I went here since 1999 around when I moved to Cedar Rapids. I’m grateful for the experiences this mosque has given me in my life. It’s a very diverse, open and supportive community. Anyone is welcomed into this mosque from all backgrounds if they want to see how Islam and Muslims are first hand. Spring dinners have been served to the open public for many years which is great community and cultural experience. This is a very special place and I hope it continues to give and receive the love and energy it deserves and the community needs.

I hope it be opened 24/7 to enable every Muslim pray at any time especially who is traveling

A nice place to visit and pray in Cedar Rapids, IA . Cedar Rapids is known of it's very nice welcoming Muslim community.

I didn't know what to expect I had been gifted a Koran 5 years ago and it saved my life and I would've converted then but most TV is Christian owned and the history Channel portrayed a very dark tradition that all Muslims do to their daughters and I want all daughters this isn't true thank God so I go to my first prayer and met someone who gave me his phone number he stayed on the phone with me for over an hour and explained almost everything I wanted to know I would've and have never found this at any Christian church of any denomination which I was raised

This congregation was formed about a hundred years ago by immigrants to the area. Today, their descendants carry on the proud traditions of their forefathers. The people are very friendly, and visitors are welcome. The present congregation is a mix of local people, as well as people from all over the world. The imam is an educated and enlightened man. People of all ages attend the services and programs here. Having lived in many places and attended many mosques, I can say that i have seen places that catered more to a certain nationality or group. I have never felt like an outsider here. This comfortable place is a center for families and individuals alike, from all walks of life. I think it's unusual in America to find a mosque whose members have been here for many generations, and have deep roots in the community. This is reflected in the warmth and friendliness of the welcome you get when you visit. You should stop by! You will probably run into someone you know!

Great community

Big enough mosque to pray comfortably. Good community meeting place for Muslims especially on Fridays. One suggestion is to host other prayers there beside Friday prayer, otherwise very nice and clean and good environment.

What is especial for this 27 of ramazan

Alhamdulilah, great people and community. Sometimes I find the door locked and no one attending. That's my only issue.
