If you want a light, tasty and healthy lunch in Cork then this is the place for you. A great variety of fresh sushi, sashimi, etc. The platters are really good. Staff are very nice and they tell you how long everything will take to prepare. Limited seating though. This is a well established eatery in the city for good reason.

I heard a lot of good things about this place but never tasted anything from here until today...and I have to say that all the good recommendations I got from people are true! I like sushi so I went with the party platter. The platter looks so good the way it's served that you get hungry just looking at it. And the taste of sushi is excellent! Soya sauce, wasabi, ginger are included. The price is good for the quality and quantity. I think it's one of the best sushi (maybe the best) in Cork. It is not a large shop but they offer dining in, take away and delivery. The staff are very friendly. They patiently answered and explained all my questions.

Perfect little spot on a rainy day - I asked at the counter for vegan options, and the staff member there was a little thrown initially. We settled on a selection of vegan sushi and a small bowl of miso soup in the end. Both were delicious, and I was very happy with my food. Space is at a premium, though, so I wouldn't recommend coming in with several shopping bags and an umbrella on a miserable day. However, it's a cosy place and once you're seated, it's kinda hard to leave. I love coming here, and it's somewhat of a Cork institution by now. Well worth supporting a small, local business rather than going for some big chain food which you can get anywhere.

Wow! The quality of fish and freshness of the food was fantastic. We were really surprised by the high standard which you would expect of a top sushi restaurant. We had a tuna/salmon set and a seafood curry. The curry was spicy but so well balanced to enhance the quality of ingredients. The staff are fun and passionate about their food. They were so helpful accomodating my allergies with such ease. When I'm back in Cork I will make a beeline for this place.

We ordered 1 Sake (Salmon) Nigiri for starter and from the hot food menu, we ordered 1 Korean Fried Chicken & 1 Japanese Curry with tofu. As for the Japanese Curry, other than tofu, the other options are chicken or prawns. The sushi is dry and not fresh but I guess okay for the price. When they served us the curry, it was some sauce in a bowl with vegetables sans the tofu. The waitress simply said, and I quote “we ran out of tofu, would you like an egg?” without even running it by us first if we still wanted the curry without the tofu (especially because the other options are with meat) or even offering us a single ‘sorry’! We agreed for an egg substitute. Another waiter came later with a bowl of diced raw tofu (not an egg). He said “we just forgot to add the tofu in, I can take it back to the kitchen to mix them in if you want?” We absolutely do not mind if it is an honest mistake and all the staffs were super lovely (well except the one who claimed they ran out of tofu but actually forgot) but we feel like they have been dishonest with us. What disappointed us the most is the curry itself. It seems like they’ve used some sort of cube instead of fresh ingredients and forgot to heat it and stir properly. We found so many lumps and chunks of undissolved curry paste and it made eating hard as you have to sort the lumps out. We will never go again.

The sushi is amazing, one of the best in Cork for sure. I love how they pack the takeaway sushi and the prices are very good for the quality of the product. I just had a small issue one day when they were supposed to be open at 1 and they weren't yet (they asked me to wait 15 minutes) so I couldn't get sushi as I would have been late otherwise. But overall I LOVE this place and I'll definitely keep getting sushi here. Also, probably the only place in the city centre who does takeaway sashimi!

Great sushi however this time we had ramen and were extremely disappointed, quite literally the worst ramen ive ever had in my life. It was incredibly stale and tasteless. Not to mention the very small serving of noodles on my part, and the dry chicken. Instant noodles are far better. We were quite shocked at how bad it was and had to get more food afterwards. When we told the staff about it we only got an apology from the waitress, no financial compensation and no apology from the chef who seemed completely indifferent about our situation. Still I leave 4 stars as the sushi is really good.

I was craving ramen, so I went to the place I used to frequent, but it was too busy. Luckily, I checked Google Maps and found this restaurant. Thank goodness for that – I really enjoyed the food here. I tried the chicken dumplings ramen, and my friend ordered curry shrimp ramen. Both of us enjoyed the food. We even added dashi to our list of favorites in Cork !

Don’t eat noodle soup here. I can’t speak for the sushi but we ordered two different ramens and couldn’t eat them. They were around €12 each but very small (Cereal bowl-sized). The chicken in one was dry and cut into chunks, with overcooked noodles and a broth that tasted like watery chicken noodle soup. The pork in the other was nice but the noodles were mush and the broth was also flavourless - more like beef stock with soy. I don’t usually like to criticise food venues but I felt very ripped off. 2 minute noodles would have been preferable, we had to get a kebab after.

I came here yesterday, as I do every Friday and ordered the Japanese curry. Honestly the best in cork, tofu so perfectly cooked and the staff all lovely and accommodating!

Very unpleasant experience. Accidentally walked in before opening to ask were they open. The door 🚪 was actually open. Was summarily dismissed from the premises. Incredibly obnoxious staff. Not even interested in hearing an apology for our mistake. Not how to treat the public. Omg. Btw I rarely leave bad reviews... ever.

Super delicious food. We ordered pork belly ramen with extra egg, you can customize and add toppings. The bowl was super big and yummy. My boyfriend also ordered sushi, you can order by portion, roll and by individual pieces. The staff was super nice and helpful. The place is small but cosy and welcoming, with a nice seat by the window

These guys post on "Too Good To Go" and then cancel the order less than an hour before pickup and close up shop. Poor show. In response to the below: "the Store may cancel the Reservation Order up until two hours before the beginning of the agreed time of Pick-up"... Per the terms and conditions. Maybe ye didn't read them! 😂

Staying in Cork for work and fancied a bite. Happened to just walk past this little gem and decided to give it a go. Wow! Bluddy amazing sushi and a great Massaman curry with noodles. Really friendly staff and quite a cool cosey atmosphere inside. Will definitely be revisiting if I’m coming to Cork again.

Wonderful sushi and maki rolls. Got there toward closing and their food was still fresh and looking great. Highly recommend their casual and friendly setting. Fantastic prices as well!

The tempura prawn temaki is my favourite food ever! Small casual little place, a hidden gem. Sit in or take away, lovely delivered too for a night in but order ahead of time.
