I'm afraid to leave a good review in case everybody else find out what a hidden gem this is. I'm from Cork, traveled a fair bit and this is one of the best pubs I've ever been to. An amazing pub.

The music coming from the place caught my attention. These were beautiful Irish melodies performed by a trio of excellent, expressive musicians. The cozy, homely atmosphere of the place is due to nice guests and - above all - to the serving owners who have probably been running the pub for a long time and there is probably a part of their hearts there. A selection of excellent Irish liquors, perfectly composed drinks and snacks, which they served to guests - everything was sprinkled with their hearty smile. Pleasant, beautifully decorated, traditional interior, clean and elegant in every nook and cranny. Thank you for a great afternoon, evening! If I ever come back to Cork, I want to come back to you!

Really friendly cosy little bar, great place to read your book or just listen to the low chilled out soundtrack. Nice choice of beer/stout from West Cork.

So cosy! It's just like having a pint in your living room! A lot of really great non-alcoholic choices too!

Joining the Cork Choral Festival 2023 we luckily stumbled upon this charming Pub! We instantly fell in love with it, the lovely people running it and the good atmosphere! Would like to come back! Kisses and hugs from the singers in Courage from Norway 🇧🇻

On a recent visit to Cork we passed Maureen's & noticed a sign in the window saying opening hours 5 -11, Thursday to Saturday & 5 -10 Sunday. It looked like your grannies house from the outside so we were intrigued to try it on the way back to the hotel that evening when we noticed it open. As we entered we noticed a sign on the door asking for parties no bigger than six as the pub wasn't big enough to cater for large groups. We were very pleasantly surprised to find beyond the hall door to the left of the room was 'your grannies parlour', carpet & coffee table tabut & on the right a modern bar lit with soft, orange lighting. The sound of Jass music adding to the lovely ambience. A very smartly dressed, friendly barman chatting to a few locals at the bar gave us an Irish welcome. My husband described the feeling like the room was giving you 'a lovely warm hug' when you enter. The toilets were quirky & spotless. If you like craft beers you need to visit. We would have stayed longer only we had dinner reservations.

Such a lovely dwelling...inside the City of Cork. This the most loveliest of pubs for a pint/glass of wine and above all a chat with your friends and of course the the hosts. 5 star all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fabulous cocktails and great pints, plus a selection of teas and delicious coffee. They have it all in this intimate hostelry. I love that it is equidistant to Opera house and Dance Cork Firkin Crane, so this is the perfect spot to wet your whistle before whichever show you're going to. Bonus points for traditional atmosphere, being artist friendly, and especially for lovely friendly owners.

Maureen's is a wonderful corner pub! There is a warm welcome when you enter the bar/lounge area! The owners are very friendly and attentive! They have a wide range of local beers and a great selection of spirits to choose from the well stocked bar. The lounge area is small and cosy and very clean! The musice is excelent and gives a great atmosphere to the place. Its a great pub to call to if you are looking to go out for a drink and have a great conversation with friends! Maureen's is a must visit when you are in the area!

Gorgeous, cosy, magical bar with very friendly staff. Full of poetry, music, laughter and good conversation. Highly highly recommend a visit. They do lovely herbal teas too if you're a non-drinker like me.

What a wonderful gem. Tucked away in the corner of the bend of the road. Such a warm, inviting bar. We received a warm welcome and had our our choice of a wide range of drinks from the well stocked bar. The setting is almost that of an inviting living room and one really does feel at home. A must visit should you be in the vicinity.
