Hard to find, down a small alleyway, but so worth searching out. No food is served, just Irish stouts and whiskeys. Slightly shabby. If you want the real thing, this is it. If you want a nice, bang on trend gastro pub, do not go here. Trust me when I say you can't get anymore traditional than this.

Definitely worth finding and checking out. Authentic Cork pub with some great pints. Had a special release seasonal Rising Sons brew and it was spectacular. Note-can get very busy on the weekends. Try weekday if possible.

Right outside the English market, ordered a coffee to go with my hotdog. Interesting pub with lovely street art.

One of the finest Irish pubs I've ever experienced it does not have a television. No sport, no gambling all talk, music, experience and Beamish on tap

A pokey little bar down a narrow lane, this has been a favourite pub for decades. Good beer, great music, nice atmosphere... highly recommended.

A little hard to find but definitely worth it, another one of those traditional Irish pubs, dark but cosy inside, pints reasonably priced as well

Must go here when in Cork, great cozy pub with alley to hang out in when dry weather. Classic feel, mixed crowd. Perfectly tucked away.

Popped in for a pint - stayed for 4. Great music at a pleasant background volume, met some friendly locals and bar staff were great. This place has a good vibe.

One of great bars in Cork and one of oldest. Located in a lane off English Market. Originally was a pub for people delivered meat to market, hence the name. Recommended

A real pub in core center of Cork. Relaxed. Not glitsy or loud but not exciting. Read a newspaper. Have a chat. Great Mural by Anthony Ruby on the long wall going in. I've no idea of food...peanuts and crisps?

My favourite pub in the city great history and atmosphere. We miss Ruth behind the Bar but with wall paper makes up for it.

One of my favorite pubs in Cork City. Small, cozy, fast service, fantastic pints poured. The crowd is a mixture of locals and tourists. Perfect spot to go to after shopping at the English Market for one or ten!

quaint pub on mutton Lane, the historic alley. the mural running the length of the lane seem to have some Mexican influence

Traditional Irish pub in the centre of the city has lots of selection of beers, wine, and spirits. It's has outdoor seating for a warm day or smokers, but it's a small ally way, so it's hard to get into, especially when busy kegs are also sorted here making it harder to walk buy But all in all, a good pub to visit whileyou'rer in Cork good beer 🍺

FYI Google thinks this place is smaller than it really is… we went on a busy night after the races, and there was still plenty of opportunity to snag a table inside or out for a few pints. Loved the array of local beer offerings. Besmish is the way to go, but it’s nice to have some variety to choose from. Staff was quick, attentive & friendly. Love that dogs are welcome here as well. Makes for even more entertainment for sure! One thing to note is the toilets are up a flight of stairs, so accessibility is a little limited there.

Fantastic little gem in Cork City. Tiny little place hidden down a lane but with an authentic vibe, great atmosphere and lovely Beamish and Murphys.

Very cozy pub. Staff is friendly and the little alley where you can sit, drink, and look at the mural is something to remember!

One of the best pubs I've visited in Cork city yet. Handy for the English market too if you need to slip out to the butcher in between pints.

Looking for a good tastey pint in a comfortable traditional pub? There's not too many left in Cork, but this cozy little gem is one of them & there even space for a smoke in the alley. Great music too.

Was here last Sunday ,had been a few years since i called in ,it hasnt changed a bit ,kinda small inside ,old fashioned ,dark but lovely, there was a good crowd ,all socially distancing ,so we sat outside in the ally which was even nicer, big heaters ,great drawings on the walls 😊

Mutton Lane Inn has been on my list for a number of years and I finally made it to their premises on the weekend. It did not dissapoint and I will definitely be coming back! For a well known bar you have to seek it out a little as it is down an alley off of Patrick's Street. The staff are very friendly, chatty and attentive! The bar is a bit small on the inside but it has an authentic feel to it as its old fashioned and dark and I feel this adds to it! There is seating outside in the alleyway which is brighter and there is some great drawings on the walls pf the alley to look at! They have a great pint of Guinness and there are loads of locally-brewed ales, lagers and stouts to choose from, particularly a selection from the Rising Sons Brewery! Its a very busy bar at the weekend when we visited, might be nice to take a mid-week trip to see what its like in the future! I highly recommend dropping by Mutton Lane Inn for a drink and a chat!

A little gem tucked away down a lane way off Patrick's St. Great pint and loads of locally-brewed ales, lagers and stouts to choose from. A must visit in Cark.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Awesome place to grab a bite to eat and have a nice drink or three in downtown Cork. I had the fish and chips and the wife had the lamb stew...they were both perfect. πŸ‘ Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful.
