Highly
overpriced
and
massively
underwhelming
hotel.
Where
to
start?
Maybe
first
impressions,
the
'carpark'
at
the
front
of
the
hotel
can
only
accommodate
about
10
cars
and
has
only
one
way
in
and
out
with
no
space
to
turn.
It
would
make
much
more
sense
to
just
have
a
couple
disabled
spaces
and
leave
adequate
room
for
people
to
drop
off
their
luggage
and
turn
around
to
leave.
There
is
a
discount
for
a
local
multi-storey
car
park
which
is
only
5mins
walk
away
but
across
a
big
road
and
down
a
hill
so
not
practical
with
luggage.
The
hotel
pool
is
also
tiny
and
therefore
overcrowded
with
hotel
guests,
swimming
lessons
and
public
members
of
the
health
club.
It
all
seems
like
a
huge
cash-grab
too
with
swimming
hats
'compulsory'
and
charged
at
€3
each
although
this
rule
does
not
appear
to
be
enforced
as
about
only
half
the
swimmers
had
them
on
when
we
went
for
a
relaxing
dip
with
our
two
kids.
You
also
need
a
padlock
for
lockers
which
is
charged
at
an
additional
€10
and
not
advertised
in
advance.
Although
a
fully
non-smoking
hotel
the
corridors
have
a
lingering
smoke
smell
and
the
carpets
are
filthy.
A
bit
of
a
redeeming
feature
was
the
rooms
which
were
spacious,
clean
and
relatively
well
decorated.
The
rooms
are
not
very
well
appointed
though
with
only
limited
tea
and
coffee
facilities
being
the
only
add-on.
No
safe,
fridge,
toiletries,
all
of
which
I
would
expect
as
standard
in
a
family
room
in
a
four
star
hotel
costing
upwards
of
€250
for
the
night
we
stayed
on
a
Friday
in
August
(not
including
breakfast
either).
I
don't
know
if
decent
hotels
are
in
short
supply
in
Cork
so
the
prices
are
high
but
this
hotel
to
me
was
hugely
overpriced
and
more
fitting
of
two
stars,
rather
than
four,
in
my
opinion.
