Just loved the whole experience! Food is delicious we had the pad Thai , duck red curry and chicken wings. Each one of them was incredible. The waitress was lovely and helpful!

All credits are to the Chef!!! I had Saigon Noodles with green curry. Noodles were prepared with authenticity and with so much love, just perfect. I think I just found one of my favourite noodle dish that is Saigon. I was so happy that I wanted to say thank you to the Chef but he wasn’t there while leaving. Anyway if I ever visit Cork again, this place would be in my list.

Tried 2 dishes and vary different experiences. Pad Thai was average a bit sweet and could have used more a authentic sauce flavor and spice. The Red Curry however was really tasty (still not not too spicy) and so far one of the best I’ve had in the city.

I had a beef brisket rice noodles for my lunch today. They charged me €17.90. I think this is a bit pricey for that noodles. And the taste not good at all too salty . I would not recommend to having this dish.

Food is very good. I tried popcorn tofu, zinger fried rice and pad Thai. Everything tastes amazing. They have both indoor and outdoor place. Nice ambiance. They also deliver food. As soon as they opened the place people started coming up. Must try Restaurants.

Restaurant rather correct, the framework is pleasant, the food arrives rather quickly. The pad thai was maybe a bit bland in terms of seasoning, but there are sauces available to enhance the taste. The dish is nevertheless generous and at the end of the meal we had eaten well enough. The price is rather correct for the quantity and quality. The waitress who took care of us was impeccable and reactive, just one black spot at the end of the evening: One of the waitresses forgot to be courteous and made manners so that we would place ourselves in such and such a way to pay the bill, so that we would hurry up to finish our dishes since we were not going fast enough, yes we did the closing and spent a good moment... The evening was overall successful

Fab Restaurant. Asian fusion cuisine with everything from Pad Thai, Green Currry and Teriyaki Duck. Separate Vegan menu with lots of choice. Food is excellent, main course portion are generous and beautifully prepared. Cocktails, Beers, Mocktaiks all available. Ambience is sophisticated and relaxed. Nice Thai/Asian theme. Service friendly, helpful and professional. Outdoor and indoor dining. Like it lots.

Restaurant was slightly tricky to find but Google maps helped. Food arrived quick enough, servers were nice and kept checking if I need anything. I’m overall a nice cozy Asian food joint in a busy part of the city. Loved the cheesecake.

Amazing food, nice drinks and generally a great restaurant. It can get quite busy, but the service is brilliant and the food definitely makes up for it! Pretty good value too! 😁

I personally felt food is okish ... But depends some might find food tasty. Starters for both veg and non veg was good. If you like spicy dishes don't go for any curry dishes. We had Kabocha noodles which was very tasty .. Pad Thai noodles was bland. We tried some deserts it was good.

We entered this place because of the atmosphere of the tiny street where it was located, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant can be really busy sometimes, but they can still manage. The food arrived in good time, but even choosing two different dishes, they tasted pretty much similar, maybe because of the spice mix. Also there was a bit too much salt. They have a Sriracha sauce on the table and a refillable glass jar of water free to use, and that's good. Overall good experience but food didn't amaze.

Fabulous high-quality Asian street food! I had the Phad Thai and my date had the Chicken noodle soup. Both dishes were delightfully delicious. The service was also perfect, accommodating our every need.

This place is too good! I searched on google and by seeing good reviews I went to this place and the ambience was also good. I ordered saigon noodles and that is something I would recommend to everyone if you like spicy food its too good. It’s way tooo spicy but you are gonna love it. Believe me! Saigon is good with both prawns and chicken

They have the nicest service in cork. I was stunned, how good the customer service is here. You feel genuine, when they ask you how is the food or do you need anything. Whoever do the training and interview of new staff. I give you my best wishes. Service in Ireland wend down, but in KOTO only rise up. I always come here, if I want some spicy food with meat and noodles. „Boom!” Is my favourite, you have to try it.

They have amazing dishes. I've tried Kabocha, Katsu curry and Thai curry. I think you can make any dish vegan too, I had them myself. It is a bit pricey, but not overpriced, you get a huge meal and you sure won't be hungry after having it. Also they are fast in making a meal. Atmosphere is nice too, its a cozy place imo.

Lovely place with amazing food. Had Sambhal roasted hake and red Thai curry. Though Thai curry was good, hake was out of this world. Ambience and lighting is upscale. Menu including cockatails is very fresh.

WOW! I am so happy that we decided to eat here. We started with the Panko Prawns and got the Chicken Pad Thai to share. The Pad Thai was so delicious, we ordered another for later. I wish we could come back again but sadly the flights would be too expensive... For dessert we had the Chocolate & Coconut Torte and Brownie Sundae. Everything was 11/10. Our servers were attentive and friendly and the food came out fast. I will miss you Koto!

Koto is our favourite takeaway option on Deliveroo but for once we finally had an occasion to go into town and eat at Koto. As expected the food was great! The Food: The food is amazing, its freshly cooked and the flavours are fragrant and delicious! Our favourites to have as a starter are the "Gyoza" and the "Wok Fried Greens" and our favourites to have as a main are the "Boom!", the "Eight Hour Brisket", the "Teryiaki" stir fry and the "Katsu" curry! I personally recommend trying the "Boom"! They also have seafood dishes as well has duck dishes if that is something more along the lines of what you are looking for. Staff: The staff are friendly and very attentive! And even when the restaurant is very busy the staff will still cater to every customer and deliver excellent service! Layout: Koto is a small restaurant however, it can hold a large number of diners! They have a number of outdoor seating at the front on the trendy Carey's Lane with more seating available inside to the left hand side of the restaurant on the ground floor. There is more seating upstairs and it surrounds a balcony overlooking the stairs. Location: Koto is located about a third of the way down Carey's Lane from Paul Street. Very centrally located in Cork City! Delivery: Koto offer take out through Deliveroo and its usually the way we normally order but it was nice to go in person! Overall Opinion: The food is always amazing and they have delicious cocktails however, the restaurant can be quite busy so I would advise making a reservation in advance!

weekend trip to Cork with a friend from London..we love Asian food so thought we would check it out.. honestly..I've lived in Asia and this food was comparable with some of the best I've ever had...good portion size too for the price. The staff were super nice too ... a Mexican Lady who served us (apologies didn't catch the name) and a new guy who was working his first ever shift, called Harry! Both of which are credit to your company anf to the rest of the team a big thanks..food was delicious and I would definitely recommend dropping by!

Delicious food and great service. Highly recommended. Loved the sauce and flavours of the wok fried greens & beansprouts. The Hoi An had some kick to it but was fantastic and the supplementary egg was fluffy and delicious.

Perfect from start to finish. My friend and I will be back for more. I had the Godfather Sour as my drink. Starter was goyza which we both ordered. Mains, I had the chicken Khao Pad and my friend ordered a salmon dish. Servers were friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Our food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. Totally surprised by how big the restaurant was! Very aromatic cooking and semi-open kitchen concept which may not be for everyone if you’re sensitive to smells and sounds but we enjoyed our experience.

Amazing food, great management. They have a dull vegan menu and most items can be made gluten free. They have a lunch special mid week between 1/ - 5. Good portions and everything is super fresh, their yellow curry is my favourite.

The food is great, the service is terrible. The server DROPPED my starter on my girlfriend and while she apologised profusely, that was it, we were not offered any money off, any offer of dry cleaning her ruined jacket or anything like that. Parking this complete accident, the service was still awful, the drinks we ordered never arrived until I asked for them a second time and at that, they got my girlfriend's order wrong. The main took an eternity to arrive and when it did it was so hot that it could only have been microwaved, I imagine after being left in the kitchen forgotten so had to be reheated. Our water jug was taken halfway through the meal and not returned then when I asked for another one, the server walked by, slammed it down on our table and kept walking past without breaking stride. There are many better and cheaper Thai restaurants in Cork City and I would highly advise that you go there instead.

A beautiful well presented restaurant nestled in the side streets of Cork with an innovative and delightfully executed menu. It's clear to see that there is passion here and the attention to detail is present in everything from the table service to the food. The portions are generous and bursting with flavour so much so that during the trip we visited Koto on multiple evenings. I not only recommend that you try their food, I insist upon it. I will definately be visiting again next time I'm in the area.

Great food and service if a bit pricey

  • 5/5 Matt C. 4 years ago on Google
Wonderful food and great flavors. Portions are generous and reasonably priced. I went for the "Boom" and it was delightfully spicy, kinda like a Thai Pad See Ew with tender brisket and added spice. My wife went for the Sambal Hake and the curry flavors and lemongrass notes were on point. For dessert we went with sticky toffee pudding which was also super delicious. Friendly service and the menu shows they can accommodate gluten intolerance and other food allergies. I would highly recommend dining at Koto.

Had a kind of middle of the road experience here. I ordered teriyaki chicken and my partner had teriyaki pork. It was nice, i suppose, but it wasn't teriyaki. Seemed like it was smothered in a sweet chilli sauce, or something along those lines. Meat was quite tough as well. The rice was lovely, and the portions were generous, but overall the food was not great.
