This is a beautiful cafe within the castle premises with an option to dine inside or outside. They have a good lunch selection and a warm atmosphere. You can see a portion of the castle through the cafe. My pan fried hake was delicious! They also serve ipas from the Elbow Lane. The staff is diverse from different ethnicities and ages, which I think is a lovely touch! Hoping to be back soon!

Amazing experienceas always, our group had a few dietary requirements which the staff accommodated quickly. Beautiful setting and great food. Was super jealous that I didn't order the Rosscarbery Sausage in a bap, but next time!! Coffee was decent too!

Brilliant place to dine in while enjoying some magnificent views of the castle. Service is great and quick. Atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Good range of drinks and decent food menu which could be a little vast. Wrong person to judge the food as Im an indian whose taste buds are accustomed to spicy food, I found the found here relatively bland and less suited selection for my liking. The dessert- brownie with honeycomb and vanilla ice cream is a must try.

Wow. We stumbled on this place and are so glad we did. Terrific ambiance, sincere staff, and exemplary meals. One of us had the hake dinner, one the vegan lentil cakes. Both were divine! We were satisfied but succumbed to the dessert menu regardless. ☺️ The vegan chocolate cake was a real treat. The room was so cozy and pretty with tasteful holiday lights that we could have sat there for hours.

It was a busy day when we went here for lunch 3 weeks ago. We don't have a reservation for 2 people but we were still accommodated and we were given a table. Nice view of the castle and the river. First time trying fish and chips. It was delicious. If you just want to have lunch in the restaurant, there's no need to book a ticket (which I thought I needed 😅). It's just outside of the castle.

This could have been a ☆four star☆review only for the amazing staff actually taking the time to come to our table and apologise for a mix up with our food. It wasn't a big deal as we were able to just change some food on our plates but they went out of their way to make sure we were 100% happy, the owner/manager even personally came and sat with us and that for me made our experience here amazing. Fabulous setting, food was amazing and the staff are exceptional! Take a lovely walk by the water before your meal on a nice evening.

This restaurant/bar has a perfect location within the castle gardens. If the weather is good, the terrace of the place is so enjoyable. The food was delicious and the service amazing. Will definitely come back and recommend it!

Charming location, great food and service. We had beef salad, potato and parsnip gratin, our little one had the chicken option from the kids menu, and everything was delicious. We even found some space for the blackberry sundae - yum. Another great meal at one of Market Lane restaurant group’s restaurants! Thanks again!!

This is a lovely cafe, situated and located ideally in the beautiful BlackRock castle, the staff are friendly, the coffee is top notch and the desert speaks for itself in the photos.. absolutely delicious. A cafe with a great view, friendly staff, good coffee, and fantastic dessert, what more do you need? For sure will be returning here on a regular basis.

Have been here a good few times now! It’s a beautiful setting, the food is lovely and the staff are really nice! They scrambled my eggs when I didn’t want them poached, which shows that they try to be accommodating when possible.

Disappointing experience with a manager who felt we should already know that when changing a baby to use toilets across the courtyard to avoid inconveniencing other customers. I'm referring to an experience a few months ago and perhaps this person was unhappy in the role and has moved on by now. I have eaten here around 10 times. The food is generally interesting and the setting is excellent.

Fabulous experience. The Food was delicious, I couldn't fault it at all. We were sitting by the window looking over the castle. It was beautiful. The staff were also lovely. This café was exceptional. I didn't want to leave.

Hands down the most incredible meal we have had in all of Ireland thus far and it just happens to be in a castle where my nephew picked for his birthday dinner. Gamekeepers casserole with wild boar, venison, and pheasant, chestnuts, red onions, dumplings, and spiced red cabbage. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Cork Ireland.

I hosted a ten person Women’s Little Christmas party at the Cafe. It. Was a delightful place to have it. Superb food, beautifully decorated, and the waitstaff could not have been more courteous or patient. We all changed places between dinner and dessert and waitstaff was very cooperative. Everything on the menu was a success for this diverse group including vegetarians.

Less options for Vegetarians Brownie with vanilla ice-cream is a seller Roast chicken was amazing as well but did not like the mash potato which is served with it. Ambience - 4/5 Taste - 4/5 Service 4/5

One of the best places in all of Cork for dinner. Food is always absolutely perfect every single time. Staff were so lovely. The waitress who served us noticed my partner wearing a 'Happy Birthday' badge and went out of her way to add candles and sing Happy Birthday when my partners desert came out. We never asked for that or said anything which made the gesture even more special.

Lovely selection of light lunches and desserts in a beautiful setting. You can choose to sit indoors in a room that is filled with natural light, or outdoors with your dog at one of the many tables that have a view of Blackrock Castle observatory. I would recommend the steak baguette 👌

Very nice upmarket cafe/restaurant. I had the steak sandwich with mustard and onion with chips. There's outdoor seating and table service.

Sunday brunch was gorgeous. Everyone ordered a different menu item and we were all really impressed, so tasty and good portions. Staff were excellent. A nice touch was when the waiter came around and offered an additional hot drop of coffee to those drinking coffee at the table. Something low key but was so appreciated and everyone commented after that it was the first time it was seen done. Its those little touches that go a long way. Thank you

Was here for lunch, very impressed. Food was delicious. I had the bacon sandwich which was so so tasty, so big I had to bring half home! It was a meal in itself! My son had the chicken and he really enjoyed it. The cafe was very well managed, checked Covid certs, tables well spread out, plenty of sanitizer so we felt very comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again soon. Would well recommend visiting here.

I had the mango sorbet and a latte. They don't serve chai lattes unfortunately. There is plenty of outdoor seating in a beautiful sitting adjacent to Blackrock Castle. The staff were efficient and professional and we weren't waiting long for our food, which was delicious. Prices are average. I'd definitely go again and I've no hesitation in recommending it.

A very tasty shakshuka for brunch. Great coffee. Attentive service. Can be very busy so I would recommend ringing ahead to book a table, especially at weekends.

It was a nice last meal before we left Ireland. The other amenities of the castle grounds were closed at our 5pm dinner reservation, but it was a lovely interior especially with the castle background. We enjoyed the food and the very attentive service. We had one dish that was too salty (reminded us of how salty the U.S. food is) but we shared the feedback and they were receptive. Nice to experience this castle in Cork! Parking was very limited and tight roads to access the area but that was expected.
