A must-visit when in Cork City - the green and gorgeous UCC grounds, the building, the fab shop and staff but most importantly a wonderful art programme to enjoy!

The Glucksman is a prominent museum known for creative learning and visual arts. It's a part of UCC. Situated at the main entrance to UCC on Western Road, this place is an award-winning building that has display spaces, lecture facilities, a riverside restaurant and gallery shop. The outside architecture of this museum along with the trees surrounding it makes this place look exceptionally extravagant. I enjoyed my time there!

A wonderful space with a thought provoking exhibition. There was no rush to get around and the fact the we arrived early allowed us to really take our time and absorb the atmosphere.

went to the Christmas craft fair, lots of amazing stalls with fabulous hand made goods, it was my first time in the Glucksman and I was really impressed by the sheer chunk of concrete and massive glass structure.

We went to the Glucksman for the annual craft fair. Excellent variety of stalls and we didn't feel it was too crowded. Pity the coffee bar isn't open though.

The coffee shop is good. The building is interesting but needs some maintenance. Finally the artwork was varied but sparse.

I have visited it several times. The last exhibition I saw was in February 2020. The theme was educational needs. That one I really liked. The cafeteria is excellent as well.

A great art gallery and an amazing use of space. Close to the city it offers food and coffee and a space to reflect or catch up with friends. Free entry so another reason to visit. Nice gift shop too. Kid friendly.

Beautiful building, the art was okay, but it's free so I can't really complain. If your looking for something to see while in the area, and see Cork University, then stop by this place. However it is not something I would go out of my way for.

Excellent insightful exhibitions and their use of QR readers. The buildings architecture sitting in woodland with large window views to the gardens is very relaxing and gives a great sense if space. Well worth a visit on the city's edge.

A must see! Wonderful setting and architecture, quality exhibitions and a great shop to find beautiful and original objects. Shame that I could not test the café. Next Time...

Love this place. Staff are always very nice and always has an interesting exhibition on. Even better when the cafe is open which has fantastic food.

It's a great spot, spacious and modern with a very interesting shop. Felt that the current exhibition didn't make the best of the space that was available. Lovely views from the upper floor.

An impressive building and interesting art exhibition, but did not seem to make the best use of space. Was free and quite interactive for kids. The staff we spoke to were very helpful. Not that easy to find though. Once there, was not sure if it was open and if exhibition was there as it was upstairs and felt like you were walking into an empty building.

Attended a beautiful exhibition from the Lantern Project from Nano Nagle Place. What a perfect setting for this heart based community project. The Glucksman provided an honoring space to hold the participants. Right in the heart of UCC Campus

(Translated by Google) The building is breathtaking. Since the available land was not large, the first floor is very small, but above that the building expands noticeably. It houses changing exhibitions of modern art on various topics. However, I have already seen more exciting exhibitions. The building should be seen.

Table of four for bunch. Four different options picked. One was gluteen free. Food and service was of a great standard. Nice building and setting also. Thumbs up from me, would definitely recommend.

Nice museum with a lovely café inside. The art that was displayed was a bit more on the conceptual side but very interesting anyway :) also there is a very nice bookstore inside!

An oasis in the academy of UCC. Lovely inside out building with lovely views of the College gardens and Cork City. Combine your visit with a snack or meal in the restaurant

Came to see the gallery and unfortunately it was closed on Sunday, despite the website stating the contrary. There was no information on the website as to why it was closedand we were there well before the 17h00 closure time posted on their website. There were other people there that we met that were equally perplexed by the galleries unexplained closure. Information to let us now why would have been appreciated.

Fantastic building lots of space could have loads more exhibits

Probably the finest museum in Cork. Admission is free, and you'll find new exhibtion every few months. There's also a small souvenirs shop that sells a lot of interesting book at mostly fair prices. The building can be considered a piece of art itself which resembles rationalist architecture.

Great Craft and design fair on when visiting. The building is a modern gallrty in a traditional / period setting of UCC's main campus. It works.

Beautiful building, interesting exhibit but the toilets let it down.

Overall, it was an okay experience. The cafe was aesthetically pleasing and the staff were lovely. It was 1:15pm so it was a real shock to find out that they were only serving the brunch menu at that time. We had to wait 20 minutes for 2 slices of toast, and the food was cold. I was quite disappointed as I was expecting more from such a beautiful cafe.

  • 1/5 Aileen A. 4 years ago on Google
Very poor use of a large exhibition area, exhibition was dull to say the least, place was lifeless at peak tourism time, could be using this to show little known, struggling local artist! Generally disappointed & I had brought visitors!!
