👍👍 Great cafe with a cute breakfast. We ordered the vegetarian breakfast and Irish breakfast - both were great. There's limited seating but they take reservations so we'd recommend calling ahead on weekends. People often mention afternoon, staff, breakfast, good, cute, lovely, recommend, beautiful, cozy, scones,

Nestled on the buzzing Mccurtain street, Tara’s Tea Room is one of the cozy cafés that should’nt be missed. Famous for breakfast, brunch as well as afternoon tea, this quirky café offers a wide variety of menu. Every nook and corner looks elegant and aesthetic. Moreover, the food served was a treat to our tastebuds. We had ordered Irish breakfast, eggs benedict, scones with jam and fresh cream and black coffees. The texture for the eggs benedict was absolutely charming and it tasted as delicious as it looked. The scones were so fresh that they melted in our mouth and left a lingering taste of cream and jam. I would absolutely recommend this place and these food items for all the food lovers! ♥️

The cakes are very good. The staff is not the friendliest ever though. And I think they should have at least one vegan option for cakes. Vegan muffins or scones, so easy to do, and taste exactly like the dairy versions. They do offer a gluten-free option, but as a business we need to consider more sustainable options. And veganism is without a doubt the way to go.

Cosy comfortable and cute. Traditional style tea room with a good variety of teas and a pretty good menu including all day breakfast. We had the quiche which was nice but slightly overdone. Prices are reasonable and staff are pleasant

Best Irish breakfast I have tried in half a year. Really tasty and just a surprising portion for traveller! An opportunity for improvement - a plate could be warmed up/kept warm before serving as while enjoying this meal bit by bit - it cools down.

Your kitchen table away from home. Almost walked by, but so glad I didn't! The staff: welcoming. The ambience: quiet. The decor: cosy. The food: surprisingly versatile. ... A perfect spot to fill your tummy, restore your soul with a cuppa, relax into a book, or have a quiet chat. Thank you!

Tara's Tea Room was a lovely stop in Cork, the service was amazing. Always on hand to serve you but not in your face. They were so so lovely. The food was incredible and the environment and atmosphere was so beautiful and quirky and just what you want from afternoon tea. Truly loved our visit. ❤️

Super affordable tea room with pleasant staff! Came here with my wife on a Sunday early afternoon and it was pretty busy (good sign!). We sat down after 15 minutes and both got their afternoon tea. The quality of the sandwiches and cakes was very high! The portions were quite generous, as well. It was the perfect start to our Sunday afternoon!

Classic tea room. Cozy, crowded, warm, eclectic, and cute. Food: all top notch. From savory to sweet perfection. Service: Star taken off only because we were not given water despite ordering it and requesting after. Other than that, it was great. Atmosphere: cozy tea room. Comfy, cute, cozy, and casual .

My favourite place to go when I'm just in the mood for a cute little tea!! They serve you in the most beautiful teacups and saucers. It's a great place to sit and chat over a tea and cake! They also offer ample gluten free options! My only issue is how busy it gets, but thats what you get with running a great business!

First time in th city in over a year and a half. My favourite cafe was closed so I was recommended to go to Tara's Tea Rooms where I ordered Eggs Benedict. Hardly any Hollandaise and what was the equivalent of two hard boiled eggs on top. Very disappointed and hungry leaving. Thankfully, I wasn't expected to pay. Not sure if it was a once off or what but once bitten...

We came here today on very short notice for my niece's birthday. They accommodated us so quickly and the service was fantastic. Really cute place and lovely afternoon tea. Will be back, service is excellent.

One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Cork city. I go to Tara's pretty regularly with one friend or another. The staff are wonderful and have even accommodate a special request when celebrating a birthday. I really appreciate all their hard work!

Had a wonderful afternoon tea at Tara's Tea Room. Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and kind. There is a lovely atmosphere there; gorgeous mismatched tea cups and saucers, pretty and quirky decorations. We found the food to be absolutely delicious and the coffee was wonderful. The afternoon tea was made up of three tiers: sandwiches chosen by us from the lunch menu; mini scones with butter, jam and cream; and five mini cakes. I would love to return to Tara's Tea Room! I would recommend booking a table as it was quite busy (we were there on a Friday afternoon).

loveliest afternoon tea here :) such good value for €15, cheapest I’ve found anywhere else. The scones were fresh and warm, there were gluten free options as well! Earl grey tea was lovely and everything came very fast. Very generous portions for the afternoon tea, comes with either a sandwich, toasted sandwich or a panini, which are all good sizes. Brilliant place and so unique and vintage ❤️

This was our second visit to Taras Tea Rooms and it certainly will not be our last. We arrived in the very middle of a busy Saturday lunchtime with every table occupied. Donal was very accommodating and took my phone number and assured us that he’d ring when he had a table for us. 10 minutes later we were seated and served the most delicious pancakes. My daughter (11) loved the beautiful teacups hanging from the dressers and the mismatched quirky furniture. She used a tea strainer for the first time ever and decided that tea made from tea leaves is nicer. We both had pancakes which kept us full for the day, pot of tea and a hot chocolate with marshmallows for €20. Absolute bargain and a beautiful atmosphere. Thanks to Donal and all the staff for a beautiful birthday experience!!!
