We usually have a good time at Woolshed watching the Rugby but the last occasion was very unpleasant for a few reasons. First, we watched the game without commentary (it's the second time this has happened, last time it cut out half way through the game). It was strange though because although we couldn't hear the commentary at our table, it was playing (for our game) in the bathroom. We were told that they would turn it on, after asking a few times, but nobody did… and it didn’t seem like anyone was working on the issue (like they did the last time it happened) Second, the screens kept switching. This means we would be watching a screen to one side which would suddenly switch over to another soccer game, so we would all have to suddenly turn around and watch another screen on the other side of the room, hoping we didn't miss anything. This wouldn't have been too much of a bother if it didn't happen about a dozen times. The final reason we didn't have a good time was because we were forced to settle the bill and got kicked out of our seats before the game was even over. We received a notice on our table when we arrived that our table was booked by other customers for 5pm so we knew that we had to leave for the next lot (which is annoying as it is) but the supervisor came to tell us to leave at 4:52, even though there were just 4 minutes left of the game. And she did so in a very rude and uncaring manner, too. Scolding us like school children (who hadn't even misbehaved). We absolutely understand that you have a new booking coming in and that we need to vacate, but being bossed around and sassed about it was not a very enjoyable experience... especially before the time we actually had to leave, and before our game was even over. Not that customers should be shoo'd from their seats in any case - fix your bookings. We all (about 8 of us from different tables) had to stand awkwardly to the side of the room watching a single screen with no commentary for last NAIL BITING minutes of a very close game. It felt like the establishment was done with us now that we had had our food and drink and paid our bill, and it felt very unwelcoming. The new customers did not arrive even after 5:15pm (when we finished our drinks and departed). To add to the insult, we felt quite singled out as foreigners because every one of us South Africans, sitting at 4 different tables in that section (all strangers), reluctantly gave up our seats before 5pm but the one table of Irish lads did not, even after the same supervisor requested them to move. Eventually, they were simply served another round of drinks at their table. I wondered where all the supervisor's harsh attitude went when dealing with her own countrymen. It just didn't feel good and I am hesitant to make another booking at Woolshed. We do understand that you have a lot of bookings to manage but it needs to be handled better, especially when customers go to Woolshed to watch a game, we should at least be assured of our spot for the duration of that game. You need to be more customer oriented or you will lose customers. Your booking system needs improvement so that we may book a longer time period, to account for possible overtime and just a damned minute to finish our beers (and extra time for table cleaning and changes). Also, many of your staff have been excellent and incredibly friendly but the supervisor in charge on that particular shift should not be working in customer service, period. She did nothing to help ease the situation, or accommodate anyone and made us all feel tense and unwanted with an overbearing attitude right off the bat… well, to us foreigners anyway… the Irishmen at the other table seemed to get her good side.

Kept serving pints in the wrong glasses. Beer is horrible like that. Burger came out swimming in some weird Mayo. Sent it back and got another burger which was very tasty and free also. All in all I won't be returning as there is much better out there.........so I did return for Liverpool v Manchester United on the 17/12/2023 and guess what still serving beer in the wrong glasses. That's me 100 percent done. As I said before much better put there for what you pay.

Loved being there. Ideal place to watch a match, chill and eat. We had lunch there and it was delightful. There was a big screen for sports and a very nice vibe around the place.

Fantastic bar, always catering to your needs. I've been here multiple times to enjoy games, today they weren't playing the game I came to watch but they set myself and my friends up with a table and changed to the game we asked to watch. Would recommend to any sports fans.

Made a booking for 10 to watch the superbowl and received a call cancelling it 2 hours before the booking for "commercial reasons". Facebook post was made earlier that day by them saying they were open to walk-ins for the game so have no idea what could have happened to cancel the event. Not enough time to organise an alternative. Would recommend choosing a more reliable option for bookings.

Disappointed is an understatement. No Aussie affair. Was looking forward to a Carlton cold listed on the menu, or vb or Bundaberg rum. None available since covid according to the bar staff. So why the f is it on the menu? Or is it kept only for the Dublin pub? The staff were lovely, but NO AUSSIE BEVVIES or mixers available. Do I sound annoyed, YES I AM. Change your menu to reflect actual availability, it's been 2 years since covid.

Good spot with comfortable atmosphere to visit during the day, and a great spot to catch an early football match. We lucked out by checking their Instagram story and managed to get a code for a free wings and pint of Heineken each worth about €20 each - Worth checking out if you plan to stop in here just in case! Wings were lovely and the pint was a pint. 👍 It should be noted that this whole venue is 21+ ALL DAY on Saturday (also Friday I believe) but they make exceptions to families. We saw two 18 year old lads with IDs get turned away at around 2pm, while there were actual toddlers wandering around inside. Odd rule so plan ahead! Nice if you're older as it's a less messy atmosphere than some of the 18+ bars in the city on the weekend.

The food is lovely here and always have great crack. The atmosphere is always great. I would prefer a better ordering system for food as it can be hard to find/approach staff when needed but it’s a must visit spot and great for date nights.

The food in the woolshed is always good. The spicy Korean chicken bites are delicious. We were there for music bingo on a Friday night and it was just good craic.

I love going to the woodshed used to go to one in Dublin all the time and thought I'd give the one in Cork a go. It did not disappoint. The staff were lovely, great vibes in there and the food was amazing. I had the dirty swine burger and chilli cheese fries. The dirty swine had to be one of the best burgers I ever had

So I'm here right now. It's the August bank holiday weekend 2023. Honestly, great food but even GREAT SERVICE. There's this waiter here and this man knows his stuff. I've never come across a waiter like him. He took our tables order - a good few of us. No pen and paper necessary for him. Man has some seriously good memory. Pure gentleman. Absolute legend. Don't know his name. All I can say is that he is around mid twenties, no hair. little moustache abs a handsome bloke.Thank you waiter man .

Very nice spot. Good drink and cocktail selection. Attentive friendly staff. Clean. Loads to do with the entertainment complex upstairs. Lots of sport on the tv normally. Music bingo on a Friday is a good laugh. Small selection of the drinks are a little expensive, but they have cheaper stuff too and pitchers.

Can't say anything better about the kitchen manager. We had a mix up on the food and not only did she handle everything and convince me to give it a second chance, she treated me as a brother. She made sure I was content and then some. Wonderful management. And extremely great customer service. Pay your kitchen manager all you can because she's worth her weight in gold.

Watched the F1 race. Our server was one of the best we’d had since visiting. Make sure to check out the roof top patio.

Nice place, great food, great variety of matches and upstairs there's pool and the worst bowling lanes ever! Negatives : the pints are always shocking and expensive. Clean yer beer lines guys. Bowling ain't cheap either.

This is the spot for live sport in Cork, have caught the F1 here a few times. The ability to order BBQ from the Holy Smoke makes it, you can end up with great food, pints and sport in a relaxed atmosphere!

Brilliant spot for a bit of craic and to watch any kind of sport. Plenty of seating and the food there is delicious and just what you want when on the high stool. Highly recommend.

Amazing Kitchen & food selection, we tried the Drunken Ribs, Beef Brisket, Loaded Nachos, Burgers, Chkn Bites, sweet potato fries - all very tasty and not too expensive. Added bonus is Thursday quiz night, food drinks & the chance to create your own very interesting team-name 😉 Not to mention all different sports going on the multiple TVs and projectors, arcade games in the adjacent rooms, bowling, billiards, and karaoke upstairs - something for everyone.
