We have ordered tortelloni ricotta and margarita pizza. They were quiet tasty. We have also ordered mix salad as starter but portion was too small and ingredients were quiet limited. As dessert we have ordered creme de brule. We did not like it that much because it needed to burnt more and should be served in more flat plate. Service was also slow compared how much people were working there.

I visited Il Padrino this afternoon my girlfriend and me recommended by a friend. It is a nice place to eat, the staff so good and friendly. All the atmosphere in the restaurant is familiar.

Yummy food! I didn’t seem to have a set waiter and felt ignored by some of the staff, but the food was good! Didn’t need a reservation for lunch, but don’t expect to get lucky like that for the dinner crowd. I had the baked Brie, Penne Ruspanti, and tiramisu with a cappuccino.

Food is out of this world. Very friendly staff and chefs! Book early to guarantee seating as it is always booked up in advance, when you eat there you will know why!

5 stars does not reflect our satisfaction for this place. We went as a family with baby and we were welcomed in such amazing way that we felt at home. The service from the lady pouring coffees the kind spanish waiter and the lovely manager/owner who is italian was just outstanding, polite, lovely and efficient. the prawn seafood pasta, bruscheta and rissoto were delicious, gorgeous portions and well, the prawns seafood pasta is the most delicious pasta I ever tried. For dessert we got an outstanding capuchino that was extremely well prepared and the tiramisu was the cherry in our evening. We will be back. Please book in advance as is a very busy place and many people book in advance. Thank u for tonight.

Great Italian food in an easy to find location in Cork. Cozy place with some nice ambiance, candlelight etc. The menu is broad with lots of traditional Italian dishes and a number of appetizers. Our waiter Cosimo was fantastic and made some nice recommendations. There were some gluten free pasta options and some really good desert items. We had the spaghetti with meatballs and risotto vegetarian style - both were fantastic! We also enjoyed the gluten free brownie with ice cream for desert - phenomenal. If you are tired of pub food, go here - you will not regret.

The space is lovely really cool decor and the staff are lovely but the food is sub par. I've had much better pasta elsewhere, for an Italian I felt the standard was low.

Dined there for New Years Eve - appeared our booking was lost however the hostess seated us with no issues. Servers were lovely, very attentive. Food was good and tasty no complaints! Got shots of limoncello with our bill (free of charge) was a nice touch!

I forgot the name of my dish; it was shrimp pasta with a hint of lemon. It was good pasta! The portion was pretty filling. It would be nice if the shrimp was more spicy.

Service was a little lacking. Ordered drinks and they forgot to bring them out. Couldn't get ahold of a waiter to let them know for ages and when we finally did they brought out the drinks but put them on the bill twice so we had to sit there for another 20 minutes trying to flag someone down to let them know. After that we paid with one girl and another lad came to try take payment off us again a second time even though we said we paid. The whole experience just felt a little unorganized, like they don't communicate with each other when they visit tables. The food was very good though.

Best carbonara I've had in my life, perfectly cooked. They leave the cheese at the table for you to put as much as you like. The serving might look small but it was in reality very filling.

Brilliant food, amazing service, staff are lovely. The chef turned the tin foil for my little sisters take-away into a bird, so that brought smiles all around. Would completely recommend. The atmosphere is captivating, but if possible reserve a seat, the place is fierce busy!

Such a lovely Italian Restaurant, staff were amazing and so caring. Kind of tight for space but still felt very comfortable. If going I recommend booking in advance, especially on a weekend, as it gets busy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Absolutely go here if your visiting cork, it was so good we came back for lunch the next day. The staff are super friendly, service is 10/10 and prices are reasonable for the quality ( oh my god get the squid rings please they're heavenly). Me and my partner swore we heard croatian and turns out it was one of the staff! Had a nice chat and good vibes all around. Thanks so much Il Padrino for being the highlight of our trip!

Perfect atmosphere and beautiful food! Felt like we were sitting in Italy. The food could not be faulted and our server was charming and polite. I highly recommend this restaurant

Cosy atmosphere, tortellini with mushroom sauce was tasty. Only creme brulee I think would be better if it is more burned in a wider and tinner serving.

Had no reservation arrived 5.30 got a table. Great menu my wife ordered fillet steak as she loves Italian food but hates pasta it was fantastic so tender and the sauce to die for. I had sea food pasta very tasty. I think the prawns may have been frozen nut still great. We certainly will be back. Our waiter was very helpful.
