Went to see an artist's work on display and for sale. Great location and as an older American I felt very welcomed and very comfortable with the university crowd.

On Sunday early afternoon 16/4/23, my brother was refused service at the bar, the barmaid said he had too much to drink, he "truthfully" told her he didn't have anything to drink yet, she didn't believe him. I went up to the barmaid to explain that he had medical incident when he was a child, and he had tubes down his throat for 3 months which permanently damaged his vocal cords, he also has problems with his balance, but instead of getting an apology, her response was - "I don't have time for this!" The place was not busy and there were four staff working behind the bar. She said my brother was rude, which is absurd, he is a very honest, gentle type of person, and he told us what was said. We were all very disappointed as my adult kids and friends are frequent patrons of The Roundy, and I also enjoy it, including the comedy. This was extremely badly handled, we would have been satisfied with an apology, but the rudeness of the barmaid left us no choice but to leave.

The Roundy is one of Cork's famous pubs. This place is an icon in Cork City. The bar has a great atmosphere and the staff are very attentive! It is a uniquely shaped building with curved windows and leather couches that hug the curved interior wall that lend themselves to the "Roundy's" name. Its a great bar to have a drink with friends, be it for a quiet night or a place to start your night out. The music is played at the right level as it’s not overwhelmingly loud to the point where you can’t have a good conversation and hangout. There is a wide outdoor seating area to enjoy the outside during dry and warmer days and there is two level to the bar with plenty of room indoors. The bar has an upstairs area which offers live music. One time, I was at the Roundy with 3 friends and the bar man suggested to us to go upstairs and grab a table before the Jazz Festival started. It really made our nigth being able to sit down and instead of walking from pub to pub. We were there too early for that to start, and couldn’t get in, so I can’t comment on that aspect of the venue The bar can be a bit overcrowded at times but I highly recommend stoping by and checking this unique.

The Roundy is a uniquely shaped building with awesome window views of what’s going on out in the wild and crazy streets of Cork (OK, I kid - it’s really not that wild and crazy in Cork - but the views from street level are great). Not only is it a good place to enjoy a pint, but it’s also a good location for a cup of coffee and chilling with friends during the day (or late into the evening). It really seems more like a comfortable lounge than a bar. Nice leather couches circle the walls with plenty of table space to hang out and converse with groups. Cool Mo-Town style music from the 60’s is piped in over the speakers, but it’s not overwhelmingly loud as to where you can’t have a good conversation and hangout. They have an upstairs area that offers live music or comedy on a rotating basis. We were there too early for that to start, and couldn’t get in, so I can’t comment on that aspect of the venue. Five stars for this place if we didn’t have to walk through the crowd of smokers on the sidewalk patio before entering the front door. Minus half a star for that, so this is actually a 4.5 star joint. Love it, and really enjoyed it! If I had to describe this place in one word, it would be "CHILL".

This place is an icon in the city of Cork. It closed for a bit during the pandemic but It is open now and it has a wide outdoor space if you prefer sitting outside during dry and warmer days. I usually go for a break with friends in the weekend. It may be a bit overcrowded sometimes, in the weekends

Three of us popped in today for some drinks. After standing at the bar while 2 people got served before us even after getting to the bar after us, I popped my hand up to ask if maybe we’d get served next as the barmaid went on to the next person who was after us, and was told by what appeared to be some sort of under qualified bar manager wan that we could always go somewhere else. So we did. Won’t go back, and to the sour faced wan that said that, maybe stop standing around like a spare part holding up the wall, and do some serving yourself, maybe then that situation wouldn’t arise. Can’t recommend, there’s at least 30 other bars in Cork City with a better vibe, better service and better staff! Avoid!

Food is just lovely toasties. Staff are great and always welcome me by name. Reasonable drink prices and some specials. Great coffee & speciality teas in muslin bags. Cosmopolitan Irish, multi national and lgbt clientele. A wonderful mix of all ages. A small business to be supported. Thank you to Jack, Kevin, Sonya and all of the staff for always having my back. Me being a mature solo lgbt woman. Very safe space. 👌🏿 💚

It was my first time at the Roundy 😊. I came for the stand up show and then enjoy the roundy's vibe. For sure I've spent an amazing night in this bar !! They've a great beer variety. But mostly people are fantastic and the staff really friendly.

Possibly the best place in cork to meet young people. They have very comfortable seats inside and a lot of tables outside, as well. Even at busy times, you rarely have to wait to order a drink. I recommend this place.

The Roundy is a wonderfully casual and welcoming spot. When center Cork gets chaotic on an evening, we've taken to stopping in between stops. Haven't tried the limited snacks menu, but good range of beer/wine/cocktails, and just a great crowd.

A very cute little bar. Definitely the sort of place you'd be happy to sit and read the paper during the day and finish the evening off with a good round of pints. The food options are three different toasties! But they have a savage selection of drink

Great location to stop and have a drink while walking around Cork, had my first Irish coffee here and it didn't disappoint 😉 something else part of the charm, it is a little difficult to find the way to get to the front door - as we did, and at least 4 other parties while we were there 😄

Great spot for a night out. Great atmosphere and the staff are sound. Music downstairs is great and there's a club upstairs that has bands and Djs. Drinks aren't too expensive and service is very fast. Would definitely recommend it for a few pints on your night out.

Lovely staff, great drinks and fabulous location. It's especially nice to sit outside with friends and watch the world go by on a sunny day.

Inside and out The Roundy is a hip, easy going pub. While their pint selection is lacking, they make up for it in atmosphere and service.

👍👍 Awesome place to grab a bite to eat and have a nice drink or three in downtown Cork. I had the fish and chips and the wife had the lamb stew...they were both perfect. Service was first rate and I'd highly recommend heading to the bar for a talk with the experts on a food whiskey choice! You cant...

👍 Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful.
