Excellent thin crust, wood fired pizza. They have several pizza options including margherita and bianca as well as a create-your-own pizza. There's a large covered patio with short and long tables. You can get local beers at the pub at the front.

This is for Sunday 10th October ABSOLUTE CLASS, coming from a guy who was in Rome 3 weeks ago! Pizza was class! Salsiccia! Nice and light. (Ffs forgot to get a picture of the cross section!) Drizzled some olive oil on top as well! Keep them pizzas flying out the oven with a nice pint!

Pompeii Pizza is located in the large beer garden at the rear of the Franciscan Well Bar. They are a little gem offering a variety of delicious freshly made to wood oven pizzas with staff know what they are doing! My personal favourites are the "Margherita Irlandese" or the "Salsiccia"! The wood fired oven and the staff's expert knowledge delieve pizzas with a brilliant crispy and a perfectly puffed up edge/crust. The centre is lovely and gooey with the fresh cheese and the base holds its shape however, its not the most rigid sometimes. One thing to note is that the edge/crust can be a bit charred and that might not be to everyone's liking however, I don't mind it! Update 26-Aug-2023: My Fiancé ordered the Garlic bread and she got them to drizzle some balsamic vinegar over it, it was delicious! If you are not feeling a whole pizza I highly recommend getting the garlic bread as a small snack! On location: If you are planning on dining in the Fran Well Pompeii will give you a buzzer so that you can return to your table while you wait. You'll know that your pizza is ready when the bizzer lights up constantly and starts vibrating! Delivery: Pompeii Pizza is in partnership with Deliveroo and can be ordered off of the Deliveroo App which makes it handy if you are not feeling going out but still want that wood fired pizza taste! Wheelchair Accessibility: The beer garden is very spacious with plenty of space to maneuver around tables for wheelchair users. However, as I am not a wheeel chair user myself, I am not entirely sure where the wheelchair entrance is located in the beer garden. It is also worth noting that I have not noticed a wheelchair friendly toilet in the Fran Well but hopefully I am wrong! Overall: I have to say there is nothing better than a cold beer from the Fran Well and a fresh Pompeii pizza!

The pizza crust is superb, but the bottom of the pizza tends towards a bit too limp and the toppings aren't always the best pairing. The atmosphere is wonderful though!

Clean 5 stars well earned - Best Pizza in Cork by a mile. I'm a regular for quite some time and I've been told to check out the other Pizza place at Tom Barry's. Been there and never went back again. Maybe it depends on where you come from in Italy, but hands down, Pompeii delivers the best dough in town. Keep up the great food!

I went there for say goodbye to my friend on my last day in Cork as Pompei pizzeria it's always been my favourite. But last Friday when I went to ask if they can do a basic pizza without tomato sauce and mozzarella just a easy one like focaccia they just say to Me "No". I was so disappointed that I couldn't aspect a refusing for a simple request.

The atmosphere here is very good, lots of people on the weekend and many tasty pints. As for the pizza, it's one of the best and most authentic in Cork, although sometimes it was slightly worse than others. Maybe it also depends on the day and the person who cooks it. However, as an Italian, I can only recommend Pompeii, go there and try it yourself 😋

Tasty stone fire pizza in a brewery. Most of the seating is outside, but it’s somewhat heated. Food is very quick, and the beer is excellent! Also, on a night when a reservation was needed most other places in Cork, we didn’t need one here, which was a relief.

Onsite ground flour really makes a difference. The dough is unbelievably fluffy with the perfect amount of bite to it. Dollops of well spiced toppings combine with this dough to leave you wanting more. One Nduja pizza was enough to feed two people. This is also a great establishment for allergy sufferers as allergens associated with each dish are listed on the menu.

Had actually gone to the brew pub next door and got hungry (the pizzas smell incredible. Must be an agreement with Franciscan Well, so easy enough to order the pizza with drinks. Very good pizza and nice ambiance.

Hands down the best pizza in Ireland. Simply delish! Pair it with a pint or two of delicious beer and you're in heaven. We have and will come back as soon as we can!

Fabulous beer Garden at the back of the Franciscan well bar! A hidden gem! I was here before when things were normal Hot BBQ Grilled tastiest food served while you drink Great music played here too! Fine big place Ale brewery here too all kinds of Tastie Ales made on site! Well recommended!

Not only the pizzas are FABULOUS, but also they have a great service and really nice atmosphere. The pizza in the photo is the Contadina Bianca, with black pudding, pear and blue cheese - strong, but exquisite and tasteful.

Staff were not aware of online order. Ordered 8 pizzas online 22 hrs ahead of scheduled pick-up at 1.00 pm on August 12th. Received an order confirmation and payment was processed immediately but when I arrived to pick up the pizzas the staff were not aware of the order. Had to drive back to West Cork empty handed. Was told the manager would call me. It is now August 15th and silence!!!!

Well worth tracking down. One of the finest pizzas ever! You know it’s going to be good when it’s made from locally sourced ingredients, flour milled on site, and cooked in minutes in a flaming hot pizza oven. We had the vegan Margarita, Marinara and Nduja and a Quattro Formaggi. All superb. The home made vegan mozzarella was a big plus! Clean plates and none of us felt stuffed as so often happens after pizza. I guess this was down to the lovely thin bases and incredibly light fluffy and crisp bake. Awesome. Find it!!
