Me and my boyfriend just went for some dinner, the service was incredible! The food was even better. The staff are very friendly, when I spoke to them in Spanish they seemed surprised and it was nice to practice it as I don’t get to do it often. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were very fresh. Didn't expect to find such a great Mexican place in a narrow side street in Cork...very recommendable, especially the combo platter for two....would have loved to try the Margaritas there but had to drive....

Nice ambience. Food looks pretty. But it lacks the spice and Mexican punch. The deserts were yummy.

Decent portion sizes, tasty food. Love the jalapeno poppers! The churros are delicious 🤤 Friendly staff, love the aesthetic and the music too.

Being a mexican food fan went here for dinner. The place had a really different vibe. The ambience was good. Tried chicken tacos it was really good. The rice that came with tacos was good too. After reading the reviews tried the churros too. Definitely must try churros. Friendly staffs too. Will come back soon.

First time here, based on the good reviews. Really tasty food, huge portions! Proper authentic food, staff were friendly and very nice. Will definitely be back here again to try more things from the menu. Nicely decorated too, would highly recommend anyone looking for great Mexican food! Sangria was 👌🏻 also! Very nice and cute place. We reached at 22pm and thankfully we still got to order and eat inside. The food was delicious and the staff was kind and always smiling. The music played is also very nice. Recommend anyone to try.

It was my very first time experiencing mexican food in a such wonderful and traditional restaurant. And I loved it 😋 !! I'm not food lover used to spicy dish but thank the awareness and generosity of Carlos and his amazing fellows, I've been able to finish lunch 😁. I ordered an flavorsome aztec soup as appetizer and a soft chilli agave. Both conquered me 😊. But the best was the main course cooked with a surprising sweet chocolate sauce enhanced by spices 😋. I highly recommend !!

Nachos, enchiladas and margaritas! Couldn’t go wrong here. Everything was delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer. Rushed only to catch a bus but I could have stayed for hours. I did think the enchiladas were delicious but thought they could have been a bit spicy, they aren’t spicy at all. Good to know I will get a more spicy one next time! If you’re worried about spice don’t be.

Very good small restaurant, the dishes are typical, well prepared and not too expensive. Great care taken with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Very good experience overall. Options for vegetarian dishes are available as well as dishes for children I recommend for the change of scenery and the experience

A deserving 5 stars, top 3 places in cork city that I have visited easily- could possibly even be number 1. Perhaps another visit will cement it's place up there- we will definitely see in the future as I will most definitely return. Greeted by a lovely and polite gentleman, kick-starting the evening with great customer service. A lovely boutique Mexican atmosphere was soon followed by the main event, beautifully presented main course with an aroma of unique original and organic Mexican flavours that made this meal one of the most enjoyable I have had in cork city. The spices, flavours and accompaniment were beautifully balanced to give my taste buds a most pleasurable and unforgettable experience. This was then followed by original churros and hot chocolate, the most authentic and most delicious of which I have found here in Cork city. All in all a 10/10. A truely enjoyable experience and one that I will most definitely have again.

It’s was my first time visiting a Mexican restaurant in Ireland. I’m Mexican American and know when you find good Mexican food anywhere in the world and this is as close as you get- it’s like eating at abuelitas (nanas) house in Mexico. Take a look at the pictures to see the goodness of the good I ordered. It was flautas, tacos, albóndigas, and fish I’ll come back and edit exactly what it was on the menu.

We had a great experience here! Had some finger licking good mexican food (nacho’s, steak taco’s and dessert) in this small but cozy restaurant! Thanks to the nice music, food and decoration we experienced great Mexican vibes! Also not too expensive; mains are around 20 euros. Dessert 6 euros. Would really recommend this place :) Also credits to the lovely brother and sister running this place👏🏻

Fantastic Mexican restaurant. Went there following a recommendation from family that live in Cork. They were not wrong! We had the trio of mains shared between two. Chicken chemichanga, fish tacos and beef burrito all superb.

One of my favorite restaurants in Cork. Delicious food, enormous portions, polite staff and really nice ambient. I will definitely come back to this place.

Reserved table for 5 but got there only to be given a 4 seater and it took multiple requests to get the 5th seat and place setting. Food was fantastic, generous portions and very reasonable! Cocktails were all great as well. Service was very slow to get attention but more than likely because they were so busy, but the staff were very friendly and got all orders correct. Food service was quick so I can't fault that. Will be back! Highly recommend the Molé!

Honestly, me and my boyfriend have been travelling around Ireland and have eaten in many places. This was the best and nicest food I've had yet. We both sharde the combination for 2 appetiser and then we had "Mole" and "Pollo En Crema De Chipotle" for our main course and both dishes were outstanding flavours ☺️100% try the second main course I mentioned. Staff were 10/10, attentive, patient and kind. Loved the whole ambience and music inside. It was great experience overall. Try if passing Cork.

I’ve been to Cafe Mexicana Twice by now as part of a business trip. Their food is always so delicious. My first visit, I’ve tried the beef burrito and the meat was so tasty and so tender it melted in my mouth. Yesterday we got nachos to share, so different than what I would expect but in a very good way. The tomato sauce brought so much life to the dish, they were loaded with delicious cheese and enough jalapeños to give it that good amount of spiciness. As main dish I got the chipotle chicken and this will surely become my regular order! Spicy but flavourful, the mushrooms added the perfect touch to the dish. The chicken breast was very tender and the rice was cooked to perfection. The service is always very kind. I fully recommend this place! Will be going again for sure.

Love the design and all the decorations, food was amazing as well. Just be aware of chicken tacos is a bit spicy(seemed not shown on menu) , but fish was totally fine!

Good authentic Mexican food found in Ireland is pretty rare, but this is good stuff. The margaritas in particular are delicious. They have a full menu, but the light bites are fairly limited. Really just popped in for margaritas, but we were told if ordering drinks you have to order food. Not a problem because the food was delicious, but not a lot of offerings to share. The place is very small and tables are very close to each other. Service was pleasant enough. They also have coffee offerings.

Churros are quite delicious and they are serving it with ice cream. Staff is friendly. I expected to have crispy taco bread but it was the same as market taco bread, it was soft and was like a lavash from tesco.

Wonderful restaurant, decor is very colourful, staff are wonderful and very helpful! Food is fantastic every time, never been disappointed here. Quality is always consistent. Great portion sizes and good value for money. Always recommend for a meal out either for a casual lunch or for celebrating!

The food is really delicious and fresh. Cocktails are also good. The main issue is that the place is very small and they tend overbook. Even though i had a reservation i was seated in an uncomfortable table stuck to the reception, and the waiter was handing plates to the reception over my head.

Staff are friendly, food is absolutely delicious and good portions. The place looks very nice inside, they have 2 floors + small outdoor area at the front. Vegetarian options.

I loved this place. I’m surprised last week was my first time as I’m living in Cork for years. The food was lovely. We had jalapeño poppers for starter (shared between two, fine big portion!) and tacos for main. Lots of fillings to choose from and many other dishes as well. We had margaritas and they were lovely. Will be back!
