You must get the Croque breakfast dish. Oh my goodness-delicious! We are from out of town & we definitely will be back. The potatoes were so good. My son loved his burger. The service was outstanding. My friend got pancakes & they were huge. Great food.

Oh wow, what a fantastic restaurant. Best dinning experience we've had since we moved to Iowa. Had a lovely brunch with cocktails. The entire experience was made even better as we sat at the bar and watched the charming staff preparing meals. The chef de cuisine Matthew Prince and Jackie were so much fun to talk to as they showed us all the amazing dishes and ingredients making the restaurant so special. Worth the drive from Davenport. We'll be back. We did come back, this time for a fantastic dinner. Everything was so delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the delicious mushroom toast and scallops for my entree.

Good service and good vibes. I loved the fries so much. The bees knees drink is probably one of my most favorite drinks. Though, while the burger and crispy chicken sandwiches were good, the price tag wasn’t proportionate to flavor in my own personal opinion.

My wife and I were happy about every aspect of our lunch at Pullman. She enjoyed biscuits and gravy, while I relished a fried chicken sandwich and French fries. The coffee was delicious, too. The restaurant was attractive, clean, and noisy in a fun way. To top it off, Steven, who was our server as well as a manager, turned our lunch into a dining experience. We will return to the Pullman the next time we pass through Iowa City.

I love this place. It's a diner but make it fancy. Pullman is my go to brunch spot. The breakfast tacos are amazing. My kiddos love the chocolate chip pancakes. I mean the pancakes are really good. My husband would love if they brought back the macpullman sandwich though! The burgers, fries, fried chicken, side of greens...it's all really good. The cocktails are very well made but pretty bourbon oriented so not necessarily my favorite place to drink (but that's preferable and not a reflection of quality). Yes, this place is small but that makes it more intimate. If you have a chance, sit at the bar because it's so fun to watch the chefs work. As the sign says, eat here.

Great service, great coffee! We went for breakfast and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. Very cute place to eat. Small menu, average price for Iowa City.

Amazing place for some great chicken burgers! I took the spicy chicken burger and it was really delicious with the right amount of spice. The staff is very friendly and courteous! Good selection of drinks as well. Must go if you ate around in downtown Iowa City!

Update: We’ve been a couple of times in the last few months and both times have been a pretty big flop for me. My husband enjoyed the hot chili chicken sandwich quite a bit on the first visit this summer, so that’s why we went back. He didn’t like it quite as much the second time. The first time this summer, I asked for a recommendation, and the server gave me very generic “a lot of people order this” comments. I ordered what she “recommended” —something with steak on fries with a Worcestershire-heavy sauce. It was just okay and it was very expensive, because the steak was market price, quality stuff. We ended up spending over $60, and I super didn’t love my food. That was a bummer, but I went back hoping for a better experience. This time I got a burger, but it was SUPER RAW! With multiple things I wasn’t loving and limited time, I wasn’t about to ask for a new burger. That should never happen. The pic I posted shows the rawness at the edge of the burger, but the center was practically red. And you could feel the texture of raw hamburger in your mouth. I couldn’t eat it past about 2 bites. My hubby ate it, and thankfully didn’t get sick. And honestly—the burger was $16 and didn’t even come with fries or anything!! Crazy. They’re like $5 as a side! We also think the house dressing with dill is very odd. And the space inside is very cramped, which is fine if everything else is stellar, but unfortunately it wasn’t. Original review: We ate dinner on the patio, and honestly it was kind of a weird experience. The service was fine, but not great. The food was good, but not good enough for me and my foodie hubby to want to go back. A little overpriced for the quality of the plates we got. I’m not sad we went once, but now I’ve tried it—and that’s enough for me.

Curated menu that will leave your pallet satisfied 😌. The food, appetizers, & desserts are delicious and their cocktails are refreshing with fresh squeezed juices and housemade syrups.

I have been here so many times and I’ve NEVER been disappointed. The food is always amazing for any occasion. It’s the perfect in between spot and the breakfast and lunch/dinner menu are both flawless.

We went for lunch. We did have to wait to be seated, roughly 20 minutes. The food was good, hot, and fresh tasting. I like the atmosphere however the music was a bit loud. It was hard to carry on a conversation with the loud music and everyone else talking loud. Food is a bit pricey at $14 for a cheeseburger by itself and $4 for a side of fries. We spent $39 for two sandwiches, side of fries, and we had waters.

This place is always filled with joy and vibrance: such a welcoming experience for a traveler or visitor! You can definitely see why it is such a popular spot, usually there are long waits, even for lunch hours. Ordered the recommended breakfast tacos and it was SO GOOD. Everything from the scrambled eggs to the freshly roasted mojo pork was perfect in taste and presentation. It did not disappoint!

Clean and cozy atmosphere. Kind of reminds me of a train car. Classic exposed diner kitchen. Our server was so kind and attentive. I loved the chili chicken sandwich. The fries are crunchy and we like them that way. We tried the Louisiana wings they were full sized which is great but wasn’t what we expected, the flavor was strange.

My favorite breakfast, brunch, and lunch place in downtown Iowa City. It is a tiny place, but the food is worth it. When the weather is good, the option of sitting outside makes it even better. A little sad to see my personal favorite (Avo Toast) removed from the menu, but at least they still serve the pancakes which I like when wanting something sweet. Staff are always very friendly here, and they fixed mistakes with my order in a timely manner on the tare occasion that happens. Update: Tried some new dishes from the Sat & Sun Brunch menu… Smoked Salmon Croissant and the Breakfast Bowl. Both dishes were very flavorful and a change from the routine brunch dishes at most places.

I’ll start by saying the food was really good overall. It came out quickly, was hot, and had good flavor all around. We came in for lunch on a Friday and it was semi busy, most tables full. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and our water glasses were always full. The few things that bothered me was that the music was really loud. The couple next to us commented on it too. It was hard to have a conversation with my husband across the table without talking loudly. The second thing was the table next to us. They seemed to be friends of one of the severs and she stopped by a few times to talk with them. One of the guys that was in the booth next to me had his shoes off and feet crossed at one point, which makes my dining experience kind of icky feeling. Then he was laying down on the booth as the server was talking to him. We had a four person table, so I was able to sit away from him, otherwise he definitely would have been in my bubble. It was maybe a little pricey for a typical “diner,” but I would say this is a little more upscale. The chicken sandwich alone was $13 and fries were an additional $4, but they did have fresh ingredients, so I would maybe come back for a dinner and make it feel more worth my money.

This place was reasonably priced and did not have a wait on a Sunday around 11 am. I loved the pancake. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal, and mentioned the bacon was very good. We enjoyed our time here!

My wife and I ordered the burger with avocado, bacon jam, and chipotle mayo. The burger was cooked perfectly medium, with a soft brioche bun, and it was juicy! The service was friendly, and I never had an empty glass of water. The ambience was pleasant as well. My big qualm is for fries and two burgers + NO drinks + No Tip it was $47. That’s a hefty price tag IMO. I think there brunch is a better value for what you get and it’s delicious.

A small menu of upscale diner fare and craft cocktails served in a chic Pullman car style atmosphere make for an incredible experience. Reserved and adventurous palates alike will find the food delightful. The open kitchen behind the bar is a fun surprise, and all servers and chef/cooks were nothing but personable, friendly, and attentive. The kitchen fries are a *spectacular*, generous table share you're going to want more of. The open-faced tuna tartine is so well balanced, light, and still full of flavor. We enjoyed the breakfast fare as well. If in the mood for savory with a hit of sticky sweet bacon, I highly recommend the Glazy Susan with potatoes O'Brien. It's a hearty breakfast sandwich...add avocado for a little freshness. But the Breakfast Tacos were a sleeper hit we would definitely have over and over.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. The best Frisco sandwich we ever had. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can interact with the staff they are all great. We road 180 miles just to eat here and it was worth every mile.

My favorite breakfast spot!!! My husband and I treat ourselves to Pullman’s for breakfast once in a blue moon since it’s quite the drive for us. Fresh and flavorful food with excellent service and a great vibe. We recommend the breakfast tacos and biscuits and gravy.

No’ Burger is the best hamburger I ever had in my life. The place has a great atmosphere, sometimes there is a wait cause it’s kind of a small diner but well worth it. Every thing we’ve gotten here has been good, drinks and food. If they mess something up they prioritize replacing your order asap. Staff has all been friendly. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Pullman Bar & Grill! The food was great and the service was just as good. I recommend the Kitchen Fries, they are delicious! I called ahead and they got me right in on a Friday evening. Overall the service was very prompt and prices were fair. The restaurant is also in a fun area. I recommend giving them a try!

It's a nice place where you can get anything from breakfast, lunch and dinner to nice drinks. Really nice decor and atmosphere. We tried a few things and I feel like there's so much more interesting things to try. Pictured are breakfast tacos.
