Stopped in by The Cornerstore Restaurant on Thursday evening for some dinner. We were sat outside (covid restrictions in place). The sun was shining and which just added to the evening. For my meal I had the Prawns Pil Pil to start followed by the Sirloin Steak for my main. Both starter and main was cooked to perfection, such a lovely meal. I would highly recommend The Cornerstore Restaurant if you are visiting Cork.

Lovely meal as always, steaks were overcooked though but weren’t too dry. All the food was great quality and staff were very nice.

Nice ambiance, indoor and outdoor seating. Good for a special night out or even lunch. Limited vegetarian / vegan options. Good pizza and desserts.

Great place for a nice dinner! The service is amazing and the food just so tasty! Would definately recommend the duck! The desert selection wasn’t the best but as a whole experience it was a great restaurant! Oh and of course the cocktails were so properly done!

Gets busy in the evening. Best to reserve in advance if you are a large group. Best desserts and steaks. Cocktail are really nice.

Perfect service and high quality of food in here. I strongly recommend you make a reservation if you want to go on typical busy days.

Incredible service and atmosphere here. One of the best spots in Cork for food and drink. Cannot praise our waiter Daniele enough. His service made our night out in Cork incredible. He is truly in a league of his own. Thank you for having us -Liam and Kirsten

Lovely staffs but the food was alright, acceptable for the price but nothing too good. The spicy chicken wings were nice but the boneless chicken had a weird taste to it, I'm guessing it's the remainder fat under the skin

Excellent and delicious meal, great service. A bit too crowded and therefore a bit too loud for my taste, but was worth it! (And many people eating there is a good sign)

The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. However, when we wanted to reserve a table online we were told the kitchen closes at 8pm. Then we walked in at 8:30pm and was escorted to a table. The establishment should not discourage people to reserve online if they are actually not closed.

Amazing restaurant with superb service. Everyone was super friendly and smiling. The food was unbelievable and fantastic value for money. Atmosphere and vibe were very relaxing. Great shout out to Gemma which was smiley, friendly and recommended the right things which made the experience a memorable one. Thank you, will be back for sure!

Great starters, really different and interesting but maybe the blandest steak I've ever gotten in a restaurant. Cooked how I wanted but it just had no flavour, might've been the seasoning or just the supply but either way it was a lot poorer than it had been hyped up to be. Disappointing for a place that promotes it's grill. Staff were very nice.

First night in Cork and wandered around following people to see what’s for dinner. My stomach was a bit unsettled from the travel so it wasn’t ready for a fish and chips pub crawl. Cornstore looked warm and quiet from the outside. I was greeted warmly and given great service. Their set menu was a treat as it let me choose a variety. I went with the prawns, the hake and the posset. YUMMY! foodie town indeed! The prawns were spicy with a warm sourdough. Had the obligatory Guinness which was smooth and easy. Truly a treat. The hake in bur blanc was delicate and full bodied. I loved the beets as it grounded the dish along with the sliced ham. Paired this lovely with their local rock shore lager. Crispy and smooth foil to the luscious fish. Desert! Had to try the posset because I had no idea what that was but I knew that lemon and rhubarb were gonna zing. And it did. A great palette cleansing end to a great meal. My waitress was super attentive and described the dishes with great detail. The host seemed to go out of his way to make me feel comfortable. Loved every minute is this place. Great spot to eat and relax without the super loud pub atmosphere. A must try.

Really great dining experience. Given enough time to choose but the perfect balance of not too long that you become impatient. Our waitress Gemma was absolutely lovely. Food was EXCELLENT and the recommendations from Gemma were spot on. Highly recommended.

Have had too many dinners to count, never had a meal that wasn’t excellent. They are great for larger parties to sit upstairs, worth saying the bathrooms are really nice and comfortable and always clean. I went just for drinks after a dinner out in the city and I was impressed with the cocktails as I had only ever had wine before. I used to always sit in on a Sunday and listen to the live music could be just one or two people playing in the corner but it is the nicest setting especially when the fire near the bar is lit.

Wasn't mad about the chicken wings starter, but might have been because they were too spicy for me. However had the duck confit mains, and wife had the chicken supreme, both really nice. Kids food was good and all portions were very generous. Overall pretty good, staff nice too.

Overall Great Experience at the Corn store. Food was very Tasty amd portion size was excellent too. Really loved the building and way its decorated inside creates a great atmosphere for a meal. Staff were friendly and fast to help with anything needed . Would have given it a 5 star rating but the dessert menu is lacking big time and way to safe. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend the Pork Belly it was 10/10 for taste as were the seasoned chips, so good!

Welcome to THE place to go: Cornstore! Thank you a lot for the effort in the dishes prepared, the service and the great experience provided by the Cornstore’s team!! When you come to this warm place you have to pass by the fire entry. It’s beautiful! It makes you want to go further! You have to taste the oyster! The freshness of the latter gives them an irresistible taste! They put the small dishes in the big ones! I took the côte de bœuf (38€) accompanied by its pepper sauce and fries. The meat melts in the mouth! Fries was a little bit too salted but the overall dish is exceptional! You might think it’s expensive but don’t trust it, on the contrary it’s a guarantee of quality! The price is worth it! You have to come to this place to wake your taste buds up and share this moments with people you love!

Got a nice quiet table on the side, without a nice view but it's better then no table at all. We had the Calamaris as starter which where very tasty and enough to share without getting full immediately. My girlfriend had the roasted chicken and I the duck. Both dishes where absolutely fantastic and beautifully presented and nicely portioned. As dessert we both went for the chocolate cake which was very smooth and tasteful and pretty big and left us no room left for anything else. But we left very satisfied and done for a nice price. Will be certainly back in the future!

Unexpected find during the Cork Jazz festival. Food was inventive and all presented. Star of the day was our Italian waiter - he was truly exceptional and dealt easily with our many requests.

Five stars for the ambiance and the amazing service. The staff is super helpful and friendly. My only reason for deducting one star is that the starters can be better. Main course didn't disappoint us at all. I loved the pasta and the portions. Would definitely try and visit again whenever I am in Cork next.

Loved this place! We went there while on a trip to Cork. The food was very nice, with many GF options available, the staff was very welcoming and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Highly recommeded!

From being greeted, brought to our table, through service and our exit, we were treated wonderfully by the staff, and the roasted lamb and sea bass were excellent. A brilliant dining experience. Thank you.

Really lovely dining experience. Service fantastic and they have created a great atmosphere. Most of the food was fantastic, but there were a couple of things that weren’t to our taste but I would definitely go back again- there were so many other dishes on menu I wanted to try 😊😊😊

We had duck and salmon as mains. Beautiful food,duck is amazing I always get the duck when I come here. We didn’t took pictures of those cause we were too hungry lol. Nice desserts too and wine was class too.waitress was lovely and helpful .we will be back for sure,also location is nice too 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 in the middle of the city

Lovely food, staff well able to cope with a large crowd and full house. Time between courses perfect- not forcing food into your mouth or not waiting ages either. Menu choices good too. Plenty options available. Atmosphere is lovely at this time of the year with gorgeous Xmas decorations adorning every wall and stairs. Definitely worth a visit as a couple or a larger party crowd.

We had a wonderful night at the Cornstore. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely and attentive, even though it was very busy. We had the set menu, it was good value with loads of choice. We sat upstairs in a booth and it was lovely! Thank you Cornstore, we will be back 🤩

The restaurant is very good and located in the heart of the city center. The ambience is nice and the wait staff is very polite. The best thing is kitchen is open till late. Best if you can reserve a table in advance. Cost of food is reasonable and portion size is also okay.

So went and got the Tomahawk steak (to share)! Was defo worth it. Not cheap, but v tasty. Busy place, nice decor, good ambience.

Love it here. Staff are great, food is really tasty and arrives quickly, rounded off with some one the best cocktails in the city. Price is reasonable too for what you get and the location. Can't recommend enough.

Have to say, one of the best places I've experienced in Cork, so professional and everything was excellent from start to finish. My Group loved it so much they went again the next night. Staff was great, food was great, 100% recommend

We really enjoyed our dinner here on the evening of Thursday 17 March 2022. The food, the wine and and service were all fantastic and also reasonably priced. My wife enjoyed the lamb and the sea bass was only gorgeous. Definitely one to recommend if you're in the area.
