Beautiful hotel. Joan and I have stayed here quite a few times and I cannot praise it enough. Breakfast was beautiful, especially the variety ,fresh , presented with the highest of courtesy , ask for anything, it wasn't a problem. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms were first class, lovely shower plenty hot water and anything we asked for. The staff are in a league of their own, could not have been more helpful and always so pleasant. Looking forward in returning there again in 2023. Very best of good wishes to everybody, after all, it's the people that makes the place. Grateful thanks to everyone. Marian and Joan Collins, Newcastle West , Co. Limerick

I recently had a birthday treat with my mum. We decided to do a half day Spa package. This was by far the best package we have ever encountered in Cork. Our welcome to the spa was super friendly and the changing room has lockers which are coded for your security. This way you can really & truly relax. Our treatments and our time in the spa facility were amazing and we worked up appetites for our lunch which was included in our package. Just when we thought things were really good, we were soon to experience pure perfection! We ordered a birthday cocktail (see photo)each and they were very decadent. The service was excellent but the food was absolutely mouth watering! I highly recommend the hummus (photo) and the spinach, | Sundried tomato and hazelnut quiche. Our starters mains and deserts were absolutely delicious. We could have stayed there all day drinking cocktails and watching the river flow by. We were extremely satisfied with our experience at the Kingsley. We would like to say a special thank you to Brian and their staff on the day itself for our wonderful celebration at The Kingsley. We are looking forward to our next visit! It is no surprise that they have won so many awards!

This is exactly the time when you are surprised when you visit the hotel. It is located near the city center, very clean hotel and very nice service staff. The rooms are large with all amenities. The hotel has a spa with a large outdoor jacuzzi where you can relax and watch the river flow. You can choose breakfast from the menu, where there is a really large selection and you will find the right food for you. Really great hotel and we will definitely come back again.

I was gifted a treatment to the Spa at the Kingsley Hotel Couldn't fault my experience The staff is so friendly and willing to provide the finest for the guests. The cleanness was spotless and the place is so private and lovely. Divine experience The spa (steam room, jacuzzi, sauna, out door and in door pool) was relaxing with lovely choice of essential oils in the steam room. Special thanks to(Patricia )who provided the best massage. Oh my! That was heaven. She’s well known of her job ☺️ Over all Great massage, amazing staffs & very attentive service. Very nice spa experience! Highly recommended and I will definitely come back the sooner I have a chance.😀

This is no four star hotel mid range 3 at very best . The best part of the place was the cleaning staff were ever so nice . And that's the best I could say . Restaurants took way too long very over priced ,no care to customers and had to send food back as it was over cooked . The menu was poor to little choice and normal I ok if the food was good and they perfect what they had . The room and whole hotel needed to be fixed up from fitting on was in bath rooms not being safe to hold on to which needs to be . For me it is a place I won't return and this hotel holds very fond memories in the past ,but it's gone down hill very badly , get yourself any other hotel in cork , this place is just way over priced and leaves you unhappy

Our favorite hotel we stayed in during our trip to Ireland. The rooms were beautiful with a great design and had extra special details like Rituals hand soap leaving us to want to wash our hands over and over. The beds and room was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming! The spa looked so inviting but we didn't have time to take advantage. We loved the dog statues outside to greet visitors! We were bummed out we couldn't stay longer and one night but we needed to continue out venture.

Four of us had a Spa day Yesterday, very very busy. However we were looked after so well. All Therapists were great. Mine Aoife was without doubt the best I have met, her Friendly disposition and advice re Treatment, were very impressive. I will come back to her. Afternoon Tea was gorgeous and the Staff were very good.

I worked in Cork for 3 days and stayed 2 nignhts in this hotel. Plenty of parking, fast WiFi, nice staff. I must say, I also enjoyed the hotels swimming pool and sauna. Pool was big and sauna was actually hot (This is not very common thing in Ireland where most saunas tend to be just warm and not hot.... Maybe around 50-60 C degrees only). I did not see a thermometer, but I would suspect it was around 80-90 degrees. There were other people using it too but not too many. Hotel room was quite expensive, but food in other hand was reasonably priced. ... but as it was work related trip, I cannot really complain about the cost. Definitely recommended, A++ ... and I would definitely visit again in the future.

Amazing hotel, family room is an amazing size. Staff couldn’t be anymore helpful. Breakfast has a great selection of both hot buffet and cook to order choices. We’ll be sad to leave in a few days

Currently staying in this hotel in a junior suite. Apparently guests staying in the hotel are not allowed to use the spa or even the thermal suites in the spa unless you book a treatment. We received an email when we booked stating we had free use if all the facilities, including the spa. We said we would book and pay for a treatment so we could use the spa however was then told they are fully booked. We were told the day before in reception that we can book in to the spa anytime. We won’t be staying here again and is not the kind of service you expect when you’re staying in a suite that costs £360 per night. Looks like we are paying this to stay in our room the whole time! You’ll be better off at The Maryborough as you can actually use their spa.

*spa review only* Had the most incredible treatment. My therapist was Michelle and she was so lovely and informative. Went for scrub, wrap and massage and would usually struggle to switch off. She had me feeling super relaxed to the point I didn't want to leave. Facilities are amazing. Will definitely be returning soon

The Kingsley rooms were comfortable spacious and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the shower and bath were separate and superb - powerful shower. The staff were polite, helpful and gently friendly - more water and milk brought up to the room upon request. Dinner was delicious - the steak was fabulous and they have Barry's tea- regular and decaf. The waiters in the restaurant were particularly first rate - better than ANY other hotel I have stayed in, IN THE WORLD. The atmosphere was relaxing and the walk by the river Lee helped. Really handy location in that turn right out of the hotel and you could get on the motorway quite quickly, Irene in the restaurant and all the other waiters were fabulous. The spa is the best in Cork & I know my spas.

This review is for the Spa. Just had amazing experience there with lunch, spa treatment, and thermals, and Stephanie was really helpful and kind when my friend had to leave early due to an emergency. It's amazing! Great staff, treatments, and facilities.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December and really enjoyed our stay. We've stayed in a lot of hotels in Cork and this is one of our favourites. The room was clean overlooking the car park and partially the river. It was easy to park here any time of the day. All the staff were really nice and happy to help. The pool had some rules but the people working there made sure to make it fair for everyone. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Cork.

Lovely hotel, great location for business meeting in UCC, and 30 minute walk to city centre. Very pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice and food for evening dinner was good also. Coffee machine in the room is a great touch. Lovely pool and spa area, with a fab heated outdoor pool, and in general, the public areas are nice. Also enjoyed a coffee and crepe by the riverside from the food truck out the back. The only one thing that was disappointing was the lighting in the bedroom, and the Kingsley isnt the only hotel with this issue! Seems its all about mood lighting these days, but sometimes, you need a good central light in the room. At a time where some unfortunate families may have to spend a length of time in hotels, this is something I think will need to be considered. Overall though, thank you to everyone in the Kingsley for a lovely stay.

Had a negative experience in their hotel pub, waiters were laughing about my colleague as he was struggling with some things. They also tried to overcharge him when he asked for the bill. Staff should be more professional in there. The hotel itself is nice, I’ve had many meetings and events there without issues.

Just stayed last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was amazing start to finish. I had reached out to guest relations in advance as it was our wedding anniversary and they really pulled out the stops!! We stayed in the penthouse which was beautiful. Gorgeous views. The outdoor pool was a real nightlight. Dinner followed in the restaurant. Staff were attentive and knowledgable. Definitely recommend the Kingsley! A particular thanks to Brian Maher in guest relations who made our stay seamless with personalised touches throughout.

Very professionally run hotel with amazingly helpful staff and excellent service. Good restaurants and food and a fun ambience. Some of the first floor rooms on the river side have an obstructed view but the manager was proactive in finding a way to accommodate.

Our favorite and final stay in Ireland. Plenty of parking underground. Architecture and design is elegant and gorgeous. It was easy to get from parking to our room. The room was spacious. Modern bathroom fixtures with plenty of counter space and a heated towel rack. Plenty of hot water. Strong Wi-Fi. In-room food orders is done through a a provided tablet. The TV greets you by name on a digital display instruction card. The Kingsley bills itself as being "on the river" and it certainly is as close as you can get to the River Lee. The setting is peaceful and the view is wonderful. Service is exceptional. Staff is open and friendly. Our only regret with our stay was that it was only one night.

Best hotel in Ireland! Extremely professional staff, spotlessly clean room. Health and fitness area, pool also outdoor heated pool overlooking the river, steam room and sauna. Delicious breakfast, free carpark, complimentary bike rental, luggage room, pillow menu! Ipad in each room to chat to reception, navigate etc. mini fridge in room upon request. Couldn’t have been better! Thanks, we’ll be back just for a holiday here!

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and awesome views of the river. We enjoyed the breakfast as well, which included a hot and cold buffet. Great coffee in the room too, which was a surprise! Be sure to take time to walk down the river to the park from the hotel, it was a highlight of our visit to Cork.

We really enjoyed our brief stay at the Kingsley. We booked here only a week before our trip, and we were very happy with our choice. We ate dinner at the bar and it was excellent. Breakfast was also very tasty, with both an option to order off the menu and visit the buffet. I would definitely stay here again.

Attended a dinner dance here and it was fabulous. A special mention for the food, one of the best dinner dance meals I've had. Starter of pork belly which was delicious, soup, followed by a choice of seabass or beef and then a dessert medley. The beef was really good, small selection of very well cooked vegetables which are hard to get right for big numbers. The venue itself is really lovely. It has a very luxurious feel to it but is cosy at the same time. The staff we encountered were very helpful and pleasant even if I didn't get the decaf coffee I requested (I knew it would be an ask!!). Very tempted to go back and try their restaurant as it's been a while.

Beautiful hotel in a good location right on the river, accessible to the city centre by car/public transport. The staff here were just outstanding, it was a pleasure dealing with them and nothing was too much trouble.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Kingsley Hotel. I had booked for 16 people last November for my sisters Hen party. From the very beginning the staff and reservations team (most importantly Fiona) were just fantastic. The whole day went exceptionally well with a room organized for games etc, gorgeous champagne on arrival and delicious sandwiches. We had the cocktail class organized, Molly and Cormac in the bar were exceptional they really knew what they were doing and made the whole thing so fun and inclusive, everyone got a cocktail and it was the highlight of the day for many. Dinner was phenomenal and the rooms were so beautiful, cosy and spacious... the bathrooms were also fab!! 100% recommend for any event and I will be returning for sure. Thank you to everyone who looked after us so well it was a weekend to remember!

Brilliant stay, location, and restaurant/bar. Jason in the bar is an absolute gem - had so many subtle one-liners, it killed me. And he had the most profound advice about falling backwards into a lifeboat. 💕 Grateful we happened upon The Kingsley and we hope to be back.

Had booked spa treatments and afternoon tea. Had full body massage and asked for a firm massage but it turned out it was very soft and light. The afternoon tea was well presented and had a good selection but the coffee wasn't great and I love a good cup of coffee 😋

Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. My 15 days stay here was just amazing. The facilities like gym, sauna, got water pools are very useful. I had earlier spent 30 days in one of the hotels called Bella vista suites and I had a very bad experience the so moving to this hotel helped me so much. The staff is amazing and very courteous. Will definitely want to keep going there.

Stayed here in May and it was fantastic, the room was very comfortable. Lost the one star because the full Irish is a buffet so that means not great but totally understandable considering how difficult staffing is. All other cooked options are cooked to order though. It’s not as good as the River Lee hotel which is similarly priced but still lively and the spa is excellent. Would recommend.

The hotel is very nice. One young man at the registration desk went above and beyond to help us out. One of the female bartenders was not anywhere as nice. It does have a nice breakfast in the morning as well as an outside area by the "old bathes" to enjoy food or drinks. There is a foot path nearby for a nice walk or jog as well This hotel is close to many things in Cork.

From start to finish, the whole experience was amazing, Reception Checking in and out was just a pleasure, We had dinner in the bar, the seafood chowder is divine. The Staff were so attentive and polite, The room was perfect in everyway. Breakfast was another amazing experience, from when we were greeted at the door to leaving, they best selection of the freshest food, Smoothies, everything you could ask for and more, The staff kept interacting with us throughout breakfast, it wasn't a case of 'you have your coffee and toast' and that's it, as you would see all to often in other hotels. Nothing was too much to ask for, and every member of staff we encountered had the biggest smile on their face, were so polite and helpful.

We recently got married and chose the Kingsley Hotel as the base for all our friends and family who traveled to join our celebrations. Managing logistics for 20 odd travelers is a challenge to say the least, especially when there is a trip to Spain in between all the coming and goings but the Kingsley made things so much easier. I will be forever grateful for their patience with my never-ending shuffling of guests/dates/rooms as they helped me make sure everyone had a room for the dates needed. Everyone I dealt with was so friendly, understanding and genuinely helpful. John in the bookings department especially was a godsend. He was so helpful with keeping us updated with the rooming lists, making sure our dates were correct and fielding my very numerous change requests it really made a difference in all the madness leading up the wedding. Everyone who stayed at the hotel raved about how friendly everyone was, how lovely the food was and how much they enjoyed the pool and spa facilities. We cannot thank the Kingsley team enough for their outstanding service and for helping us create the best memories for all our friends and family who stayed there for our wedding. All our guests were first-time travelers to Ireland and given how impressed they were with their experience at the Kingsley, it's safe to say Irish hospitality has not only made an impression it has raised the bar on an international scale!

We stayed here in the beginning of July 2022. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, with a great bed. The bathroom was fantastic: big, clean, with various amenities and huge shower. One evening we ordered a soup from the room service and it was tasty with a generous portions of breads and butter to go with it. The breakfast was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. There is a nice walk right from the hotel along the river to a nearby lovely park.

My friend & I stopped for a morning coffee & scone on Monday 21 Nov last. Our timing wasn’t great - we were late morning just before lunch @ 12 ….however we met a delightful young manager named Kelvin, who looked after us so well. He was delightful & so accommodating & we had a lovely coffee & scone! Well done. Great service with a smile.

I had lunch there recently and was quite disappointed. The hotel itself is beautiful and the parking is good. Lunch was expensive I thought and the portions were small but tasty. The service was slow although there seemed to be a lot of staff around. There is no system to the service , it appeared haphazard to us and no attention given to guests .If the service improved I would give it 4 stars .

Could not praise this hotel more highly. Front of house....excellent, helpful and sympathetic. Fisher's bar, Devesh was the epitome of caring. We are booked in again for May.....so looking forward to it. Five minutes drive to the centre of Cork city....could not ask for better!

Spa Review only. This spa is phenomenal. It's beautiful, full of amazing extras to enhance your service, and the staff is welcoming and warm. The sensory experience, the heated loungers, all the hydro options clearly marked and explained, it adds up to a perfect spa day. We did hot stone couples massage and it was really perfect. And as always, it's the little extras that make an experience. After our treatments we did not just get some water and a place to relax, they served us hot tea and a sweet fruit plate. What a wonderful way to continue relaxing! Access to the health club and main pool/outdoor hot tubs is a nice bonus, but the spa is separate and only for those having treatments or buying a day pass. It was quiet, serene, comfortable! Special thanks to all the staff for getting us in for the treatment we wanted on our last day in Cork and especially Nicola for her lovely welcome and orientation, really a huge enhancement to the entire experience. Although they are graded as a 4* because the hotel is a 4*, this spa is better then any 5* we have been to. Beaver Creek Ritz, W Amsterdam, Westin Riverfront Vail: all great but Kingsley beats them!

A Perfect Wedding Getaway with Luxurious Rooms and Stunning River Views I recently had the pleasure of staying at this remarkable hotel for a wedding, and it exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the magnificent wedding facilities to the spacious and luxurious rooms with breathtaking river views, this hotel truly offers an unforgettable experience. The wedding facilities were nothing short of amazing. The venue was tastefully decorated, creating a romantic and elegant atmosphere that perfectly complemented the joyous occasion. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was meticulously taken care of, making the wedding celebration an absolute delight. The food served at the wedding was exceptional. Upon entering my room, I was immediately impressed by the comfort and spaciousness it offered. The luxurious furnishings and attention to detail created an ambiance of indulgence and relaxation. The highlight, however, was undoubtedly the views of the river. Waking up to such a breathtaking sight was a truly unforgettable experience. In the morning, I eagerly made my way to the breakfast area and was greeted with a wide variety of delectable options. From fresh fruits and pastries to cooked-to-perfection hot dishes, the breakfast selection was impressive. The food itself was of exceptional quality, and enjoying it while overlooking the beautiful view made the experience even more delightful. The hotel's facilities, including the pool and spa, added an extra layer of indulgence to my stay. The pool area was pristine, inviting guests to relax and unwind. The attentive staff members were always on hand to assist with any needs, ensuring that every moment spent at the hotel was met with warmth and professionalism. In conclusion, this hotel provided a perfect getaway for the wedding I attended. From the magnificent wedding facilities to the comfortable and luxurious rooms with stunning river views, every aspect of my stay was exceptional. The wide variety and deliciousness of the breakfast offerings, coupled with the beautiful view, were a great way to start each day. The additional facilities, such as the pool and spa, further enhanced the experience. Above all, the friendly and attentive staff created a welcoming atmosphere that made my stay truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for any special occasion or simply for a luxurious retreat.

My partner & I stayed for one night while on a business trip. The room itself was lovely. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom with Rituals toiletries & basic tea/coffee making facilities. We decided to have bar food & this is where we were both hugely disappointed. Vastly overpriced for what we got. I'm aware it's a 4* hotel, & the prices reflect that, but seriously I've had better in a chipper. My partner got the chicken dish & again, the dish was not worth the price. It was the same menu as the restaurant which I find bizarre. Anyhow. A decent place to stay but you'd be better to avoid the bar food.
