While visiting the beautiful city of Cork we went into Nash 19. we were met with a very stern looking "lady" who very abruptly told us to "stand there" beside a menu. from the moment that we were seated we heard the constant dinging of a bell to summon her poor staff to hurry up to deliver food. One young waitress was crying and the rest of the staff looked terrified of her. to be honest she reminded me of a cotton plantation owner in Americas deep south. the constant barking at her staff was hard to listen to the abuse that they took was awful. i would advise any young person looking for employment to avoid this establishment like the plague. as for my food it could only be described as a burnt offering. This place is vastly over rated and NOT worth a visit, NEVER AGAIN!

OMG. Dont know what to say. The food was OK. Good Value. Service was not great, I'd actually call it poor. The lady manager is a fruitcake. I have never seen a person disrespect & chastise staff so much. Disgusting behaviour. A proper nut. A Bully. I actually wanted to intervene but decided to leave instead. Don't give this mediocre cafe the time of day ..........

The food is okay I guess, bit on the pricey side. But that doesn’t really matter. That’s not what I come here for. As a sadist, this is the perfect place to come and witness the manager absolutely tear in to her staff. It’s mostly just shouting, stern looks, emotional abuse etc. Not always enough to put a strain on the chastity cage. For that reason I’m only giving 4 stars. Would love to see some Impact Play.

The food was good, beautifully presented. This place has a good reputation, but the service was poor. Nobody really seemed to have any interest in serving, avoiding eye contact at all costs and walking past customers that were clearly signally for service. It wasn’t just us, it was all guests on this day, and it wasn’t busy. Very expensive for what you get.

The owner, Claire Nash, loudly berating staff throughout the whole meal turned me off. I felt really bad for the young Erasmus students trying to do their best and it not seeming to be good enough. The food wasn’t great either for the price. The decor is nice so it’s understandable why this place would attract tourists, but locals know that the owner is hard work.

Never tried the food but I’m sharing my experience with Nash 19. Applied for part time kitchen porter role and they called for training. Made us do all work including cleaning utensils, scrubbing and cleaning steel sheet on walls, clear waste etc. Worked for 5-6 hours and was asked to leave saying they’ll contact later. Didn’t even pay for 6 the hours hectic work. Not a good place at all to work. Didn’t care about trying their food later.

The owner or manager of this place is awful! Myself and 2 friends were waiting for a table since the food looked nice, when this woman began barging around full on screaming at nearly all the waitresses. Like in their face screaming. I was so disturbed to see someone act so unprofessional in front of customers. The waitresses all couldn’t have been more than 20 year old and to see someone shout so vilely at them was just gross. If she is a manager she needs to be fired for gross unprofessionalism. I have 2 stars because the waitresses were very kind.

We came here on Thurday for lunch. Staff friendly and welcoming. Ordered the Nash Burger which was nice. Seafood Chowder looked unreal. Bit pricy though, we were charged for the water on the table. Overall had a lovely afternoon here and will be returning.

Absolutely horrific owner. Witnessed her constantly shouting at, actively embarrassing, and verbally harassing her staff each and every time I was anywhere near Nash 19, as a customer or otherwise. If you wish to support or even just respect people in the service industry do so by showing the management of this place how unacceptable her behaviour is with your wallet and avoid at all costs.

Thought I would give the place the benefit of the doubt despite hearing very mixed reviews. Don't give this place your custom. Owner is incredibly rude to her staff and to patrons of the place. Berated a female member of staff for not being busy despite the fact she was clearly completing some tasks and looked run off her feet. Service staff were good but it took nearly 30 minutes for our food and two coffees to arrive, which were rather cold. When we spoke with the owner about this she had an incredible attitude and essentially blaming us for being too demanding so walked out.

Food is always phenomenal, particularly the desserts. Owner is a well-known personality whose management style might not be to your taste, but who can argue that this is a multi-award winning and beloved restaurant? Aoife our server was excellent.

There is one glaring issue with this place… the attitude of the owner. She made us completely uncomfortable. We walk in and we feel like a deer caught in headlights. She abrasively complains at us for trying to sit down and then we see her shouting at customers. The reddit page was right about this place… A great bit of entertainment when its not at you!

Best food in town, by far.Yes its expensive but food this good has to be. I don't think it's over priced.Mlle Nash is a legend, enjoy her food, and appreciate her cafe perfection...give her your rage if you feel its deserved but be very kind to her staff.

The food was good , however the attitude of the owner was appalling. Her treatment to staff and customers was off putting! Waiters and staff trying their best and being treated like that is unprofessional. We were even treated poorly and felt uncomfortable waiting to be seated! Will not be returning!

The owner of the place tends to be rude both with clients and employees. Food might be good, but it is not enough as a good restaurant experience should imply a good customer service.

While my cup of coffee was lovely and mince pie was nice but a bit too sweet and too hot to my liking. Service was fair, I had to ask several times about my order and likewise for my bill. I was there between 11.30 and 12. At most it was a disappointing experience. I was expecting more

Called in for scone and a latte recently and everything about the place is a ten. Lovely welcome, service was excellent, latte and scone were yum and it’s just a lovely atmosphere. I even bought a bag of muesli when leaving it all felt so good.

When plenty of the places to eat brunch in Kinsale on Sundays are closed, this restaurant was open early, and the smell of coffee drew us all in. Everyone in our party had delicious breakfast omelettes and cappuccinos. Staff are attentive and friendly so it was a great breakfast choice

This restaurant was great. The typical Irish breakfast was delicious and available as Small portion as well. The waitresses were humorous and very friendly. The dining area looks nice but felt a bit like a hall way

Came to Nash19 in Princes Street, Cork. 1st dinner after Covid-19 lockdown. Staff super. Had the Sashimi and then a Charcuterie and cheese platter. Gorgeous. Had a great evening. Was recommended by a local and its a good recommendation. Limited menu, but was right for what we were looking for.

Had breakfast - French toast was delicious. Cappuccino (mahers - tiny cup) was €4.25 - absolutely extortionate !!!

Good is good, fresh and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere is bit cold and clinical in my opinion.

A Cork treasure. When visiting Cork, a stop at Nash 19 is a must. Fresh, innovative, delicious food and an ever changing menu. Add warm, friendly service and a venue that honors the arts and you have the recipe for a 5-star experience. The Banoffee pie is decadent and delicious.
