookies literally never miss. I always get the same two, Matcha Chocolate Chip and Cookies and Cream. What gets me is that they're VEGAN and taste way better Night Owl (No shade:) just being honest). Their iced lattes are amazing too. The staff are pretty good too. Would recommend this place if you need a picker upper for studying late nights or want to try good cookies! Have to try their variety of teas one day as well.

Glad to see Special Tea is up and running as it was before the pandemic. They even brought back the tea pots (which are just adorable). I absolutely love coming here and have been doing so for many many years. Their teas are a treat (Green Coconut Mango 💕) their boba is spectacular (leeche, passion fruit and taro) and the food is to die for. I’m not a vegetarian or vegan but I have had their menu items and I can’t say they disappoint. Definitely visit this place is you can.

Great spot for vegans! Extensive vegan menu and everything is clearly marked. So many teas and coffees to choose from too. Food and drink menus are imaginative and came out tasty. Cold brew was great. Quick and helpful service. Clean bathroom.

I go there basically every other day or week and always greeted with such kindness and always surprised by what drinks I’d try next or even the AMAZINGG food they have! Pls dont miss the chance to stop by and even try a vegan double chocolate chip cookie !

Definitely not the best boba tea store in miami. It's a good price but very very light on the tea. Thai tea tastes nothing like one. Cute place to hang out but if you want to a really good boba milk tea, go to mius

The first time I tried boba was from this place… the reason why I don’t give 5 stars is because if you want to add any flavor to make the drink more sweet you have to pay for it.. and even when paying for it it’s still not sweet enough compare to other boba tea places… still pretty good!

Fire place, immaculate vibes for studying, taking meetings, relaxing, enjoying good food, playing board games with friends. Feels like the ideal solo spot and hang out spot. The staff is super friendly and eager to help and create calm vibes. Highly recommend if you need to post up somewhere for a bit! They have a printer, wifi, outlets, calm seating everything you pretty much need 👏👍🙏

Great tea and food. Had 2 boba teas and they offer pots of tea (you get a kettle). I also had a matcha croissant, and the Coco-Curry bowl (it was delicious and only $8). They also serve you so you don't have to stand and wait. Great place to do work, but it's popular so it can get a little crowded.

Best bubble tea spot in Miami. The employees are incredibly nice and most of the time they remember your name. Which is important when making a customer feel welcome. They will gladly remake a drink if you don’t end up liking it. Also this spot is a great place to hang out with your friends and/study. But they are still closed for sitting in, due to COVID and remodeling! But amazing tea. I have been going to this shop for years ✨

The regular iced peach black boba tea is good. Just needs a little more boba. Associates are nice and polite. Make sure you have a mask and don't eat in the store.....just saw the signs

I am such a huge fan of Motto Tea, and so are all of my friends. The Mango in Kyoto has been the biggest hit in my office, and my coworkers crave it as much as I do. The cafe is beautifully organized and decorated, and feels cozy for a gal like me to get some work done when I don't feel like sitting at home or in my office space. Beyond all of that, however, the owner is one of the sweetest and most kind people I've met. When I came into the store today, she shared her passion and love for tea with me and told me about her and her brother's (co-owner) story and journey on opening up the shop. I was incredibly inspired.

The quality of the tea and the food is good, yet, very limited space and the service was disappointing. I ordered a salad and, normally, you may request to have it mixed for you. I did, yet, when served, it was not. When I inquired about it, the lady at the register advised that they are too busy and I could do it myself. It was quite rude, yet, I didn't escalate it at that point.

I have been ordering frequently lately and they have NEVER messed up an order. I always seem to have bad experiences with delivery, but they always get it right. They have great variety and the good is always delicious and fresh.

This spot was recommended to me a while back & since then have been hooked!😳 (esp. since there aren’t many good vegan options close by)😢 I absolutely love their TVP/bacon ranch wrap, broccoli-cheddar soup & vegan cookies! 🙊🥦🍪 Their sweet mint lemonade is also really good—not too sweet or too tart. Def worth your $$!! 🥗❤️

Food review: As a vegetarian, I think the curry bowl with TVP is the best food option. The first time I tried the curry bowl, it was served with way too much mozzarella cheese so now order without. I think the second best bowl is the Chihuahua bowl. Have also tried the pesto bowl with TVP and was disappointed with it- maybe the pesto panini is better than the pesto bowl, as others have recommended the panini. Something I just discovered is that vegan mozzarella and vegan cheddar cheeses are available and even the spicy mayo for the Chihuahua bowl can be made vegan. From now on though, I will just order the curry bowl- my favorite. More vegetarian/vegan options needed please. The food is tasty and healthy, while the the staff are friendly. The student discount is appreciated. The space is currently being expanded!

The coco curry panini was absolutely delicious. Great quality bread, and I really enjoyed the unique flavor combination. The olive you panini was kind of a letdown though. It's just olives, not actually tapenade. The lattes were good. The matcha chocolate chip cookie was fabulous! You never would've guessed that it was vegan. With each bite, the chocolate flavor comes through strongly, and then the matcha blossoms in your mouth shortly afterwards. Service was a little slow (probably due to lunch rush?), but there were also multiple issues with receiving our order. Getting the wrong order, getting an incomplete order, had to show receipt to prove we were missing items (fortunately we were dine in). The vibe is very much college hangout. Expect to see the few tables filled with people studying. So not a great choice to dine in with kids. Seating may also be limited as a result. We will definitely be back sometime to try more food and some of their tea!

I visited this location three times to try the boba tea since other places haven't really done it for me and decided to try three drinks during the course of three days after trying my first one, and I loved every single one (specially the vanilla chai). Great tea but exceptional service. One worker in particular was specially kind and helpful and I went back there to thank him but he was not working that night and I don't really remember his name. Regardless, this place was definitely a highlight during my trip and I'll def be coming back here when I visit again. 💞

I’ve been coming to Special Tea for years, since it opened. The atmosphere is great for studying, having meetings, a date, spending time with friends. Quiet, clean, and the service was wonderful. Food wise the Coco-Curry is absolutely addicting. So are the matcha chocolate chip cookies. I’m drooling just writing about them. The boba tea is so refreshing, and the tapioca pearls are the perfect texture. Not too chewy like in other boba spots. Great coffee and tea too. Highly recommend it.

Love the flavors, the attention, their commitment with the environment. The only but is the area is not fully renovated so it looks a bit messy. But the food and boba teas are exquisite!

Great food and a cozy study spot. I come here regularly as an FIU Student. The one thing I do have to say, though, is that there is not much seating. The days I come to study I try to get there early so I can get a good spot. The boba tea here is great and so are their sandwiches.

I visited for the first time while on vacation. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The drinks are delicious as well as all the baked goods. The boba is soft and chewy (as boba should be). A must go to whenever you are in the area. They got vegan options as well.

I visited this cafe recently, and I must say that I am deeply disappointed with the level of customer service I received. I have been a loyal customer of this establishment even before they expanded, and this experience left me questioning whether I would ever return. Upon entering, I was excited to find a cozy spot to work on my laptop, especially since both my laptop and cellphone were out of battery. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was quickly shattered by one of the servers who informed me that I couldn't sit at a table designated for two people unless I had a second guest with me. This was the first time such a restrictive policy was communicated to me, and it was disheartening to be treated in such a manner. To make matters worse, there was no one else waiting in line, and I was the sole customer seeking a table. Despite the availability of empty tables inside, the server insisted I sit outside, where there were no power outlets to charge my devices. As someone who relies on electronic devices for work, this decision was not only inconvenient but also impractical. I made a purchase, intending to support the cafe while I spent time there. I ordered a chocolate chip and a mango smoothie, hoping for a pleasant experience. However, the server's unwelcoming behavior overshadowed any positive aspects of my visit. Being literally kicked out after making a purchase was both humiliating and disrespectful. Treating loyal customers with such disregard is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the overall image of the business. I truly hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates their customer service policies and staff training. Until there are clear improvements in how patrons are treated, I regret to say that I won't be returning to this cafe. It's a shame to see how an establishment I once enjoyed has become so unwelcoming! I ended up taking a phone call in my car while charging my phone. Here's a better-phrased version of the situation: Update: When I arrived at the café, the staff pointed out that I should sit outside. I didn't notice the empty seat, or else I would have chosen another spot. Usually, when I sit at a table for four, someone comes over to sit on the other side or vice versa because they have a laptop. If you have a camera, you can check the conversation to verify what happened. Allow me to describe the interaction: I politely asked if I could sit at the table for two people since I wasn't waiting for anyone. The staff replied that I couldn't sit there and suggested I sit outside where they have more tables. I expressed disappointment, and they apologized, but they didn't offer any information about a charger station or other options. It's challenging for customers to know where all the outlets are, after all. I felt offended being asked to sit outside, and it didn't feel welcoming. She clearly y saw my backpack, and that I was on the phone with someone. I did even mentioned to the person on the phone: a server from this cafe told me to sit outside, since I don’t have anyone to seat with. Thank you for addressing that I’m not welcome to your establishment. Very courteous

I enjoy teas very much!! So, when my neighbor mentioned SpecialTEA I was like I have heard of it but never been. So we went and inside I thought it was cool because of the different teas in front of the register. So, I ordered a hot Chai tea latte with oat milk and their matcha chocolate chip cookie. I really enjoyed my drink. I also enjoyed my cookie as well. Ever since I went that first time, I have been going back ever since. I have tried many of their cookies and their other drinks like taro and their matcha. Sooo good!! I also have tried their earl grey iced tea and it is really good as well! Very fresh! They even have vegan options which I thought was nice. Their staff is always great and sweet. The merchandise that they even sell is really cool. I hope when Covid goes down and they finish with their construction, that I can go in with family or friends to do a game night there. I think it would be a great spot. They also serve food there. Their food would be definitely on my list to try!! I hope to go back very soon!

When it is actually opened (not during this COVID-19 time of hysteria), this establishment is shway. They have a fantastic selection of coffee & tea alongside great seating. One of the many reasons to go is that you can sit at a table or booth and play one of their board games at no extra cost!

The Thai iced tea frappe/smoothie was amazing. My wife loves the coffee and I appreciate the home like vibes I get from this place. Its home to a lot of college locals since its right in front of FIU but its always quiet. Its nice place to sit and study or play a board game they have near the couches.

This place makes the best Thai and Green Tea in Miami imo. I usually order it with whole milk, no boba, no ice and whipped cream. Would literally pay you guys to teach me how to make my tea tastes this good at home lol. Hope you guys can reopen as normal again. Thank you!

I love this cafe. I've been coming here for several years now and I have no complaints! It's amazing to see how much they've grown and evolved since I first started coming here. Thank you for sticking around all these years!

Super chill vibes. Is close to FIU, so there are students constantly coming and going. Went in around the afternoon and all the tables were being used. But I see that as a good thing. Growing business. Sat outside and had a fly problem but that's the plaza's fault for not getting rid of the bird problem. Curry was good and coffee was great.

SpecialTEA has never done me wrong in the years that I’ve been a patron. I’ve always loved their paninis and they were my go-to delivery meal. Today, one of our panino sandwiches that got delivered was made wrong. A quick call later, and they brought a new sandwich over, complete with an apology cookie. They truly care about their patrons, and are one of my favorite establishments in the community. I highly recommend giving them a try!

I used to come here as a student and now I still find myself going back sometimes. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a giant selection of teas. The sandwiches and wraps are worth a try too. Especially that farmers harvest. My only complaint is that it’s always really crowded but they’re currently working on an expansion! Keep up the good work. Really great staff too
