The place gets 2 stars for the outdoor space it offers only. Massive beer garden and big screens for big matches. But my word do the staff need professional training. Stat! Waited 30 minutes at the indoor bar to be served. The outdoor bars were no better. They walk around disorganised, aimless and avoiding all eye contact with customers at the counter. They appear to be a bit clueless about bar work and what Customer Service entails. Put your staff working sections of the bar for goodness sake! This was not specific to the younger bar staff. Asked what white wine they had. They didn't know. I pointed at one and asked what it was and he didn't appear to know how to identify a Chardonnay from a Pinot Grigio etc. In the end I said just give me anything that is not a Sauvignon...got a yucky Sauvignon...I'm not saying it is his fault. You need to take pride in your bar and the service you offer. Train your staff. There was a lovely girl working the floor collecting glasses and cleaning the bathrooms who did appear to know how to interract with customers!

Centrally located. Car park near by. Good hang out place for friends. Have a very big out door dining area. Best place I would suggest to enjoy live matches. Good music all the time. Friendly staff. Party music all time🍻.. well maintained. Very good ambience especially the outdoor seating. Closes at 12.00 that’s the only demerit . Would appear a little bit dark when step in but don’t stop there, keep going deep in then you will find the door to the outdoor area😍with heating, which will keep you warm even in the middle of the winter😊Drink responsibly and enjoy 😜🍻

Great spot for outdoor pints. Service was great, but at the moment there is no table service. Atmosphere is fantastic and they have a great selection of drinks. Just be aware that some of the bars are cash only. Probably the best bar in Cork on a Summer day.

I hate to say a bad word about a Cork bar but Deep South deserves it. Security staff member was extremely rude right from the start. Host didn’t check the vaccination status of one of our group. There was no table service. Bouncer was walking around the inside of the bar with no mask on. They didn’t have one stout on tap. I will never return to this bar after how we were treated by the bouncer. The whole group was very disappointed.

Very big pub with a variety of spaces to be, I was there on an evening of a big Irish rugby 🏉 match, being played on TV screens & the place was quite packed with a young crowd & the atmosphere was good & they won !

Big gathering pub. Got there yesterday for a corporate event. Was ok, but folks at the bar got overwhelmed by the crowd and getting a pint was a bit of an adventure. Would have been good to plan for a bit more staff for such event

Service was fine. Staff were friendly. But the pints were undrinkable. Tried Coors, carlsberg and rockshore lager and each one was disgusting and gasless and I had to hand them back.

This place should be on your "must visit list" but get in early, it's a very big venue, with an even bigger back outside courtyard area.

Great pub for a few drinks! Huge outdoor area out the back with big screens and a dj. There are a few different bars and service is very good. Very lively atmosphere and a great spot on a sunny day. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the city!

Nice choice of lagers and ales. The place is huge (in and out) and the staff is helpful. Worth the visit.

Very bad experiences every time I’ve been here. Rude staff and the place in general looks old and run down. The drinks did taste a little off as well. Wouldn’t recommend it and even worse when it’s busy.

I recommend Deep Shouth Pub & Bar. We visited the Pub this Saturday past on after Cork Marathon Party. We used the garden Bar. Brilliant atmosphere 👏 👌 Highly recommend

Lovely place, great atmosphere but we had a disappointing experience here. A group of friends booked two tables in front of the screen to watch the World Cup and the pub decided to change the channel to a Rugby match which nobody was watching.

Great bar and the food was superb. The staff are fab and easy to get a drink even on a busy Saturday night. Would prefer more dance music to creat a lively atmosphere

There were really nice service and pleasant atmosphere. The little disadvantage was higher volume of music in late night.

We were drawn to Deep South for an afternoon cider by it's black exterior, with an entrance flanked by greenery and bright flowers. We entered and found an eclectic decor, with reclaimed velvet theater seats as well as wooden doors and windows from old banks and businesses and more. But the best part on this sunny summer day was the huge beer garden with tons of seating and a full bar so you don't need to keep going back inside if you don't want to. They even had a massive screen so everyone could watch the World Cup while enjoying the day.

👍👍 Awesome place to grab a bite to eat and have a nice drink or three in downtown Cork. I had the fish and chips and the wife had the lamb stew...they were both perfect. Service was first rate and I'd highly recommend heading to the bar for a talk with the experts on a food whiskey choice! You cant...

👍 Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and there were actually a number of beers that I have not seen elsewhere in the Cork area. I would not say this is a must do if visiting from abroad, b...
