In case you have the option and do not wanna ruin your holidays , do not book this place. If I had an options I wouldn't choose this hotel ever. It is highly recommended not to go to this place especially if you are a family and compromise the safety of your family. Check the replies to the least rated comments and you'll understand how they respond to their customers. The owner of this hotel literally shouted at us for calling the hotel to fix the room heater which wasn't working (And the room heater failed 4 times during our stay). If the hotel staff wanted to convey something to the guests, they can do it politely. If the guest calls hotel staff for any help, they can respond to them in a polite way and with kindness, it doesn't cost a thing. Edit: The response to this comments seems to be blaming whole culture based on stereo-typing, this is totally irresponsible. We always spoke to everyone associated with the hotel with a lot of kindness and respect and not one instance of being rude to anyone.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. The staff was amazing so friendly and helpful. They even picked us up from the train station late at night. The breakfast was cooked to order so very fresh. There was 8 of us in a two bedroom apartment. Large sitting room and kitchen. We will definitely stay here again.

Well, it is perhaps not so bad in overall, may be the price is reasonable to the quality, but I am afraid the biggest problem is in failing in basics: firstly, our family room was totally opposite to cozy and stylish, black and white cold design, not Irish traditional atmosphere at all. Secondly, the breakfast. I believe the rooms and breakfast should be the flagship of every hotel, here it was not good. Not available menu items, old and expired food... I hope it was just rare one case.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. Everyone was so kind and nice to us, which made the experience even better. The room was also really good, with a nice view of the sea. We definitely want to come back in the future!

4 of us stayed in the Big Suite for over 7 days in Jul'2022. Excellent location overlooking the beautiful city of Cobh. The service is what's best about the hotel, particularly Kevin who was always available to assist and ensure our stay was pleasant. Recommended especially for families visiting Cobh.

I would like to highlight how spectacular the bella vista hotel was to us! We stayed here for awhile & have met the most kind, caring, friendly staff! They went above & beyond for us… we were met every morning with a warm smile the suite we stayed in was like a home away from home, top of the range interior, living room with large tv & high speed wifi connection, private balcony off our kitchen with a stunning water view which i also experienced beautiful morning sunrises & evening sunsets, stunning bathroom with large shower & two very big bedrooms with stunning sliderobes for storage, The kitchen had everything for our cooking facilities large fridge, kettle, toaster, hob oven etc… The house keeping service had great high standards the ladies left our suite beautifully clean & had such a pleasant manor! We will definitely miss been here our experience was like no other we would happily return again! zero faults in this hotel 100% worth a visit. πŸ©πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

The Bella Vista hotel is a decently nice hotel stay with a nice view of the water and local cathedral. The one critique I would give the hotel is that when it's open the whole hotel tends to smell a bit like the Chinese restaurant at the location which I think would benefit from a restaurant door to keep things contained. The service here is great with very friendly people. The location does not have an elevator which is probably due to the age of the hotel, but they were very quick to offer to carry our luggage upstairs for us & did so. The hotel bar is very nice & while smaller than some elsewhere, we really enjoyed the little "outcove" room as it felt very quaint and nice while having a pint! The location as mentioned does give a great view, but the walkability may seem a bit much as the hills are very steep and going into town is easy downhill you will have to go back up hill. It's not impossible and if you take your time it's a nice stroll with nice views we found. The hotel does not have air conditioning which may be a bit much for some, but in November we were able to open up the windows on the high floor we were on and get some nice cool air overnight so it wasn't really an issue for us.

LOVED staying here!! They offer laundry services which was perfect because we packed light for our trip. The man working at the front desk was so nice and gave us so many great suggestions for our short time in Cobh. The location was perfect to walk to a local pub and breakfast the next morning was fabulous. Our room was modern and clean, zero complaints!

Stayed here last night (5/26) while in the area on our Ireland road trip. Check in was very quick and easy, and the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly. He showed us to our room, which was a large room that looked to have been recently renovated. The room was large, comfortable, had a couch and large TV. The bathroom was large and had a great shower. The room had power outlets all over which made charging phones/tablets/battery chargers easy. The hotel also had a restaurant on site, but we didn't eat there since we were only in town for one night. Great stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area.

I stayed at the Bella vista hotel for a good period of time and honestly I cannot describe in detail how warm and welcoming my stay was. To begin with, the location of the hotel is perfect and the view is magnificent, the room was very comfortable and extremely clean, warm and very spacious, the wifi connection was perfect, TV, kettle, a large and comfortable bed, the room was very well equipped , and the best of all with a stunning view. Breakfast with a wide variety of options and is very tasty. It was Christmas 2022 and the hotel was magically decorated, the lights and the fireplace left my one year old daughter always amazed and happy. The housekeeping service left the room magnificently organized and clean even after a small hurricane turned the room upside down and last but not least, the staff at the hotel bela vista was always able to help and in fact helped me a lot whenever I needed. The manager Fred is very friendly, in a good mood, and willing to help, and in particular Mr. Kevin, his concern for the well-being of guests is simply impeccable, always very gentle and caring. I could not fail to recommend this hotel for the incredible experience that my daughter and I had. It will always be my choice when we go to Cobh.

Apartment was very nice, clean and well maintained. Centrally located in Cobh...short train or bus ride to Cork. The hotel service was excellent; helpful and assisting! The views from the hotel and the apartment were magnificent!

We are just back from a 3 night stay in the Bella vista hotel and all I can say is wow it’s hard to believe it’s a 3 star . We stayed in the family room which was lovely and modern, extremely spacious and comfortable, 100% clean and it had a big tv with Netflix and Disney plus and lots of other apps on it . The food was delicious with a freshly cooked breakfast each morning along with a choice of cereals, fruits , juices and freshly baked scones , croissants and brown bread . The location was just perfect within walking distance to everything and looking down on the cathedral and the sea . Last but not least the staff were just fabulous, so friendly and chatty and helpful in any way they could . All in all a fantastic hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stayed as part of wedding party, Kevin and his staff couldn't do enough for us, went above and beyond for anything we needed, we thought we needed or they realised we needed. loved every minute of Cobh and they even organised the weather. I can't recommend this place highly enough treated like family from the minute we stepped inside nothing was too much, people make places and Cobh is richer for the team that is here.

The hotel is well positioned in Cobh and have a nice view of both the harbour and the church. I booked a self catering apartment for 11 people. There was great communication prior to our visit with hotel staff reaching out for both the deposit and final payment. When an issue arose with my initial booking, the hotel staff contacted me just before I arrived to ensure I wasn't surprised and provided a work around that what probably more ideal than my initial booking. Had a great breakfast one of the mornings, and there is the option for guests to use an on-site Chinese restaurant and bar. Only thing that I mention is that if you are seeking to use the self-catering facilities, there wasn't as many of the items you'd usually need. For example, there were no tea towels. In all a great place and I'd definitely stay there again.
