So
I
went
to
renew
my
membership
today
only
to
find
out
that
the
price
had
been
raised
again
(from
90
-
99
in
the
3
months
since
I
last
joined)
So
I
asked
the
employee
behind
the
desk
what
had
changed
to
have
you
raise
the
price
again?
He
informed
me
that
the
membership
is
now
for
gym
and
pool.
Now,
I
have
been
a
member
for
a
good
while
and
never
once
have
I
ever
used
or
wanted
to
use
the
pool.
So
I
expressed
this
to
the
member
of
staff
who
just
reiterated
the
pool
being
included
again...
I
just
don't
understand
how
you
can
expect
people
who
have
zero
interest
in
your
pool
to
pay
for
it
when
they
just
don't
want
it.
So
I
was
ready
with
my
€90
to
join
again,
but,
in
my
opinion,
with
the
quality
of
the
equipment
and
the
sheer
lack
of
both
space
and
equipment
or
decent
ventilation,
the
€90
membership
fee
was
overpriced.
But,
no,
instead
of
paying
my
money,
I
drew
the
line
there
because
you
have
raised
the
price
but
not
the
quality
of
the
service
provided.
I
just
feel
at
this
stage,
with
your
prices
getting
so
expensive,
that
you
should
hear
some
examples
of
the
downsides
to
the
gym
to
consider
before
you
raise
the
prices
any
higher.
1)
None
of
the
staff
will
keep
an
eye
on
people
lifting.
I've
seen
many
people
in
there
attempting
deadlifts
and
certainly
straining
their
lower
backs
while
doing
so.
90
quid
should
at
least
get
you
some
kind
of
guidance
so
you
don't
injure
yourself..
2)
The
common
courtesy
to
wipe
a
bench
or
equipment
after
you
have
sweat
all
over
it
is
lost
there.
None
of
the
staff
will
enforce
this
and
I
don't
think
it
falls
within
health
and
safety
regulations,
but
I
could
be
wrong
about
that.
It's
still
disgusting.
3)
the
lack
of
equipment
is
phenomenal,
one
squat
rack
and
a
Smyth
machine
to
do
an
entire
gym
for
bench
pressing,
squatting,
deadlifting.
I
have
had
to
rearrange
my
entire
workout
while
being
just
one
of
two
people
present
at
the
gym
on
more
than
one
occasion.
That's
not
only
infuriating,
but
needless.
One
Olympic
style
bar
for
lifting,
the
others
are
like
argos
bought
rusty
old
weight
plates
and
cheap
screw
bars.
That's
just
a
few
of
the
issues
with
the
weights
area.
There
are
many
many
more.
But
again,
you
get
away
with
so
much
being
a
discount
gym
at
discount
prices.
Makes
sense,
right?
Only
now
it's
the
same
mediocre
at
best
set
up,
only
it's
more
expensive.
Again.
For
no
good
reason.
I
don't
think
I'm
being
scathing
or
harsh
here.
But
if
you
are
going
to
raise
those
prices
again,
I
suggest
you
open
your
eyes
to
the
current
problems
and
indeed,
the
dangers
that
are
very
much
present
in
your
establishment.
It's
a
real
shame,
I
had,
prior
to
joining
club
vitae
in
the
Maldron,
been
a
member
of
club
vitae
in
the
clarion
hotel.
And
that
was
a
gym
worth
its
fees.
Real
professionals
on
hand
to
stop
and
correct
someone
if
they
were
to
use
poor
form
or
lift
too
heavy.
Nice
showers,
appropriate
space
and
equipment.
Not
to
mention
a
smile
on
their
faces
while
dealing
with
customers.
