It has lifted my faith from having kimchi fried rice and nasi goreng. Undoubtedly one of the worst places I have visited in Ireland. There is no flavour in the food and kimchi. Utterly disappointed. Would rate it negative stars if there was such a choice.

Unfortunately pad thai was bland, no spice despite request for spicy. Called restaurant to let them know, they did not offer to rectify the issue. Kway teow goreng also had uncooked vegetables in it. Spent €50 there, will not again

love this place, so far best Asian cuisine I have eaten in Ireland. My favourites are pepper sauce noodles and kimchi ramen. Taste is very authentic to Asian dishes, veggies still have a bite to them. Plenty of vegetarian option as well. Their kimchi is taste and reminds me of the kimchi we used to get from a Korean lady, when we were living abroad. Friendly staff. You can eat inside too, but keep in mind that this place is more a take away rather than dine in. The raised table is on the side that way you are a bit separated from serving area and walk ins.

Amazing little gem in Cork 💎 so many vegan options! I tried the Satay Noodles with Seitan. It was delicious! My friend had the crispy beef dish and he loved it. They were generous with the seitan and beef too. Lovely, friendly staff that happily greeted and recommended what to try. Would happily return to this place!

Malay Kitchen have their own take on street food in Cork City, delicious, cooked right in front of you with a very vast menu , definitely worth a visit . This site is mainly takeaway but they have a restaurant in Kinsale ...

Have switched to this establishment in recent times due to bad food, service and attitude by a nearby Asian take away. I use this when I need a fast bite, rather than a restaurant experience. Staff here have always been friendly, informative and certainly know authentic Asian cuisine. They cook in front of you which is very transparent. The Asian lady is spot on and we discussed the Sambal paste which they sell in jars, and several others as well. The 2 dishes, I mainly order are Singapore Noodles (proper rice noodles) and Ramen Laksa. Both authentic and downright delicious with frwsh ingredients and good quality protein. Not overloaded with MSG, soya sauce etc. Very close to what one gets in the countries of origin. Had a chat with other patrons who were dining in and all were very happy long term customers. This is not just for students!! FYI: Sit in available in a small area without alcohol licence. I'm really looking forward to tasting many more dishes as I have no cooker during renovations!!Thanks to all at Malay Kitchen, Cork for keeping it to the Asian tradition and restoring my faith in Cork take aways of this nature.

Love the fantastic warmth from all of them. Love the simple decor. Owner and us got so excited to know we came from the same shore. Lovely and very friendly owner. Had a good time with Ella. She made us feel at home. Food n snack was really good. Thank you Ella.

This is my 3rd takeaway from Malay kitchen. I got the rendang the first time -amazing the second the chili beef - loved , lastly I got the massaman curry and I was sadly disappointed. It was bland , no salt no flavor . I added salt and a touch of chilli to add flavor . It was tasteless, hopefully my 4th time will be better as I would like to try other dishes.

After a day hiking, rushing, loosing my credit card, with not much too eat.. Oh my god ending the day here with my friends was the best thing of the week. The staff is friendly and adorable, open to request/customisations. Offering free samples to taste... The food was to die for, the most comforting curry ramens I ever had. Creamy, mild and the quantity was huge!! Shout out to the caramel square, loved ending on that sweet treat ♥️

I got a beef rendang and veg samosa takeaway. The flavor of the rendang was a well balanced and richly spiced dish .When you order you can say if you want it spicy. For my liking it had far too much onions in it that were chopped fairly big but this is just personal preference . Also they should add more beef because I felt like I had more potatoes and onions than beef. The samosa’s are small bite size ones that were crispy and had a flavorful veg filling. Will go again to try some of their other dishes. Overall flavor is definitely there!

I had the beehoon soto and my partner had the met goring. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t as authentically Malaysian/Singaporean as I expected. It was tasty, but the flavours weren’t quite accurate. I’d still recommend it because there are a lot of vegan options, which is always appreciated. It’s a small place, so seating is limited. Also, no toilets available for customers.

Food was pretty good, but they weren’t as accommodating with additional requests. The fried rice is a little dry, the curry was decent but I recommend adding sriracha or another sauce to any dish.

I decided to give Malay Kitchen a go after seeing all the good reviews (but wasn't expecting amazing authentic asian food). Gosh, was I utterly disappointed.. the Vietnamese pho was just not worthy of being called pho. The 5 star review from the person saying this was the best pho they've ever, must be fake or they're completely clueless as to what pho is supposed to taste like. I would highly recommend the owners take this off their menu, as it isn't worth offering and a waste of €11.

Tried the crispy chilli beef. Very tasty and crispy as the name suggested. I am sure the other menus are great as well. Friendly staff, they even gave us two bottle iced teas on the house. They even sell separate paste such as sambal and rendang paste. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good Malaysian food around cork. They have another branch in Kinsale. Halal meat and vegan alternatives are offered.

Came here cuz i miss indonesian food, food was okay, but far from my expectations. Nice place, i order Soto, Duck rolls, and pad thai, pad thai was nice, but not so much with soto and rolls

Accidentally found this place when rushing to the tour bus. A small shop serving Malay foods. It's not easy to find my own kind-of-food far away from South East Asia. But yea, should try one of our local dish - rendang.
