If you have allergies this restaurant is the best in the city. They have a Celiac menu, a dairy free menu and if you ask they will find out what food has other allergents you may be allergic to in the food. My other allergy after gluten, dairy is Soya. The staff are amazing and so helpful. The food is A+. Well worth a visit even for just lunch.

We ended up at Market Lane purely by accident. We were looking for a sticky toffee pudding and after checking many places nearby saw that Market Lane had a bread and butter pudding so we thought we would try that. We were so glad we did! Market Lane was a true delight. We sat at the bar and the (I think) head bartender was super friendly and willing to entertain all of our questions. He suggested we pair our dessert with whiskey drinks. I got an old fashioned (maybe the best one I've ever had) and he made a special one of a kind whiskey drink on the spot for my friend who is a little hesitant about whiskey... and she loved it! The service was simply impeccable and we had such an unexpectedly lovely evening. I would recommend Market Lane to anyone visiting Cork! P.s. They also have beer next door from the smallest microbrewery in Ireland. Super cool!

This is legitimately one of the nicest of this chain of restaurants. Even post covid the quality of the food and service is excellent. I got the beef rib, people talk about meat falling off the bone but you couldn't keep the meat on it with a hammer and nail. Every course was phonenomenal from start to finish

One of the best spots in Cork, always had a great experience anytime I’ve been here. Staff are welcoming and there is plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs, and if you’re looking for a more quiet experience would recommend booking a table upstairs as there is a little less seating. Food is delicious and the menu is quiet varied with plenty of options.

Very good food and service. High quality beers and gin. Thanks Andrea for helping us, translating and explaining all the courses in Italian and for your suggestions for beer and gin. All the stuff is super gentle and the place is very cozy

Went for dinner here on Saturday night with family. We had a lovely time. The food was fab, Each of us had a starter and main course, two also had dessert. Each dish we had was lovely. Staff were friendly and service was great, especially given how busy it was. Will definitely be back soon.

We went and ate from the late night menu, which still had a nice selection. I had the Crispy Torn Chicken Salad and it was great. Everyone else had the Seafood Pasta which was also delicious. Staff was awesome and vibe was laid back. Go and eat here.

Exceptional. Amazing menu, delightful to see so many fish and vegetarian dishes. Easily accommodated friend with Gluten free dishes. Great non alcohol cocktails. Staff is simply amazing, friendly, responsive. Food was great quality and full of flavour, mostly considering it was bank holiday weekend, amazing experience! Can't wait to come back!

Fantastic meal! My partner and I started with the french onion soup and smoked haddock arancini, followed by the fish curry and beef short rib for mains. Everything was seasoned well and cooked beautifully. Ambiance was lovely. Service could use a bit more attention, but overall we had a fantastic time. Thank you!

The first semester is over, so I came over for dinner with my classmates. I really like to eat mussels, as well as chicken and that dessert. Happy Holidays!

My first visit here today for lunch with friends but definitely not my last! This place is amazing and so gluten free, vegan and dairy free friendly, with specific menus catering to intolerances. Rachael our server was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, professional and so helpful, all in all, she was really lovely, and made us feel so welcome The food was quite literally amazing. The presentation , the quality, the quantity Every word was ooh and aah. Just fab We had a bottle of Pinot Grigio, such a lovely flavour, and fresh taste, I definitely recommend The atmosphere was lovely and there was a real ambiance and vibe about the restaurant . A great sign was that it was full to the rafters at lunchtime. Definitely book ahead so you are not disappointed I can't wait to eat here again, a lovely starter, main course and a sorbet for dessert topped off with a decaf oat latee

Went for lunch during their busy period. It was only a short wait at the bar before being seated. The food is good and well sized. We had soup, the roast chicken and pork neck. The chicken was moist and nicely roasted. The pork was tasty. Dessert bread and butter pudding was devine both with custard and ice cream! Service was very courteous and helpful. A filling lunch. Left happy and needed a good walk! Go and be happy

Great atmosphere and staff. I ordered the lamb with potatoes and asparagus and got lamb with rice and green beans. Would have been nice if someone would have at least commented on this. The rice was very over cooked, dry and crunchy. The lamb had a nice flavor, but over cooked as well and a bit dry. The green beans had a nice crunch to them and made quite nicely

The quality of food was fine/above average but nothing very notable or special. Service was good, though there was a slight gap between serving the starter and the main dish. Not very impressed by their food presentation. I wanted to try the lamb dish with Persian rice but it was soldout. Instead I tried the dish with Monkfish which was a bit overcooked, and the texture was slightly chewy. Inside could be pretty crowded and loud, though this is not a negative point. Overall, it was worth to be checked out once.

Great spot. Come here often. We had late lunch and it did not disappoint. I had the steak sandwich and it was delicious. Others in the group had fish and chips, meatballs and burger. All wonderful dishes elevated with sophisticated twists. Desserts were divine, but very big, we should have shared! Still ate it though 😂 I had the special Beara cocktail, very nice as well.

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner here. Although it was extremely busy, the hostess seated us at a nice table. I had hake fish with potatoes and spinach. It was incredibly fresh and tasty. Our server was super nice and helped us pick some really good entrees.

I only had a dessert dish but it was amazing! Warm ginger cake with apple and cinnamon cream was so good. I loved it. Texture of the cake was very soft and light. It had enough sweetness. I loved it. And with Dingle gin made it the perfect dish.

Amazing place to eat, my goodness! The local beers on tap and food is amazing. But the folks that work here are amazing as well. They make beautiful craft cocktails and can also spin a request! Definitely stop here. Marrik is an exciting bartender and host !

Delicious and diverse menu! Kind and efficient staff during a busy time of day. Great place to enjoy a meal alone if it is too busy to seat a whole group.

Very welcoming restaurant with something for everyone on menu and wine list. Mussels in white wine sauce are excellent, steaks are cooked perfectly as per order. Always worth a visit, and if you're not booked, the very friendly and well organised staff go out of their way to accommodate guests.

Went for a birthday. Room is nice and the service was very good, chatty, pleasant. Unfortunately the food was really, really poor. Stingy with sauces, over-cooked, dry. For a menu that's basically comforting classics, this is pretty unforgivable for the money you pay. For 7 (including 3 kids on kids menu), we spent nearly €350 including a few cocktails and wine, but no starters. Apart from the staff, really disappointing and a borderline rip-off.

Lovely restaurant and even lovelier staff. Worth booking as very busy and was very fortunate to get one of the outside tables. Food is of the highest quality which is obviously what matters most. Staff very helpful and give a lovely run down on what food Market Lane has to offer its hungry customers. Look forward to visiting the place sometime soon again. You'll not be disappointed, just Go...😀

Very nice staff and good. The outdoor seating was comfortable. The seafood salad and the steak sandwich were delicious as well as all the current mocktails and brownie. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice restaurant and nice staff. 10/10

Staff here are amazing. They're well known amongst patrons of cork for their amazing service and friendly attitudes, no matter how busy! I always enjoy going for food here, one of the few places in cork I've made repeated visits to! Definitely worth a visit, but may require a booking during busier periods. The food is always lovely and they have a nice selection of tap and bottled beverages.

👍 Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and there were actually a number of beers that I have not seen elsewhere in the Cork area. I would not say this is a must do if visiting from abroad, b...
