We were heading home and looking for some quick bites. The empanadas were fresh out of the kitchen, delicious, and not greasy. Our favorites were the pernil and the pastelon. The relleno de pappas were wonderful! The stuffing inside everything was filled to the brim; there wasn't a big void inside the food.

$22 gets you 4 empanadas and 2 sodas at this place. I understand adjustments have to be made to combat inflation, but this is ridiculous especially when you consider that they weren't even that good. Obw 5-6 people behind the counter and no one to wipe down dirty tables? Smh

These empanadas are so delicious. We got the philly cheese steak, chicken and cheese, beef and cheese flavors. They were all good. It's a good spot for a quick take out lunch. Lots of parking.

I wasnt ware that a place so good were in my neck of the woods so i recently tried the island-inspired Cuban sandwiches at "Island Empanadas," located in Ronkonkoma and they were absolutely delightful! The extra cheese and sweet plantains added a perfect touch. I highly recommend anyone to come and savor these delicious flavors.

Very fresh and tasty empanadas. The mini loaded potato balls are my favorite! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place to eat.

I've been coming to this place for years and always telling other to come here. I have yet to be disappointed! Dinner and lunch specials are great deals! My favorite empanadas are the spicy cheese, chicken bacon ranch and the Oreo empanada. I can't recommend this place enough!

It was my vegan daughter who suggested this place. I would have liked it more if they were freshly made.

Really disappointed as a puerto rican, plantains seemed to be those that came on a box you can find at any supermarket. Sorry if I mistake, but for me they just tasted like those. Empanadas doesn't taste like the ones you can get in Puerto Rico or some places around the city. I think that for someone that isn't familiarized with puerto rican food or haven't tasted it in other places, this quality could be something that impresses them, but not for me. I hope this point of view can improve the way puerto rican food is represented and also the quality.

The 6 mixs empanada was good but the Fiesta Fries it was plain needed a sauce.. the extra sauce I got 4 red spicy it ok little spicy but jello kinds like and the 2 green sauce was painful just parsley n water no taste.

The food is pretty good. One of the few places that get the Cuban sandwich right. The recent addition of Yuca fries is a delicious idea. I only wish the atmosphere didn't feel like a chain restaurant.

The pernil is always delicious and well seasoned! Wish the arroz con gandules portion was more until I actually finish the meal and realize how full I feel! But still wish it were slightly more. My fav empanada is the pastelon! Happy I stopped in after a long day for some me time and comfort food!!

Very good I like the food but it's expensive. I do love the cheese empanadas and the plantains a lot! They're nice people.

For a snack this place is aight ill attend again but not my first choice for empanadas. It's an I. And out joint. Cuban empanda I recommend 👌

I ordered 10 or so empenadas of different types. Every single one burnt to a crisp. The worst empenadas I've ever had. Tried a second time, just to give a fair shot, abs again burnt. It's like eating a flaky hockey puck.

Empanadas are a delicacy. Especially this place which is a national treasure. Mac and Cheese empanadas are the best thing on Gods green Earth.

Got a nice greeting when I walked through the door , staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the pulled pork meal and added a Chipotle empanada to my order. Everything was hot, fresh , and delicious. My Empanada had just the right amount of " heat " to it. Store was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend the restaurant.

you simply cannot beat the food and the price. they make everything fresh yet it comes out quickly. staff is always full of smiles. please just put more island empanadas everywhere ❤️

I went to a fair last night and their truck was there so I decided to give it a try. I am pescatarian and asked them if they fry their veggie empanada in the same oil as the beef and chicken. They assured me that it is cooked separately. After eating it i notice that my stomach starts to feel a little funny. I wake up the next day and have an upset stomach and constantly having to use the bathroom.
