I don't like leaving bad reviews but I couldn't get over just how bad the service was, here. The staff were rude to several in our party. Took wrong orders and accused my friends of screwing up their order. They were slow and uninterested in general and often rude. The pile of dirty glasses just kept growing on the bar with none of them taking the initiative to get them cleaned. We were only there as it was so close to our hotel. Not a bad bar, and I can see many had a much better experience but the night we were here there was no friendliness or even politeness from any of the 3 the staff.

This is my regular bar. I'm here most nights of the week for a nightcap but I'm also here during the day for their excellent coffee. The staff are simply amazing. They're polite, friendly and take care of their customers. There's live music every weekend and they participate in a lot of public events (just recently, Soulfest).

We came to visit and basically the staff discrimination at its highest told us we had to leave after ordering our cofees basically to leave at 8pm because my partner and his disabilitys haf to wear tracksuit pants with no harm intended... but I bet they didn't say the same to the travelling community.... across from us. Coffees were cold and 5euro each. The other coffee was 6.50 Irish cofee and shocking wasn't made right was only luke warm, never going there again...

Was in here for the Jazz festival this past weekend and I would give 0 stars if I could. I had a horrible experience here and the door staff/security leave a lot to be desired. I had arrived with a group of friends and within 5 minutes of entering I was very rudely asked to leave by one of the security staff who was quite ignorant as well. He accused me of being too drunk which is quite funny considering I don't drink and never have. I will not be returning.

Very obnoxious male refused entrance to a mother and special needs son today as he was wearing a tracksuit. This male employee needs to polish up on his customer service. Perhaps his employer should consider this male employee’s position.

Absolutely fantastic experience. My partner and I stopped off here whilst doing Christmas shopping. All the bar staff (2guys and 1 girl) greeted us like old friends. They were approachable, jovial and prompt with their service. I asked if they would show a football match on the TV, which they agreed, then started having a laugh over the team I followed - this type of banter is sadly missing from Irish bars today We will return, time and time again

Didn't eat so can't comment on food. Great selection of beers and spirits. Great live band. Lovely place but found prices a little bit higher than other places

It's a great place to immerse yourself in Irish culture, there's plenty of beer to choose from and very polite staff.

Stopped by for a couple of pints while in town! A proper pub with a relaxed atmosphere! A good place to chat with other customers, if that's your thing, and there are some nice nooks if you want somewhere quiet!

I've never used this phrase before but the Beamish "is to die for". 1 intentional pint that was sunk without even noticing due to the unexpected smooth (but not too smooth) nature.... the 2nd and third just to make sure I wasn't mistaken by the first... Truly a joy along with the relaxed cosy friendly nature of this hidden gem (in plain sight) on a cold wet winter evening Had to forcibly remove myself to catch my bus (",)

It is away from the noisier city centre. Typically filled with an elder crowd and I quite like how calm the atmosphere always is in there. Good vibes. I keep returning here for the blues music bands that they keep bringing in and they have always been swinging good. On the last visit I also decided to grab a quick bite. They were sold out on their Wings of Fire, but their chef recommended a caramel sriracha chicken wings. We gobbled it up so quickly, I completely forgot to take a picture. It was crunchy and juicy at the same time. It is meant as a side dish with portions for 1 person, but is, of course, tastier when you share :)

We go to cork every year for the past 5ish years. First time to go into the poor relation pub. The food is top notch.. burgers are Yay! Burger which have been the best burger in cork by far. We went back later in the night to listen to a trad band. The atmosphere is just amazing. Best pub we have been to in cork for 5 years.

Currently under a new manageress with the Worst Power Tripping attitude you will experience. One or 2 staff follow her rudeness. Maybe her 1st job..? Several have left this establishment over one of the worst power trippers in the trade. How long has she been there..? Great Bar for many years though and owned by a Nice Guy.

They pour a great pint here. The burgers and fries at the attached kitchen are outstanding! Great place for watching football or music bingo.

Stopped on the way to a sellout game in thr Pairc. Place ran out of cider and Heineken, and the poor staff that were there were slammed with only 3 on.

👍👍 Awesome place to grab a bite to eat and have a nice drink or three in downtown Cork. I had the fish and chips and the wife had the lamb stew...they were both perfect. Service was first rate and I'd highly recommend heading to the bar for a talk with the experts on a food whiskey choice! You cant...

👍 Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and there were actually a number of beers that I have not seen elsewhere in the Cork area. I would not say this is a must do if visiting from abroad, b...
