This is the best burger spot we have found yet in Cork. Well worth the visit. Great service, a few good local beers on tap, and a focus on making really great burgers. Kids menu hit the spot for the kids and plenty of vegetarian options in terms of burgers. Noted on the menu that any of the specialty burgers could be made with a falafel or veggie burger. Great sides too. The chips were delicious and I’m intrigued to go back and try the jalapeño poppers. Basic side salad was tasty as well. Prices were average. Maybe one downside is having to buy chips separately. But Overall a great find. We will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere and cool environment. Beers are limited to a small variety. We have tasted Franciscan chieftain. It was fruity and delicious. You can feel the grapefruit tones when u sip the first rounds. While waiting we had chicken strips which was tasty, crunchy and delicious. Then we have ordered cheesy and veggie burgers with parmesan fries. Fries were great but hamburgers were normal. We liked them but here was nothing special and spectacular with it. We have paid 60€ for 4 beers, 2 burger’s 1 potatoes and 1 chicken strips. Prices were above the market. We were sitting outside luckily, because ventilation in the inside area is not successful. It smells vinegar in the inside. Staff is great, they are really friendly and fun.

Always a great experience! We had no booking and we were taken care of right away, even on such busy day as the Ed Sheeran concert! 😊 The food was amazing and staff is always helpful and they check on you regularly. I love that they have the burgers of the month and their churros are to die for!

Once again I find myself in a burger bar but go for the salad. It was a pear and blue cheese salad that I added grilled chicken to… I have to say it it was an incredible salad. The chicken was grilled to perfection, not over cooked. The greens were well balanced and neatly prepared, the dressing divine.

Second opinion I'm always sorry to see that there is always that sheet of paper served under the burgers which is always the big black spot of the dish's presentation. I recently learned that the reason the meat was way overcooked was because the authorities consider that rare meat or tartar is dangerous for your health... What an amazing stupidity. I still find it incredible when so much energy is put into eating so badly, not respecting the certified / controlled products, ruining exceptional products under the pretext of a regulator who follows incompetence. In short, I would like to apologize to the chefs for my last comment, which was a bit salty about the state of cooking of their meat. Due to this new light I wanted to raise the note and continue to congratulate the chefs for their cooking

This place is decent, you get a filling meal for a decent price.. but it doesn't quite make the 5 stars, While the burgers are tasty, I have tasted nicer elsewhere in the city, the presentation is great but you just get that feeling that there is a bit too much time spent on the preparation and thus time spent on taste is sacrificed. You will also need to wait a little longer for the burger.. The chips were a nice side but the balance of spice was unequal. Overall I did enjoy by meal and will definitely be recomeending it to people but there is still some room for improvement.

I had a huge expectation on this place. Heard a lot of positive reviews about this place and really needed to go once. It's very difficult to get a table here, personally I went there few times but couldn't find a table, so decided to go on a Monday evening still didn't get a table for 6 and sat outside on a cold evening. Though the heaters kept us warm would have loved to sit inside. About the food it's worth trying. Had the chicken waffle burger, the bun was very very good. It was something which I have never tried, different and good one.

Catering to a wide vegetarian audience is one of the things S.O.B does so well! Replacing a meat patty with a falafel or veggie one is such a great way to make sure there are a good number of vegetarian options. More restaurants should do this! Kudos! And the burgers and chips themselves are so delicious and fulfilling!! The vibe is quite nice and they have a large selection of drinks as well. 10/10 would visit again! Already had food here twice in 2 days.

Best burger ever! We arrived at 7 to a packed restaurant thinking we wouldn’t get a table. The hostess told us we could wait at the bar and that a table would be ready in ten minutes. It took even less time. We got a great table for five by the window. Our waiter was on the ball, got all of our orders right and quickly with a smile. The food… I’m not joking, it was the best burger of my life and the kids agreed. We think we’ll have to fly to Cork soon just for another one of those amazing burgers. I had the One, others at our table had the Stack, the SOB and the Dirty Chicken. All in all a great experience, the organised staff absolutely nail the service and the atmosphere is fun.

Wow! Just wow food. The food was really good. Just the right amount of sauces, fresh juicy chicken, and salad was flavourful and tasty. Will highly recommend this place for the burgers or their salads. The staff was really friendly and the ambiance was great to go as a group. Loved it here.

Their burgers are the best I've ever eaten 😋. The staff is also amazingly friendly 😁. I ordered the special burger of the month called " The Tacos". And first what surprise me the most was definitely the top of notch ingredients used to design the burger. I would just say that the music is a little bit too loud so if someone don't like the music it would be a problematic. I will definitely come back during my next trip to Cork.

The best burger I've ever eaten! It was huge, packed full of delicious fillings and the burger itself was beautifully cooked. We also ordered cheesy chips as a side and they didn't disappoint. A generous portion with lashes of cheesy sauce and cheese, would highly recommend. The serving staff were also friendly and professional, can't wait to return when we're next in Ireland!

Absolutely magnificent burgers. All beef is ground fresh in house daily, nice selection of beer, all desserts made in house as well. I went with the "special of the month" the Monster Mash, I would definitely eat here again and recommend for anyone visiting Cork and looking for a great burger in a great atmosphere!

Burger tasted nice and so did the sides. Had to eat with knife and fork as burger was quite big. There were a few chewie bits that I later realised (as it was dark) was the paper they had put underneath the burger. The blue moon beer was not good.

Great Burgers with great sides. Price is not too expensive and worth it for the burger. Would definitely recommend. Can get a little crowded sometimes

I ordered the Dirty Chicken Burger and it was so tasty. It doesn't come with chips so you order your sides separately. I had home cut fries with rosemary salt. The music was a bit too loud so it was kind of hard to have a conversation. I loved the fact that each bathroom stall had its own sink and hand dryer. The staff were very friendly and service was quite fast. Would definitely go back 🤗

The atmosphere is good and the burgers are tasty. Can get a little crowded and your orders may be delayed at times. But overall a nice place to enjoy the tasty burgers.

A perfect burger joint in the heart of Cork. This review is based on consuming the chicken burgers(chicken burger). Have tried the angry fries, chicken burger and nachos. Loved all of it and this place never disappoints. Quantity and quality is top notch. Service is brilliant with the staff being very kind in frequent visits to the table to ask about our experience and to check the status.

I recently visited Son of a Bun Burger Place in Cork and had an amazing experience. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and attentive. But most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! I tried the Stack burger and it was cooked to perfection - juicy and full of flavor. The fries were crispy and golden, and the milkshake was thick and creamy. If you're a burger lover, I highly recommend checking out Son of a Bun Burger Place. It's the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner with friends and family. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is top-notch. Plus, the restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Cork, making it easy to access. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning soon!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was hot outside but had been drizzling with rain so they helped us to pull some tables under the canopy and got us paper towels to wipe down the seats for our group of 8 people. The burgers are very big so I would recommend sharing chips/other sides. Gluten free buns are also available. Overall it was a great experience and good value for money.

Staple place to go for burgers in Cork. Usually a bit busy and don’t take reservations so be prepared. The burgers are always really good and well prepared. Not overly cooked and not greasy and pretty filling. The vibe inside is always good to and service is quick. There is usually a new burger every month but actually this is a rotation of burgers but it’s nice to have a different option every now and then. Great location and nice amount of space. Enjoy this place.

Best burgers in Cork! It’s always worth getting back for more of those amazing burgers! Service is great, music is class(maybe a bit too loud) definitely a place to be while in Cork

We haven’t been to Sin of a Bun since before the Pandemic. This restaurant use not to be my first choice, the menu was pretty basic and the burgers were not different than anywhere else. But…. What a great surprise! My family was blown away by the great improvements that happened over the years! The ambient and the service, to be fair, were always great, but what really amazed us was how they modernized the men, keeping the classical options but adding some great options. The portion also seemed to have become more generous, including the sides. We ordered the waffle chicken burger, the chicken burger with blue cheese, the burger with onion ring and several sides, the chips and cheese, the chicken strips and the sweet potato chips. Oh, and they also have the Franciscan Wells IPA Chieftain, draught!! Which for me is the best IPA in Ireland. Well done guys! We will be back!

Fantastic burger place. I've had the double cheese with home fries and a pint of Chieftain's. The monthly specials are great with loads of other options to choose from

A great restaurant in Cork, in the top 3, in my opinion. The burgers are well prepared, originals, full of flavor, and enormous. They have a new temporary burger every month, and it's always a success ! My personal favorites are "Honey Monster" (one of the burger of the month) and The One. If you are not sure whether to try it or not, JUT GO FOR IT !

Heard a lot about this place. Went in for a late lunch. 3 burgers and sides where ordered. There wasn't a table available but but was given option to eat at the bar. Music was very load so was hard to hear anything. Don't go if you want a quite mesl lol. The burgers all came in broish buns the chill burgers was tasty not at all spicy but very filling. Daughter had the waffle burger and we also had the classic. Both kids had the oreo milkshakes. Where excellent creamy and very good size. We got skinny fires, onion strips plus chicken tenders. Kids thought these had no flavour. My honest opinion as the burgers are very rich that you really don't need many sides. Brioche buns are sweet and the filling are rich can be a little sickly. No alcohol just sparkling water Finally the service was fantastic and very friendly. bill came to 80 euros

Lovely HUGE burgers (S.O.B) with all the extras, bun good too!! Would have preferred the chicken wings to arrive without the sauce on, but not a showstopper. Staff v friendly.

Although no forward bookings are taken, it is certainly worth the wait. Such a wide range of burgers to cater for any taste. This time around I chose the Chicken and Waffle Burger. Who knew a waffle with maple syrup goes so well with chicken! On a side note, the chip portions are quite large so one will probably work between two people. Also, I would highly recommend the nachos if you feel like a starter. Again they are quite large so one portion will work for a few. I must say that the staff have always been very professional and friendly on all my visits here. Will be back again no doubt!

👍 Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and there were actually a number of beers that I have not seen elsewhere in the Cork area. I would not say this is a must do if visiting from abroad, b...
