Wow wow wow, this was by far the best roast beef dinner we ever ate. The staff from the guy that brought us to our table, to the girls that served us our dinner and drinks were so friendly, chatty and welcoming and the food was amazing, melt in you're mouth. Well worth booking a meal here with friends, family or work mates.

Went for breakfast with a friend on Sunday morning. Everything was lovely we both got a build your own breakfast. It was very busy however our waitress was brilliant. Donal the owner was also great and came over to chat with us as we were leaving. Highly recommend

Nice place for food in general. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. It's a great place to grab a really well prepared meal any time of the day. The night life scene in this bar is good as well with a lively crowd during the weekends. The staff are friendly and when in Douglas, this is my preferred watering hole.

The inside of the store is quiet and there are plenty of seats available. The staff was very kind and the food was very delicious. If you want to eat food with beer, I recommend you to go here.

Will NEVER darken the door again.... We ate here as a family party of ten on the October Bank Holiday Sunday. Our booking was for 4.15. We were seated and ordered our drinks straight away followed by our food 10 minutes later. At 5.30 there was still no sign of our food, so it was brought to the attention of Donal (the proprietor).. He aggressively dismissed our complaint with a comment "it's a busy Sunday, you're going to be waiting" as he walked away. An acknowledgement of the extended wait time would have sufficed. Our food was eventually served 1 hour and 10 minutes after ordering.. When it came to paying the bill... It was again mentioned how offended we were by Donal's dismissive attitude and he replied with the comment "you don't need me and I don't need you". The pure and utter arrogance of Donal ruined what should have been a lovely family meal. We were all in agreement we will never again spend a cent in his establishment... Especially given that "he doesn't need customers". Just going off the other Google reviews this clearly isn't the first time he has treated his customers with the disrespect he treated our party with. If you are looking for a place to go in Douglas with amazing food and great atmosphere I could not recommend Barry's enough. Avoid this place at all costs.....overpriced and arrogant owner

Had the O’Sullivan’s Irish breakfast, well worth it! We got 2 Irish breakfasts and an orange juice and Americano for €28. 10/10 will be back again!

Had a large portion of the tempura goats cheese salad with walnuts and black pudding. Got a side of cheesy garlic fries. Friend got the BBQ beef salad and side of fries. The place is lovely, the staff are friendly! Would highly recommend! Will be back.

Family brunch on a Sunday morning. Busy place, lots of people meeting and having fun. Really nice atmosphere. All the staff were really welcoming and attentive. Between us, we ordered all the usual brunch things.. Full Irish, Eggs Benedict, Pancakes, Bacon Butty. Everything was fresh and tasty. And good coffee too. And only Barry's tea for the tea drinkers (that's a good thing!) Parking can be hard to find in the area but the is a small number of spaces on site.

Really lovely food. The owner seemed attentive. I would suggest mentioning to the staff to keep eye contact occasionally with customers and I think the shorts are silly. Food is incredible, long enough wait. Reasonable prices, would definitely eat here again. Also, lovely and clean. Nice environment.

Fantastic evening in O Sullivan's, arrived early for our reservation and we were seated almost immediately, under a big screen tv so we could watch the game. Food was great I had the Whopper and it lived up to its name, my wife and teenage daughter had the brest in a bun and it was great. I can highly recommend O Sullivan's for good food and service

We booked a table and ordered drinks and food. Drinks came out quickly but the food took ages to come we waited around 1 hour already and we noticed people who came after us started receiving their food and we haven’t. We asked and it looked like there was some mistake and our order was forgotten about. Was very disappointed with this as we had to wait another additional 20/30mins to actually receive our order. The food was delicious we can’t say.We were aware it is a busy place and would have to wait but an hour and half to wait is but much.

It was my first time in here on Saturday with friends. I had the Beer Battered Whitting fish paid €22 for the food. I will say it was very nice fish would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes fish. Price yes it was a bit expensive i guess that Douglas for ya. Garlic was ok everyone is different like mine soft but it was crispy obviously they are running a business so they have to please the majority of customers which i understand. Orchard Thieves cider was lovely. Staff were friendly enough. They had pretty young female staff look like they were in their early 20s. They had lovely comfortable seats few medium sized smart tvs to watch the sports. Overall nice to go for food and drink. Good location near Tesco and bus stops. Yes i will recommend it anyone passing by in the area looking for a nice fancy place for food and drink. Bit disappointed they didn't have dessert.

Food is maybe 2 to 3 euro more expensive than other places, but I have been there countless times and have never been disappointed. Food is the best of quality in Cork and most importantly they give you huge portions. I wouldn't recommend any place over it in Cork never mind Douglas. Staff are nice and you leave full to your stomach with fresh food. Thank you chefs!

This was my first time dining in this beautiful bar/restaurant, we were met by smiling friendly staff who, after a brief chat, led us to a table and gave us menus, within seconds were we given a large glass of water each and asked if we wanted anything from the bar, we did, then ordered our food, yum yum yum we were not disappointed, omg the food was delicious, and better again the prices were fab.. I used to have a favourite restaurant where I always brought my family for special occasions... now I have two, I will be bringing my family here in future.

Me and my daughter always eat here and love it but that day the food was cold, did not taste good , both my daughters and mine, my grandson had dinner and it was lovely. Sorry we were very disappointed as food is normally scrumptious

The staff was very professional and smiling. The menu is varied and you will find something for everyone's taste. The food was fresh and hot and tasty. I had the salmon and I must say it was very well cooked. I always feel that's it's a pity to hide it with so much mash potatoes and thank God the sauce was in a side bowl. The goujon were huge but very tender. All in all a very experience.

Love the food, portions is soooo big, asked for a starter that look like a main course! My son wanted another 2 goujons and they send a full portion and didn't charge!!! Honestly 20 years in Ireland never seen a bar food tastes so nice!!! Really recommend and will go back for our weekend lunch 😁

Best food I've eaten in a while. Unbelievablely tasty food. Cooked to perfection, and good large portions which is rare in many places. 10/10 for food. Service was slow at times, long wait for dessert menus. Overall, great food. Decent pints. And a very well laid out place, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Took my mother for lunch for her 86th birthday. Darren and the staff went above and beyond to make it a great experience for her. They even brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. We were seated promptly and treated impeccably. Thank you so much.

Went there yesterday for breakfast and was blown away by the service of the manager Donal. He went over and above to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. Food was delicious with ideal people-watching seats by the windows. Lovely venue. Highly recommend.

Nice friendly staff, brisk service and for your main look no further than the beef featherblade, cuts like butter, tastes like heaven, served on a bed of mash with side of gravy and veg or chips. Next time I'm having a starter. Drove home a very satiated lad👍
