Let's
start
out
with
location.
On
top
of
the
big
hill
far
away
from
pretty
much
everything.
If
you
are
walking
to
the
main
areas
of
Cork,
be
prepared
to
get
a
good
leg
workout.
Our
arrival
at
the
hotel
was
hostile.
The
woman
behind
the
desk
was
irritated
for
some
reason,
and
talked
down
to
us.
She
was
not
very
friendly.
The
room
was
spacious,
but
there
was
no
climate
control
of
any
kind.
It
is
an
old
Georgian
style
building,
so
it
makes
sense,
however,
they
can
be
built
in.
The
room
was
warm
from
the
open
curtains,
the
only
source
of
cooling
was
to
open
the
windows.
There
were
stains
in
the
carpet,
on
the
curtains
(see
pictures),
and
the
sitting
chairs
were
a
little
retro
looking
and
not
very
comfortable.
The
bed
was
comfortable,
but
the
comforter
was
much
too
heavy.
The
bathroom
sink
had
either
hot
or
cold
separate
faucets
(see
picture).
You
cannot
get
warm
water
at
all.
What
a
poor
design
choice.
The
cleaning
staff
had
shut
the
drain
to
the
sink,
and
it
took
us
forever
to
figure
out
how
to
open
the
drain
cap.
It
has
to
be
pushed
down
to
pop
it
back
up.
Another
poor
design,
who
wants
to
put
their
hands
at
the
bottom
of
a
sink
where
everyone
spits
out
toothpaste?
Gross.
The
tub/shower
was
another
issue.
The
basin
was
incredibly
narrow,
no
anti
slip
mat,
no
grip.
I
slipped
and
almost
killed
myself.
It
was
super
slick.
The
shower
heads
were
confusing
to
control,
and
the
hand
held
shower
head
and
hose
was
broken
on
the
pole
which
made
it
difficult
to
keep
at
a
higher
level.
The
room
door
had
tons
of
gaps,
so
when
the
wind
was
blowing
and
the
windows
were
cracked
to
keep
it
cool,
the
door
whistled
ALL
NIGHT
LONG.
Speaking
of
doors,
let's
talk
about
the
front
door
to
the
hotel
(see
picture).
When
someone
opens
one
side,
the
other
side
of
the
door
gets
pulled
along
with
it.
Then
it
bangs
shut.
So
every
time
someone
entered
or
exited
the
building,
the
bang
was
heard
up
on
at
least
the
first
floor
in
front
of
the
building.
ALL
DAY
and
NIGHT
LONG.
Every
2-5
minutes
that
damn
door
was
banging.
Let's
talk
about
noise.
They
were
building
a
new
patio
of
some
sort
out
front.
We
loved
the
yelling
of
the
workers
and
the
constant
brick
saws
going
all
day.
Can't
close
the
windows
because
then
the
room
gets
too
warm.
There
was
a
big
spillover
party
one
night
out
front.
Maybe
a
dozen
drunk
people,
11pm-2am.
We
complained
to
the
person
at
the
desk
at
1am
and
he
said
"I'll
try
to
get
them
to
quiet
down."
Well,
they
went
on
for
another
hour.
Since
the
room
doors
have
gaps
all
around,
you
hear
EVERYTHING
in
the
hallways.
Someone
walking,
talking,
yelling,
the
doors
slamming
shut.
I
regret
booking
this
place,
it
was
a
disaster.
We
stayed
at
the
Address
in
Dublin
and
it
was
far
superior
to
this
one
in
Cork.
We
will
never
ever
stay
here
again.
I
have
nothing
really
good
to
say
about
our
stay
here
at
The
Address
Cork.
