Went early-ish on a Saturday morning, 10.20 as it opened at 10 but there were quite a few tables occupied already. Our orders were taken promptly and our hot drinks arrived relatively fast. Our food did take quite a while to arrive so be prepared to wait! Not a criticism just an observation. It isn't speedy service, instead relax and enjoy the quaint surrounds and atmosphere. Jim Reeves in the background welcoming you to his world... Thoroughly enjoyed the French Toast and bacon with blueberries and maple syrup. Too full to have anything afterwards from the wonderful dessert selection......next time!!

Had a terrible experience Really let dow by the cafe. First service was extremely slow we were waiting an hour for our food. Forgetting things we had ordered, brought out 2 glasses of water for 5 guests. Not one of us enjoyed the food. Crockery was sticky and poorly cleaned. I wouldn't even recommend this cafe to my worst enemy. Absolutely disgusted!

Such a cute spot for tea, coffee and a light brunch. Lovely vibe inside and out, some onsite parking, nice service, local ingredients. Recommend making reservations.

I always enjoy visiting The Workshop. Went there for breakfast today. It's a quaint little place full of wonderful trinkets and bric-a-brac. I had French Toast with bacon and Caramel Macchiato. Would recommend both wholeheartedly. The service was also super friendly as always and I am already looking forward to coming back again.

Wonderful, quirky little place!! Very busy on Saturdays, so booking is probably preferable, but we walked in and got seated fairly quickly! Indoor and outdoor seating available. Fabulous array of desserts which taste fab! Large selection of speciality teas available too, and the food looked great also!

This is truly an "interesting" café for all the right reasons. Its a place you'd go if you want to try something that's a little bit different but outside the city . The first thing you'll notice as you enter is an array of awards on the outside wall. The awards denote a consistent and conscientious approach that has made this café popular, despite its rather remote location. The cafe has been in operation since 2013, when two brothers Aiden and David set up a café in their dad's old workshop. It has a warm welcoming feeling, and one thing that marks it out is the vast array of antiques and memorabilia scattered throughout the eating area. Some are for sale but most serve to remind us of times long gone. The menu is quite good, focusing on traditional dishes and incorporating both a separate breakfast and a afternoon selection. The coffee (cappuccino) I had was good and the accompanying toasted chicken pesto sandwich was a real tasty delight. If you're prepared to travel a little bit, this place makes.. lot of sense if you're after something to break the routine of homogeneous city cafés. Would definitely recommend without hesitation and will be back.

You'll love this place for the first time you see it. The decoration of the house, inside and out is just amazing, beautiful! The place is homely and cozy. I'd describe this place as a tea room. They offer different types of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. And their menu is small but they have variety of options that go from breakfast to ice-cream! It's a must go, worth the trip!

Love the beef salad. Basically it's a bit of everything, cheese, bread, green salad, slice of beef, and more. It's a beautiful mix, really enjoy to have it with my coconut milk cappuccino. The place has a good atmosphere, and the car park is just in front it. Love place to enjoy with family and friends. Sure will be back

Lovely family run cafe & bakery. Decent parking. Best to order in advance if want to be seated as can fill up quite often.

Lovely way to spend a hour catching up with car picnic. First time here but won't be the last. The chocolate orange and after 8 hot chocolates are to die for!

If you like quirky this is a great place to visit..from the decor to the record player playing soulful sounds. The food was great...we had a soup a chowder and sandwiches and we took away some delicious brownies. 😋 Well done to those involved.

Great setting, fabulously interesting. Very disappointed with tea and scone on most recent visit. Scone didn’t taste fresh and when I queried it, they microwaved another for me and then had run out of cream so that needed to be organised. The tea was very weak. Two young members of staff were trying their best but were not on top of things. Will return sometime but not in the near future.

Situated in Ballygarvan (not far from cork airport) Family Run, Friendly welcome on arrival. Antique & vintage throughout. I had a chocolate brownie which was heated and served with iced cream & a cappuccino. They serve breakfast and lunch (soups/sandwiches) and they use a lot of local suppliers Tea is served in vintage fine bone china Friendly staff and reasonable pricing Highly recommend a visit

Lovely experience! Nice concept, yummy sandwiches and friendly staff

I usually have great food here for breakfast, but I've tried it for lunch recently... the sandwich was cut with a knife used to cut something with tomatoes, which I have a slight intolerance for. If you have any allergies, make sure to make them aware.

Something not quite right with the service. It's as if there is no one person in charge of any duty, and staff are left to their own devices. For a place that should have a relaxed feel, the service seems chaotic at best. If you're not in any rush to get served and have a few hours to relax in quirky surroundings then this is a nice place to visit. I shall try again on a Saturday morning where I won't mind the wait.

Had a lovely lunch with a friend recently hadn't been for a while due to an issue in 2019 but credit where due I was delighted with my visit. Lovely food, friendly staff, clean and cosy. Just one point my lunch was served on a slate I would have preferred a plate as pesto dripped but I saw it on time. We don't need to get clothes stained.

Tiny portions for what you pay for, and let's not talk about their sandwiches...I would have expected a place in the middle of the country side, where you need to drive to get to, with a small menu, to deliver good quality. The sandwiches were cold, not toasted, sliced pan style bread filled to the minimum. The four of us were hungry when leaving and went immediately somewhere else afterwards.

A gorgeous welcome awaits at this beautiful and homely cafe. Very accomodating to a dairy allergy and the staff are personable and professional. Food and coffee was delicious. A gem of a spot. We booked in advance and it was very busy, even midweek, so I would advise booking to avoid disappointment.

Half an hour for our food. A turkey sandwich and a simple pop up cake.We had also ordered a plain tea and a plain Americana coffee. Our food was eaten until the drinks were finally presented before I checked in with the server. Lovely surroundings but the wait and the slow service plus the price of the nearly 20€ for a tea a coffee a sandwich and a pop up generic mouthful. Won’t be back

Went for breakfast really nice, good menu with vegetarian options, arrived at 10am and by 10.30 it was starting to get very busy. Staff very friendly, good parking and lovely outdoor dining area. My advise is if going for breakfast 10am is the perfect time.

Fabulous service . The staff on Grace , Anna , Abigail , Luke and Susan were friendly , welcoming and attentive and made the visits one to remember!! The owner Aidan was also lovely and informative of the lengths he goes to ensuring all the produce used in the food is fresh and that Triona his sister makes all the cakes and scones herself in the house two doors down !! Such a cosy place , lovely atmosphere and really fantastic stand out staff. Will be back !!

Ordered a sandwich and a cup of soup. Took about half an hour to get the food. Soup was average at best and I could have made the sandwich at home in about 30 seconds. Cold sliced pan bread, and big lumps of grated cheese just thrown into the sandwich. Staff were nice enough I suppose but that’s about all you can say about the place. Safe to say I won’t be returning

Very small portions and expensive. I was overcharged for three items compared to the price on the menu. I pointed this mistake out to the manager and was assured the higher price was correct, he updated the register this morning but hasn't updated the menus yet! Really, the cafe can charge whatever price they want and it doesn't need to match the menu?!?!?
